These guys are awesome! They do a fantastic job and don't break your wallet. I will not take my cars anywhere else since I met them. Nancy

Very knowledgeable about every aspect of my 2003 Toyota Tacoma maintenance. They always correctly diagnose mechanical issues and keep my truck running. read more

Honest. Fairly priced. Transparent communications. Quality work. My wife was told by the dealership that the AC in car needed $5K in repairs. Some things didn't add up, so I started looking around for a local mechanic to get a second opinion. I came upon Upland Car Pros and saw only 5 start reviews on Yelp, which is rare, and 4.9 on Google, so something was worth checking out. Their webpage is very simple with their phone number, address, and hours. No advertising for themselves even on their own webpage. They let their reviews and referrals do the talking. I talked to Ramon about what the dealer told me, and he immediately said something wasn't right, because of the two parts quoted, it didn't make sense to replace the second item, because its performance was dependent on the first item. He explained to me how the different parts interacted and how they would have to check them in order to see if it addressed the issue before moving to the next part. He gave me an option that would be low cost but could get things cooling again, but might not actually fix the problem if it's elsewhere. He also gave me another option that was a bit more but if there were other issues like leaks, it would help with locating them, and it is something that would have to be done if the low cost option didn't work. So I opted for the higher cost option, playing the long game. Ramon and his father, Robert, checked things out and determined that the first part that the dealer quoted did, in fact, need to be replaced, which they were able to do for a third of what the dealership quoted. After that was replaced, the AC was blowing cold, but then it would warm up again. Robert determined that there was an obstruction in the system, but knew that the compressor was functioning properly due to the pressure and temp readings in the high and low pressure sides. He replaced the expansion valve, now the system is running perfectly. Total cost of parts and labor was $950. This is even more significant, because had I done what the dealer recommended, a) it would NOT have fixed the problem, b) I would have paid to have a perfectly good part replaced, and c) I would still have had to have the expansion valve replaced. Ramon and Robert did systematic troubleshooting, were able to determine the root cause of the problem, and fixed it. They looked over the rest of the car and said that everything else looked like it was in good shape and said the only thing they might recommend would be to flush and replace the various fluids, but he also said I should go through my records to determine when they were last replaced so that I know which ones are due and which ones can wait. This is the type of collaborative relationship that everyone should expect from whoever is maintaining your vehicle, and Ramon and Robert deliver. They have the right attitude in that if they do their job honestly, then you'll trust them and keep coming back to them when the need arises. They've definitely earned my business. read more

A Honest, economical and quality shop to get car of any make fixed. Have been its customer for over two decades.

I found this place when I was selling my car and the buyer want to have it checked. I was impressed with the quality of workmanship that surpass the dealership. From now on, I and my friends dont go to a road trip without having Robert looking at it. read more

I brought my Prius here after being recommended by a friend whose husband had brought his car here. I originally had taken my car to another place () who estimated the cost of the repairs to be $2,500. Nothing bad really happened to my car, which was frustrating. I was just driving it and a bunch of lights came on. After taking it to Upland Car Pros, they actually took the time to look up the warranty and found that my warranty had been extended and all repairs were going to be covered. I had looked up the repair cost and many people said getting the same things fixed on their cars was anywhere from $2,500 to $4,000. I am SO grateful for the men here who saved me SO MUCH money. I will definitely continue bringing my car here! read more

This place is amazing! I will never bring my truck to another auto repair place. They did an amazing job at a reasonable price.

