I took my Truck there with Running engine for repair. I asked them estimate, they wanted me to wait for 1 Hour. After that they gave me estimate of $4500 for some repairs on the Truck. It looked expensive to me and I wanted to Try another mechanic to make sure I'm not being over charged. Guess what? They car was not Running any more. They opened many parts from engine. I asked the mechanic to put it back on, He was very Rude and said: NO, YOU NEED TO PAY AT LEAST 4-5 Hours Labor to me, (4x$120), Minimum $500 to put them back on. They never had my permission to take off parts from engine for Diagnostic. I asked Manager to Talk and the Manager was even Worst and Rude. He was forcing to charge me. They never put parts back and I Had to get Tow truck to take out my car because I was sure their plan is to just charge you, No matter what. I called Tow truck to come and take it to another mechanic. Finally they charge me $100 for Diagnosing fee and my car was Not running any more. I payed a lot to tow the car to different mechanics and No one touched the car because some else took parts out and cut the bolts off. A few weeks later any other mechanics recommended me to take it to the original shop who took the engine apart and ask the to put parts back and make engine running like it was originally for Diagnosing and repair. I went back to the shop and talked to the Manager Which still was so Rude. Asked Him to fix the Car With His original Estimate around $4500. Guess what? This time he said $6500 for same repair. What normal person or Owner Does that? That was unbelievable. I asked them to do at least for $5500 for same original estimate of $4500. Same work just because I left and had to come back. They knew it and it was part of their plan. The manager said No. You have to pay $6500, Nothing less. I asked him to put the parts back like originally and pay him the labor he wanted. He Said No. I told the Owner I will leave reviews and let other people know about it. He said Do it, I Don't Care about reviews. I had to leave because I was sure even if I pay them the $6500 they never fix it and then want $10,000. The whole car Doesn't worth more that $6000. Unfortunately, my experience matches what other reviewers have described. Also, this company has a few unresolved BBB complaints recently. In May 2022, they installed a throttle body on my 2007 Ford Explorer. Shortly afterward, the vehicle began having intermittent stalling, and it has steadily worsened. A throttle body should last 100,000 miles or the life of the vehicle, so this kind of failure this soon after installation is unacceptable. Last week, a second mechanic at a Yelp four-star shop inspected it and said the throttle body was "faulty out of the box" and not a Motorcraft or Original Equipment Supplier part. When I brought the vehicle back to Eric's, they kept it for three full days, then told me "nothing is wrong" and attempted to charge me $125 to "look into it" -- exactly the kind of delay and added fees others have warned about. The manager blamed the delay on having only one mechanic and my vehicle being "in line." To make it worse, they claimed the warranty had expired, but when I asked for the signed warranty documentation, they couldn't produce it. If you're going to deny coverage, you should be able to provide the paperwork you say I agreed to. Run -- don't walk -- away from this shop.

Foster's charged only $1250 and has been the best service with the most hospitable owners I have ever met within this industry! Mike and Alan will tell you exactly what problems your cars are having and offer you options for your vehicle. I let them know I only plan to use my car for a couple more years as it's getting old and worn. Unlike other places that are sketchy and corporate owned, they offered me the best parts but even offered me cheaper options knowing my car's situation. They don't make as much profit off it but Alan and Mike aren't in the business to cheat you out of your money; they're in the business for their love of cars and to carry on the family business. They even gave me a ride back to my place and picked me up once my car was done. These guys can get your car in and out of the shop within a day, whatever the task may be. Don't get cheated out of your money by going to a corporate owned shop. Not that I'm against corporations, but it's undeniable that a corporation's goal is to make as much profit as possible. I have called and visited around Houston and Foster's has by far the lowest labor rate, which is why they're such a great deal. They give you an even lower labor rate when it's your first visit. Mike and Alan want the best for you and will only recommend things for your car if you actually need it, not to try to yank an extra dollar off you. If you're looking for the best service, the best prices, and the most knowledgeable and honest mechanics, Foster's is your go-to shop!

I asked service advisor Cameron to give me a estimate on an engine replacement. Cameron quoted nearly $5000 for an engine with 84,000 miles on it. He said the warranty would be only six months. I said no, I can't accept the estimate and asked for my car on Friday (June 19, 2026). Cameron stated that he could not get my car out because there was 20 cars in the way and that he did not have the man power to move all those cars and that I would need to come back on Monday (June 22, 2026). When I received my car, I could not drive it because the steering was malfunctioned. Cameron looked at my car and stated that the power steering fluid was leaking out. I explained to Cameron that my car was not leaking power steering fluid when I brought the car to Foster's. I am convinced that Cameron INTENTIONALLY damaged my power steering. I have had my car since 2014 and have NEVER had a power steering leak until I picked my car up from Foster's. Cameron is neither an honest nor an honorable man. I will NEVER take my car to Foster's again.

I finally got around to having a pro tune my car (you know the one). I am now sitting at 321 WHP. The dead spots in the Houston Z Auto tune were so obvious and annoying. I don't know who tuned my car, but I know it wasn't Dane. I hear Dane is the only guy you want here.

It looked totally hopeless. I happen to pull into the place when I was about to goto the dealership which was going to cost an arm and leg. I paid I about 144 for diagnostic and they determined that it was a failed water pump. they had the car for two days max to make sure the found everything. Water pump was replaced with original Volkswagen parts and they kept my updated with pictures of the part and the work. price was very reasonable considering this is a German car and the complexity of the work. I was more than satisfied with the work and professionalism of the staff. I got a two year warranty on the work and the car drives perfect again. I definitely will be back for any other work I may need in the future.
