This happened to me on my first visit, but thankfully, the Customer Service Desk refunded my purchase, helped me sign up for their free membership, and reprocessed my checkout with the lower 'member' prices. It's a little puzzling why they require membership if it's free--likely to track purchases--but just a fair warning for newcomers to Big Y. Now, onto the main reason for my review: I'd heard great things about their fish and chips and had to try it. For around $13.99 plus tax, I received two large pieces of perfectly fried, steaming hot white fish, served over a bed of lukewarm fries. It came with a small side of coleslaw and tartar sauce--a solid deal. I also found out you can upgrade to onion rings at no extra charge (wish I'd spotted that option before ordering!). The gentleman who cooked up my meal was super nice and helpful. They offer a small dining area near the store's entrance where you can enjoy any of their ready-to-eat meals. While the space is basic, a staff member was keeping the tables clean between guests. Eating fish there did make me feel a bit self-conscious, as it filled the area with its aroma. Overall, I'd order the fish and chips again but I would probably ask to have them put a piece of 'wax paper' between the fish and fries.

I always go here when I visit and bring my husband back some real good capicola and grab some Sopresseta for me! This is a fantastic place to shop, and they have just about everything you could need. Quick service back at the deli no matter how busy they are. The store is always clean and well kept and organized. He and his family are moving soon and I know how much they will miss their biweekly trips to Market 32!!!

Green beans in a bag and cut butternut squash got moldy days before expiration same thing with salad mix. I already stopped buying alcohol and deli there years ago . I now buy my produce at S & S .

Went to get a flue shot last year an there was no one in line but had to make an appointment ( went to website and only could get directions ). The pharmacy is closed 7- I am also annoyed by the robotic floor cleaner.
