Would not recommend coming here at all. Needed a washer and dryer. Butch lied to me about delivery dates that they would be delivered together. No call or anything that they were coming separate when I postponed the date to get them at the same time. Changed his story multiple times about he told me that but then said it was damaged. Did not give correct invoices with rebate codes. The first delivery crew was fine. The second was just one male who had no idea what and he was doing, could not get the whole washer hooked up, and hooked things up incorrectly 3 times. Was over a 2 hour process for it to be done wrong and he seemed to be under the influence. Had to call my plumber to get it properly installed. read more

Short story, long: May 30th purchased a fridge, and range. Stephanie was super helpful. 6/19/25 both items delivered. Fridge is great, Range has an error code F2E1 Stuck Button call for Service. So I did. In 1 week Joseph from service came out. Spent 10 minutes of the 4 hour window concluding that we need a new control board for the range. He ordered it. 7/10/25 Joseph returns to install the new control board. As he takes apart the range, he is leaving scratches all over the front of the range. Once apart he discovers the parts dept ordered the incorrect control board. He puts the range back together, tells me he will escalate this matter and get this replaced immediately. Joseph told me that he will call me later the same day, or first thing 7/11. I'm still awaiting the call. I call Stephanie and explain to her, at this point I suggest to replace the range. I go to Bray and Scarf on 7/12/25 tell my plight to a pair of gentlemen, and they shrug their shoulders, tell me Stephanie is not in, tell me to take photos of the scratches and email them to Stephanie. Zero Help. I email everything to Stephanie same day. I call Stephanie on Monday 7/14/25 she tells me they received the pics and she is forwarding them to service. I told her at that time, no more repairs, please replace the range. She tells me I will get a call from service. 7/16/25 I get a call from the service manager I tell her my plight. She gathers all the info and lets me know she or someone will get back in touch with me about a resolution. 7/21/25 No calls from ANYONE. I call service, some guy picks up, sees all my notes, tells me he is sending this to the escalation team, and I will hear back from the escalation team later this day, or tomorrow. 7/23/25 no calls from ANYONE. And here I sit with a broken/scratched range that was $1600.00. Add in the fridge and total spent was $6000.00. All the reviews are right!!! Their service SUCKS, and by the way, at the beginning of this review I called service. I have been on hold for 25 minutes, throughout this entire review. All Bray and Scarf care about is the sale. It started out OK, our sales person, Tom, seemed knowledgeable. He prompted us to pay in full with a slight amount of pressure to "get us i the system." Now 2 months later we have not received our dishwasher and the deadline has slipped 2x. No word from the company. We have to keep calling. We canceled our yearly St Patricks Day party because hand washing for so many people would not have been very fun or worked out very well. We are beyond frustrated. We almost bought a frig also; so glad we did not. I do not plan to use this company because once they get your money many weeks in advance, you dont hear anything. Beware about purchasing an appliance with extended warranty. Bray and Scarff won't tell you that the company for extended warranty repairs, named Centricity, is outright dishonest. It will not honor a truthful repair request or financial payment for an appliance considered more costly to repair. Centricity will give the customer a continuous runaround, claiming it is reviewing the claim. Meanwhile, Bray and Scarff will say "we can't do anything about it." read more

Regarding Bray & Scraff's so-called Product Protection Plan. While my initial purchase experience in 2024 would have earned five stars, my experience with their warranty service has been unacceptable and has reduced my rating to two stars. In February 2024, I purchased a full suite of GE Café appliances from the Bray & Scraff Annapolis, MD store as part of a kitchen remodel. Delivery went smoothly for my contractor to install the appliances. I also purchased a five-year protection plan for both the refrigerator and dishwasher. On October 24, 2025, the freezer section of the Café refrigerator failed completely. I followed the advertised procedure under the protection plan and called the service number provided. I was then redirected to Centricity, Bray & Scraff's service provider, to schedule repairs. After repeated follow-ups and delays, a technician from ATS Electronics finally arrived on November 11. The technician performed no diagnostics and simply instructed me to power down the refrigerator for 12 hours--an action that only resulted in the freezer fully defrosting. I was told parts would be ordered and that I would be contacted to schedule a follow-up visit. No further communication occurred. On November 29, I visited the Annapolis store in person to seek assistance. The store manager informed me that Bray & Scraff had changed service providers and that there was nothing he could do to help resolve my ongoing issue. On December 22, the ATS technical arrived disassembled the bottom freezer portion of the refrigerator assuming the blower fan was bad which it wasn't and stated the problem is beyond his capabilities. Contact Centricity once again on that day, told they needed a report from ATS Electronics before proceeding on a resolution supposedly no later than December 31. This experience reflects a complete failure of the Product Protection Plan I paid for. A warranty that provides no timely service, no accountability, and no support when an appliance fails is effectively worthless. Bray & Scraff has taken payment for protection while offering none in practice. read more