Ramon and Robert are the best. They have literally saved me thousands. They work hard to find out what the real issue is and don't charge an arm and a leg for their services. I always leave my car there with a peace of mind because I know I can trust them. They have even told me not to get certain work done telling me that I do not need it. No better mechanic in the Houston area! read more

I have been going to Robert's shop for about a year now after adding a 3rd car to our family and growing tired of dealing with the local Honda dealership. A simple oil change at the Honda dealer always seems to turn into a $400 bill for stuff they say I need and "find". This is not the case with Robert and his crew- they are HONEST and I trust them completely with my Accord, Odyssey and Toyota Sequioa. If Robert says it's broken and needs to be replaced, then it's broken and needs to be replaced. He and his crew know what they're doing and I feel it's their ultimate goal to take care of your car's health and do so economically and professionally. Don't waste your time at the dealers anymore, his shop isn't a fancy, shiny lounge and it's not on the freeway- it's just a great place to get your car taken care of. read more

Been going to Upland since 2004. Finding a good car mechanic is HUGE. After finding out the hard way that dealerships rip you off BIG TIME, I found these guys. I've used them for my Honda and Lexus for almost 15 years. They're honest & will always tell you what the dealership will do for free (warranty, recall etc). I love that they know what years have specific issues & give me the option of aftermarket parts. Since I do oil changes here too, I also appreciate that they give me a heads up that certain things are coming up... "need two front tires in a couple months" or "break pads when we do the rotors soon", it allows me to plan and budget accordingly, never any surprises. These guys are awesome! read more

I've been coming to Robert for the last 4-5 years. The people are wonderful. They are honest and get you the best deal possible.

My boyfriend and I were visiting my family in Houston and had to make it back home to San Antonio before dinner time, but his car was having issues with the accelerator. It started right when we left to hit the road. I don't know much about cars, but it seemed bad enough to check on before we left. We came here on a whim, and I'm so glad we did. Family owned business, they didn't try to get a leg up on us even though it was pretty clear we were in a pinch. They were able to get the part and make the repairs for his car right in time for us to leave and make it back in time for all of our appointments. I would 1000% recommend this place to anyone looking for a mechanic. Great experience all around read more

Great place to take your car. I've had my car in for several preventative maintenance items, as well as one repair, and have always been very happy with both the service and cost. Ramon is always great about breaking down what everything costs as well, as well as working with your schedule. And his father Robert is a talented and dedicated mechanic. Pleased with all the work done. read more

Robert (owner) and lead mechanic is an honest, hard-working and very talented mechanic. You don't need a second opinion when working with him. He truly takes care of you, gives you the best prices, honest diagnosis/opinion and as a result, I've been loyal to him and his shop for well over 7+ years! I have recommended numerous friends and colleagues as well and I have brought a total of at least 3-4 of my own vehicles over the years to get serviced by Robert and his team. read more

My family's vehicles has gone here for over a decade & we trust them so much. They won't overcharge & great customer service as well

These ppl are soooooo awesome. They do awesome work and they don't sit here and try to have you get a million things done like a dealership does. I always bring my vehicles here. I've been going to them for like the last 8-9 years. Would certainly recommend them to everyone!!!!! read more

Good Family owned business. Very trustworthy and helpful.

My husband has used this shop for years. He swears by them. This is a family run business and they care about their customers since 1990. . Recently he had some work done and within a month had to go back - the shop did the work for free because they said it was under warranty and it should have not been an issue. Now that is honest in my book! They advertise that they work on Hondas and Acuras. I believe they also work on other cars since I own a Toyota and they have worked on it too. If you live off I-10 you need to try this shop. My husband always calls for an appointment so that they can get his car back quickly. read more

We love Robert - efficient and he really knows his stuff. On a recent repair for my Prius, he wasn't sure about the noise. He took it to one of his buddies to get a second opinion. Alternatively, when his buddies need help, Robert always shares his knowledge. We've been customers for more years than I remember and we'll never go anyplace else. read more

Been a customer for 10 years, my family gets their car serviced with these guys too. They are very fair in their estimates, and are very honest. Never have had any issues with repairs done to my clunker. They keep my old car running like new. I've met customers that drive from as far as Clear Lake and Nasa 1 to have Upland Honda fix their cars cars. Their lot is always with customers, all word-of-mouth referrals. They don't advertise at all, they don't need to!! They are very good, so they always have clientele. Even coworkers, I have told them about Upland Honda. If anything get a second opinion with them. They will give you an expert honest opinion with a fair price. read more
