I have finally tried this sandwich! It was described to me as 'heavenly' and then best chicken sandwich there is' and I was skeptical to try because of such hype reviews :) however I must say, the sandwich is really really good. I have the Jamaican one and it was really good! The chicken was much bigger than the bun, which made the bite feel really juicy and tasty (unlike other places where the bun is 80% of the sandwich). I spent $10 on a sandwich that was soggy, Drenched, and described horribly on their online ordering site (ordered maple butter and the sandwich was spicy!!). I arrived 15 min after I ordered and it seemed like the chicken sandwich was sitting out for 30+ minutes. Horrible experience there- especially as I paid a premium at $10 a sandwich with no sides. Furthermore, spend $14 on wings that were overcooked, their Thai chili sauce is basic as best. Overall experience I spent almost $30 and was extremely disappointed. Don't get me wrong - it's a really good chicken sandwich. Decent size for the price too. We got the "Hanoi" (Vietnamese) and the "Katsu" (Japanese), as well as the Cole Slaw and "Ma's Carrot Slaw". We cut them in half so we could each have both; it was really hard to tell them apart, they were just not that unique. The chicken was really tasty dark meat, kinda greasy, the potato roll was fine. The slaw's were both ok but nothing special. I would go back if I had to, but there are too many great spots in Fed Hill and if I want something like this I would ABSOLUTELY go to Eki-Ben instead for the "Neighborhood Bird" because BRD is not in their league. read more

I really do love brd in federal hill. Everytime I go the food is delicious. The only problem is the customer service. I've given it 5 different tries and every time the customer service is the absolute worst. Tonight, I asked for ketchup since the dispenser was out and we they claimed they couldn't help me because the cashier had the ketchup. It's experiences every time that make me not want to deal With this location any longer. It just really ruins the atmosphere when asking for ketchup causes issues. I hope it gets better but it will be a while before I try again. read more

Lets get this out of the way. Really good chicken sandwich with unique flair. However, it took over 25 minutes to get said samdwich. This was the first item on their menu - Bmore Bird - so i figured no more than 5-10 minutes. I was wrong. It looked like the kind of late night yummy quick bite that would hit the spot. I just got uncomfortably hungry watching them prepare all the other food items during the course of the night. The food tastes good just like R House, but the staff has absolutely no idea what they are doing. The workers do not have their hair fully covered by their hairnets, and so I found hair in my sandwich. When I returned it, they made me a new one, but made the wrong sandwich. When I told them that it was not the right sandwich, they took it back and picked off the toppings by hand and gave it back to me, so it still tasted like the toppings I did not like nor want. I won't go to any business that won't accept money as payment. It's like they don't want customers. I've had BRD at the Remington location (at R House) and was happy with with the sandwiches I've gotten in the past. This time, craving Ekiben on a Sunday (Ekiben isnt open on Sundays and the Jones Falls Market isnt open yet), this was my back up option. I ordered via their website/toast for pick up as we were in a car and trying to get to our next destination. The Fed Hill location is right across from Cross Street Market (which i guess can be both a blessing and a curse) as its easy to find, but boy is parking a fun experience. The boy dropped me off at the corner and I hurried in to get my sammich and fries. The fries are suppose to be seasoned, and they are... sorta. They do season the top but i found that the seasoning was concentrated on the fries at the top and by the bottom there wasnt much seasoning left. The sammich appearance was also little to be desired, I was in such a hurry (and in a car) so I didnt get pictures but the bread was smooshed down onto the chicken. I got the hanoi brd so the spicy siracha mayo was all over the wrapper and some made it on the sandwich too but it was very messy looking (and messy to eat) but these sandwiches often are so no points off really for that. The pickled veggies could use more time in the vinegar.. All in all a solid choice, but I def like my Ekiben slightly more than the Brd. read more

Ordered delivery. Arrived early and everything went smoothly. I got the Bombay and my bf got the Hanoi. Fries on the side. Both sandwiches were amazing! The chicken was juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside, just like fried chicken should be! Toppings and sauce were fantastic and just the right amount of heat. My one complaint is that the fries were room temperature by the time they got to us and warming them up made them crunchy and weird. Came here for some late night drunchies and this place did not disappoint! A modem style fast casual with one big long table for seating. The Baltimore bird chicken sandwhich was to die for! It was poppin at BRD this past weekend in the middle of the Halloween bar crawl. I was getting to the point in the night when I needed protein and carbs to continue on with my adventures and BRD was very conveniently there for me in my time of need. The service was efficient despite the big crowd in there and my Katsu sandwich + fries were bomb (and I don't think I'm just saying this because I was 4 hard seltzers in). I live in the area (pigtown) and I was trying to decide on lunch. My boyfriend reminded me that BRD open a new shop near our house. We love the one at RHouse. So we rushed over we parked about a two blocks away luckily everything is mostly free on the weekend! The shop it's in reminds me of a tiny chipotle set up free seating at a big table and two window tables with a couple stools each. The menu is centered on their chicken with a few sides ( fries coleslaw and something else), and drinks. I ordered their signature BMORE BRD ($9) which is two chicken patties pickles old bay and their house sauce. The sandwich is huge. They order a free water station that I utilize today. My boyfriend had the sweet Thai chili wings ($13 regular size) he had the peanuts that normally come on it taken off. The wings were juicy and flavorful with a touch of heat. The fries ($3.50) were well season warm and crisp. My boyfriend being from the south loves sweet tea and he said theirs was perfect. They had ketchup n vinegar as dressing I use both with them. Great lunch close to home. Will be returning a lot in the future lol read more

Oh Baltimore you rarely disappoint when it comes to food and BRD is no exception. My husband and I ordered two Hanoi, one mild and one spicy. The pickled daikon and carrots were perfect. Lovely zesty flavor and still somewhat crisp. We ended up saving one for he pieces of chicken from each sandwich. They definitely don't skimp on the protein portion of the sandos. The BRD sauce makes for great fry dipping. We will definitely add this to our places to go when we come back to Baltimore. read more

Honestly this review isn't much on the quality of the food but the quality of the service. Every time that I have ordered delivery from BRD, it takes a minimum of an hour just for them to cook the food. Which I guess, okay, maybe if they are busy? But I usually order during the slower times. Also, it seems that they have never failed to scare off almost every single Uber driver that walks through their doors, because on this particular occasion the first one left after wishing 20 MINUTES for milkshakes, then the second one also left after what I'm assuming is they had to remake the order entirely after having it sit for so long. I'm genuinely very confused as to how an establishment could manage to scare or piss off people on so many occasions and still manage to remain as popular as they are. I've also had an occasion when I waited over an hour for my food just for them to cancel my order the minute the Uber driver arrived.