Won't be going to Bray & Scarf ever again. Our Kitchen Aid ice maker died, and unfortunately they are about the only manufacturer to make an 18" wide in-counter appliance to fit in our space in the kitchen. I bought the last one at B&S without much problem and went back and ordered the exact same one, now six years later (they don't last too long). I brought my paperwork from the last one and the sales person assured me they are the same and they'll fit right into the space - which seemed very logical when you look at the specs sheet. It took about 6 weeks for the order to come in and the B&S delivery guy came into the house first and measured the opening and said he wasn't sure if it would fit. I was puzzled and indicated so since the dimensions were the same. He said he'd be happy to try and see if it fits, but that if he took it out of the box I would not be allowed to return the ice maker if it didn't fit. After my jaw returned from dropping I explained that how I wouldn't want a $2,700 item that didn't work. I called the B&S sales person, who was also the sales manager and she was incredulous, but after she made calls she said, "sorry, that's our policy". So I refused delivery and got a refund. Went to Applianceland in Annapolis ordered the same thing (same exact price for ice maker but about $70 less in extra fees), waited several weeks for it to arrive. Delivery guys came, unboxed it, hooked it up and slid it into the perfectly sized space in our cabinet. Simple. WTF Bray & Scarf? I'll never be back. read more

I called Bray & Scarf before Thanksgiving and told them my dishwasher was not working. They could not come until beginning of December which was fine. I knew they would be busy. When he did come he said the spray arm needed to be replaced. When that was replaced it did not work. He stated it must be the pump. Since then there has been no repair. It is goinf going on two months. They say they have to decide to fix or replace. How long does that take? Please never get the service contract. Still waiting. read more

