We've been to this place three times now and really enjoy it. They have a sandwich of the day every…read moreday of the week for less than $4. I had the tuna one day and cheese steak another day. Also had the special on Sunday - which was like an Italian sub. All were fresh, great and filling. Very good prices. They will add all kinds of condiments. Make it any way that you like. The people working are very kind. Fast. The ingredients are not super high quality - but they are tasty. The price and service is worth it. It seemed very fresh regardless. I am unsure how I feel about the bread. It's a soft roll and very tasteless. Super thick. I am from Philly, so I'm used to Italian bread / crusty / crunchy bread. I wonder if maybe they'd consider getting some hard rolls. Either way, ask for the bread to be toasted on the grill and it makes a big difference. I also asked to scoop out the middle. Notes: Park across the street NO bathroom Picnic tables outside to eat on Consider ordering ahead, the shop itself is very small This place gets a lot of regulars and they aren't super nice - one lady was rushing in there to get her sandwich and literally pushed us out of the way. That has nothing to do with the business - but I can say they handled it well and made sure we had everything we needed.

I have been getting subs from Angelina's for over 60 years, both in Adams and then North Adams. I called the shop and the person in charge that evening and she said this is the way they always made their subs. This was always one of my favorite to go places, usually once a week. I will NOT order from North Adams any more. I will give the Adams store a try. If it is the same, I won't ever order from them again.

Unfortunately, the food didn't live up to it. The fried tomatoes were cut way too thick and just weren't good. Our food came out cold, which was disappointing. I had the kafta, and it was just okay. I also tried the pierogies that my wife and kids ordered--they were decent, but nothing I'd go back for. Overall, the atmosphere was better than the food.

We were in town for Solid Sound and it was hot! So Saturday afternoon we went looking for a…read morerestaurant where we could sit down and have some food, beer, and AC. Door Prize was hitting on all cylinders. We came in at a time between lunch and dinned so they ware not taking on many new patrons but they let the three of us sit at the bar. We ordered up three beers while enjoying the coolness and checking out the food menu. The interior is some nice dark wood with just enough lighting. the bar was comfortable. I ordered up the schnitzel sandwich and the guys got potato pierogis and beef pierogis. My sandwich was pretty good. I of course ordered it without the mayo so only have the pickles. The meat was maybe a little thing and close to overdone. The pickles were sour and bright and added some good kick to the sandwich. The fries were bountiful, well seasoned, and good. The guys liked the pierogis. We ended with a shot for some reason and that was good too. I guess that was Andrew's idea. The bartender was friendly, kept things going, and nice. I guess this should be a five star review except that the weirdness of some people could come in and not others until dinner time. I should be grateful we got in but I and not sure what was going on. Anyway I am sure that we will be back at the Door Prize with the next Solid Sound because it is good!
