I interviewed about 6 moving companies and right away from talking with Abner I felt comfortable. Other moving companies were very persistent, trying to sell me, and seemed dishonest. Abner was very responsive and straight forward but did not contact me again after initial quote until I decided to go with him. He garunteed pick up date and arrival date (and time and was 10 minutes early each time!) which was huge for us as our move had to be very scheduled and other companies quoted us a 2 week interval (or more!) of when our items would be delivered. His crew in Houston arrived and packed our entire apartment, included disassembling basic items. They were extremely professional and efficient. Every item even valuable and breakable items arrived in perfect condition. He met us in San Fransisco 5 days later and him and two others unloaded all our boxes and assembled any dissassembled items. Again very professional and efficient. Iron back movers turned what could have been a very stressful move into 0 stress. Abner was extremely hardworking, professional, and easy to work with as was every member of his team. We hope we can use him for any future moves even though we are no longer in Houston!

They were very responsive when we inquired (via text) and I liked that they charged per hour based on the number of movers you requested. We scheduled the moving date, signed a contract, and were ready to go! On moving day, the movers arrived promptly and they were so quick in moving everything! within two hours everything had been moved out of our townhome! It took them another hour and a half to move everything to the new place. Very impressed! They also wrapped certain pieces of furniture for us and disassembled as well as assembled others. Cost was reasonable as well. I would say they are more cost efficient compared to other movers we had inquired. Overall we had a good experience with iron/back movers and would use them again for our next move!

A brand new freezer, a new washer and dryer were damaged so badly that it will be better to just purchase new appliances than try to repair the.Tey tore the door handle from the freezer, the door from the dryer and crushed the control area(dials and knobs) of the washer.All this during a 100 mile move.The owner was among the hands on workers and when i called him out on these damages..all he had to say was"I only handled the dryer and saw no damage.He knew all these items were damaged and seemed to "NOT be at all concerned.I trusted that this company would secure my belongings and be very careful because it was only 100 miles to deliver to new lacation.I didn't take the 250.00 extra insurance.I can only claim .60 cents a pound.and that will be sooo much red tape and not even cover the actual value of these items.I am warning others..DO NOT use "Fletcher Moving and Storage CO."Of Angleton Texas.These guys are completely incompetent and incorrigible and shoud not be in business! Disappointing Experience with Inflexible Policies…read more I had a very disappointing experience with this moving company. I reached out to them for a move and placed a deposit as required. Unfortunately, they were unable to provide the services I needed, but despite that, they refused to refund my deposit--stating their policy only allows refunds if they are late. This kind of rigid policy makes absolutely no sense when the company cannot meet the customer's needs, regardless of whether it's a last-minute change or not. Life happens, and reputable businesses understand that flexibility is a part of customer service, especially in an industry where schedules and logistics often change unexpectedly. What's even more frustrating is that they refused to take any responsibility for the situation. They treated it as if it was entirely on me, rather than acknowledging that they were unable to deliver the service as promised. Other moving companies I've dealt with in the past have been far more understanding and customer-oriented--willing to refund deposits when they can't meet the agreed-upon terms. I would not recommend this company unless you're 100% certain your plans won't change and you're willing to risk losing your deposit even if they fall short on their end. There are plenty of other movers out there with fairer and more customer-friendly policies.

I moved from a two bedroom apartment on the second floor in Richmond, to Lubbock. I wish I could have brought them with me to Lubbock to help me unload too, lol! When I I picked up my truck and went back to my apartment, I was seriously doubting my choice in size of trucks. I kept thinking I messed up and should have gotten a bigger truck.