Two appliances delivered, very expensive. However, the delivery was the most uncomfortable, if not downright scary, experience I have ever had with workers in our home. I won't even get into the video clips caught on our security camera. I had 911 pulled up on my phone the entire time. When I called to complain with details, I was NOT directed to the right person, and then was told "the delivery men needed to give them their side of this story". And then NOTHING. My beautiful GE Profile slate colored double oven range was in a mishap. Think demon Egyptian Mau jumping above the tall kitchen wall cabinets and knocking down heavy collector glass onto the glass cooktop! Yeah-the cat survived unscathed but..... I discovered ordering a new glass cooktop would take 3-4 weeks and cost around 900 just for the part not including labor. I then decided to purchase a new range but I couldn't find the appliance during my pursuit. However, Bray and Scarff advertised they had exactly what I was looking for. Thus, after I placed the order online with Bray and Scarff-spending almost 1700.00, I received an email telling me the product was not available and the store was now closed for the evening. So, I started looking at their website and found the appliance I wanted as a display model at their Bowie location. So I sent an email to Bray and Scarff requesting to purchase the display model which listed a price and availability. Note: it was cheaper than the new one I ordered. Today I received a message that store models are not sellable and I will receive a refund. The tone was "we don't sell store model and it basically was my own fault that I purchased a model not available-That the "website clearly states to contact the store for a delivery date.""*And the website doesn't allow ordering until the purchase is made." Basically, it's my fault I didn't call the store to make sure the advertised item on their website was still available. Since when are consumers treated like businesses are doing us a favor by allowing us to shop there? Smh I'm not happy with this retailer and will never do business with them again. Also, I will notify my CC company of the same. And, I am sure the CFPB would approve of a business falsely advertising a product not available but still making the customer pay because they didn't read a clearly stated policy? Bought dishwasher in February 2024. Installed by BS "professionals" two weeks later. Worked okay for a few months and they I kept getting FTD errors. Called the service dept and a week later they came out and looked at it and replaced the drain line. Still FTD! Then they came out again and looked at it and said it needed a new pump. Came out a 3rd time and installed the new pump. Still FTD the first time I tried to run a full cycle. BS then referred me to GE. GE came out and disconnected the drain line (which is 3/4 or 1") from the 1/4 "Y" fitting that goes to a sink vent and the sink drain. It worked fine then. They said the original installation was improper as the larger drain line should have never been plumbed to the much smaller "Y" fitting. So over 6 weeks later, being unable to use my dishwasher and having to miss work SEVERAL times, I find out it was not installed correctly, according to GE. I called the installation department at BS and told them what GE said. They said they would call me the next day and schedule an appointment. I called back at the end of the next day and they said they would call me the next day to schedule the re-installation. No call again. I called again this morning and finally was told that they would come out and fix the "air gap issue" on Tuesday. "Air gap issue" ??? No! Jerome told me the last note he has is from the service department and that it was air-gap issue, not an install issue and that I would have to pay $50 for a tech to come out and potentially more to fix the issue. WHAT? I have missed over 12 hours of work with all of these service appointments, it is under warranty, and GE told me it was incorrectly installed. Instead of charging me $50+, you should be writing me an apology and giving me store credit for all my trouble. Terrible!!! This is extremely disappointing to say the least. I bought from BS hoping to avoid these issues, which I more expected at Lowes or Home Depot. I called back and found out the service order still says fix the air-gap, AFTER I told them what GE said! Each time I've had an issue with an appliance that requires repair, it's never a timely turnaround for a fix. Each time my appliance has been broken for over a month. I usually use Appliance Land in Annapolis for all of my appliances, but my wife commented that we'd never checked out Bray & Scarf so when our fridge died last week we decided to give them a try. We prefer black appliances but no one had a black fridge in our size that wasn't at least a month delay. Who can live without a fridge for a month? So we decided to buy all new kitchen appliances in stainless steel. We made it clear to Tom at B&S of Annapolis that the fridge was our number one priority and that availability was very important to us. He told us that we could have it delivered on Saturday (it was Thursday). So we dealt with his lame high pressure techniques to try to upsell us on the microwave, range, and dishwasher. He couldn't explain to us what we got with the upgraded models other than what was on the tag. So after 90 min we picked out all four appliances. To his dismay, we didn't pick all upgraded models. All but the microwave were in stock and would be delivered "on Saturday" And the microwave might come in on Friday to be delivered on Saturday. Saturday arrives - they have this great tracking app - we're the first delivery and a dude shows up with a microwave..only. Apparently the other 3 appliances are on back order. I told the guy to take the microwave back. Went to Bray & Scarf, Tom said "we got a new computer system". Every customer service snafu ever has been blamed on a new com system. We had many issues with our new dishwasher including initial install was done wrong and the new dishwasher also had a pump issue so we had to get a new one (factory issue not store problem). Despite the issues with getting it replaced I am giving them a good rating because of Kevin B. He helped with the broken dishwasher and pinpointed the issue and came to install the new one. If there is a minus star I would give it to Bray & Scarff. We are having a miserable problem with our GE Monogram Stove and now ventilation hood that we purchased from Bray and Scarff. In the three years of owning the stove we have had to replace: - Oven Burner - Oven Igniter - Two Burners on the top of the stove. Now this is not an inexpensive stove. We had a Viking Stove for 20 years and the only part replaced were the knobs that wore the letters out. This product has been very inconsistent and was told by Bray and Scarff a technician would come out and spend 3 to 4 hours to go over the stove to write up a report to send to GE. Well, the technician that was promised to come out did not come out and a technician just came out and replaced the second part in the oven when the original part ordered by Bray & Scarff was not the correct part. There was no follow up or report written by Bray & Scarff to GE. We were told the insurance company that writes the maintenance policy for the stove rejected our request to replace the stove. There was no effort done on Bray & Scarff's part to write an email message and generate this report to GE. Instead, we are given a statement there was no additional support from Bray & Scarff and this maintenance company would not replace the stove. The other bad issue we are facing is the fan motor on our expensive hood and the fan is inoperable. The noise is so bad coming out of the fan that we cannot use it while cooking on the stove. Again this was supposed to be a high-quality fan but it turned out to be a piece of junk. In our opinion the support has been inadequate and their sales team is selling an inferior product from GE Monogram. read more

