So I brought my 2017 Kia Niro to Glenn's auto to be assessed for some white smoke that I had noticed coming out of the exhaust for some time (frankly I just no nothing about cars so figured the car was just doing it because it's an older vehicle). But I decided I would just get it checked out before it got worse. I was greeted by Jason and Mike when I first arrived to drop off my car. Jason listened intently to all my concerns about the car, and I know this because he wrote it all down on the intake form. So this made me feel like I was somewhere that cares about their customers. I left the car for a several hours while the mechanic ran a full diagnostic assessment. Unfortunately, there was no clear answer to issue on the first day. So Jason called and asked if it would be okay to keep the car overnight and run some additional diagnostics. They offered a "loaner car" in the time. The next day Jason called to follow up and informed me that they had identified the issue and asked if I wanted to proceed with the work. He provided me with the quote (gut punching expensive, but I figured it was still worth it than letting the issue get worse and lead to other issues). So I approved the work to commence. Jason indicated that it would be a couple days for the replacement part to arrive but once received the work should be done relatively quickly. In the meantime they indicated that I could keep the loaner car while my car was being repaired and that the only cost of the loaner would be the cost to refill the gas. Monday afternoon Jason called to inform me that the piece had already arrived and had been replaced but that they wanted to keep the car overnight to make sure no other diagnostic issues were found. I needed to get a smog check as well so I agreed. I was able to pick up my car Tuesday morning and to this day (about month from the repair), the car continues to run without any further issue. read more

I understand why Glenn's Auto Service has so many 5 star reviews! I was involved in a car accident last year and it took 4 1/2 months to get my car back (from another shop). I was a bit traumatized! My car has had low power for the past 4 months. I took it into Glenn's Auto Service. Jason recommended that I take it to the dealership to do the repairs since it was probably covered under the warranty. I spoke with the dealer and they informed me there were multiple ways to void the warranty and I wouldn't know until I got there if that was the case. I told Jason that I would rather have the work done here. He sent me a message later that day with the specific findings of there research. I told them to begin the work. I was anticipating it taking at least a couple days and possibly a week or more. He called me the same day informing me that they were done. Don't bring your car here ! They definitely over charge for their work . I was quoted thousands for a repair job that in reality cost 700.00. I saved thousands going else where! They say they're charging you extra for excellent customer service . No doubt they do have excellent customer service however that should not be the reason to overcharge a consumer 80% more than what the work is actually worth. When my other mechanic took the car apart and examined all the parts that they said needed to be replaced, the parts were actually intact and in very good condition almost new. So I called two honda dealers; they both said they would charge slightly less then $1,500 for both the diagnosis and to fix the problem (if the problem was as Glenn described). So I took the car to one of the Honda dealers. They charged slightly less than $1,500 for both the diagnosis and the repair. That is a savings of over $400! I though independent repair shops were supposed to be less expensive than dealerships, not more expensive. read more

Be careful when bringing in your car here. I brought my car in and was told that one of my ignition coils was not working properly and I needed to replace my spark plugs. I was told that it was better to replace all the ignition coils. The total cost for replacing the coils, spark plugs, labor and diagnostic test was $2,050. I called the dealer to ask for their pricing and I was quoted $1,072 for the same exact thing. I also called other mechanics and was quoted for way less. It seems like Glenn's is charging more for whatever reason. read more

Mike's an absolute perfectionist! I have used these guys now on 2 different cars and every time they have diagnosed and handled my specific problems quickly and for way less than the other quotes I was getting. I'll start with my 2006 Lexus IS250 which had 3 dash lights on: check engine, VSC light, and traction control light. I was told by a different mechanic that it was going to need a new catalytic converter for $2000+. I brought the car in, had these guys diagnose it and they came back with a hose that had come unplugged due to a bad motor mount. So they put on a longer hose and fixed the motor mount, all for under $400. The other car was a check engine light on a Honda Civic that ended up just being the gas cap and I got out of there spending less than $20. My catalytic converter(s) were stolen from my Tundra and I was able to work through my AAA insurance (minus deductible) to tow my Truck to a certified AAA Shop - Glenn's Auto Service. This was my first experience working with Glenn's auto service and I can say with great confidence that it will be my default auto repair shop from now on. I had the pleasure working with Jacob Schneider who walked me through all of the required parts and repairs that were needed to replace the catalytic converters. Additionally Jacob was able to help me address other repair issues that were encountered during their standard inspection. One other major concern that Glenn's auto was able to address was how to prevent or detour having my catalytic converter stolen again, this was addressed when Jacob was able to find a cat security system and have it installed on my truck for a reasonable price which adds Peace of Mind when I park my truck on the street knowing that there is some form of deterrent for the next thief. Came in needing my alternator replaced. Simple job for a mechanic. I told the guy over the phone, my car cut off while driving and I'm sure it's the alternator. The guy said, no problem bring it in. I brought my car in. I called the shop later that day, they said they was just about to hook my car to the diagnostic machine to confirm its the alternator. He called me back in minutes to confirm and gave me the total to replace the alternator. Few hours later, I went to pick up my car. I was told $60 was added for the diagnostic test. I never heard a auto shop adding the diagnostic test amount to the total. It's waved once the customer agreed to have the shop work on the car. If the customer declined the shop services, the shop then charge for the diagnostic test. Other than that, the workers are very nice. Not sure if I would go back. read more