After 6 months of attempts to have our washing machine properly serviced, not once did anyone at their customer Service office express even the simplest offers of empathy for the inconvenience, we experienced. Rather, when we complained about the constant delays we were told "you need to read the terms and conditions" of their service agreements. At Bray & Scarff, internal policies, and procedures are far more important than satisfying a customer. We will never acquire any product or service from Bray & Scarff. I had previously bought my original Fisher & Paykel dishwasher from Bray & Scarff in Annapolis. The salesman (Christian) said the cabinet fronts from my original model would fit the new replacement mode. After many months with full payment made at time of order, they finally installed the dishwasher. Incorrectly. The cabinet fronts don't fit and the dishwasher never worked correctly. We were replacing our broken oven. After briefly describing our current oven, we were recommended a somewhat different model from what we had. One attractive feature was that they had this model in stock and we were going to get it in time for Christmas. But on the delivery day, it became evident that the model sold to us wasn't going to fit with our kitchen at all -- it was going to require additional work from both an electrician and gas work. The salesperson didn't mention or plan any of this with us. After a great deal of confusion, and waste of everyone's time, the oven had to be sent back to the warehouse. Next, our salesperson convinced us to go with another (more expensive) model that should be more similar to our kitchen 's configuration. This time he purported was going to be more careful and schedule an appointment for measurements and preparations before delivering the unit for installation. The prep date is scheduled for New Year's eve. But, today, the day before they are supposed to come to do the prep, they called to say that their paperwork had us down for delivery tomorrow. Since they cannot deliver until they've prepped, we're obviously not getting our oven tomorrow; but they wont even send anyone out to do the prep now until January 8th (asp who know when will we ever get the actual install completed), even though it was their mistake. So by this point they've twice ruined our holiday plans. From no new oven for Christmas to no new oven for the New Year, which has been disappointing. However, more seriously, these obstacles are both times errors introduced by our salesperson, who is supposed to be the Assistant Manager of this shop. If zero star ratings were available, that would be the score for Bray & Scarf Annapolis. We bought a high end built-in refrigerator and chiller from Tom at the Annapolis store. What appeared to be an easy purchase was a nightmare from beginning to now nearly finished and filled with incompetence, indifference and delays multiple times. The icing on the disappointment cake was the ticky-tack add-ons at several turns, but we don't want that to be the focus of the review. The true disappointment was the incredibly indifferent tone and attitude from Tom and the Store Manager. When things went wrong with availability, delivery, additional charges and "accidental" order cancellation, we felt like their employee calling Tom to follow up and figure out what to do next. It was the only way we could get to the end of the nightmare. Disappointment is an understatement to our experience. This is the first time we've ever posted a negative review for any purchase, and I'm sensitive to it because I deal with retail customers as well, but Bray & Scarf needs to know their team in Annapolis not only missed the boat on customer service, they just don't care. read more

Updating my review because the purchase and installation process through this location really is excellent. We had an issue with our range when it stopped working and had a rather arduous experience trying to work with the service department trying to get it repaired through the warranty. After 45 days of no oven or stovetop (thank heavens I'm nursing and don't need to boil bottles), they took the broken unit and replaced it with the floor model from the store. I don't know if the issues were solely Covid-related on the manufacturer's end, or what, but the bottom line is that we now DO have a working range and for that we are grateful. More transparency and follow-through on returning calls are *definitely* needed, especially from the service department. Buyer beware--purchase and install are great, but don't bother with their warranty. Just go with the manufacturer's policy, especially during Covid. read more

They gave me a four hour delivery window: between 1 and 5pm. At 4:45pm I got a call from the installation person. He was in Crownsville (about 20 minutes away). He said he could be here at 6:30pm! I was planning on having friends over for dinner. I figured that worst case scenario, they would have the dishwasher installed by 5:30pm, which would give me enough time. Just terrible. We bought $3K+ refrig 16 months ago and--- after taking a week to deliver, we noticed one shelf broken-- took 2 months+ to replace- many unanswered emails. Also noticed they added extended service plan on invoice without asking us- several $100 for refrig and washer/dryer-- had to call to have it removed. Then, amazingly, we just now lost all cooling on this almost new unit and asked for help. They sent us to GE since we didn't buy the extended warrantee. Then GE says it will be weeks before they will service- again asked for help and store showed us the GE website and said if we had bought the extra $600 warrantee they would take care of everything themselves. Meanwhile we have a kitchen full of spoiled food, a washer that has to have load rebalanced every other time, and we are out $5K for this fancy store's products. We have purchased several appliances from Bray & Scarff over the years and have been pleased with them. We bought a GE washing machine with an extended service contract in Sept 2020. A few months ago we noticed a small leak that formed a puddle in the drawer below. A repairman came out on Dec 15, 2022 and said he needed a part. I was still able to use the machine but had to mop the puddle after each use. On Jan 16, 2023 he came out and declared the machine "fixed." I immediately started a load of wash and noticed that it was leaking worse than it was before. We immediately contacted B&S and were told the repairman was enroute to the next call and we would need to reschedule. The same repairman came out on Jan 24, 2023 and again said that the machine was "fixed." At this point, water was spilling out on the floor and we had to scoop out the water out of the drawer. He came out with another tech on Jan 26, 2023 and said he needed to order a part which would take about a week. His repairs have rendered the machine unusable and I haven't been able to do wash since that day. We have contacted B&Sand the contract company (Epic/Centricity) numerous times to find out when we can expect the part. They say it takes up to 3 days to trace it and they'll get back to us. We have repeatedly called and we don't get a response. Finally, they told us this week (2/7/23) that they expect the part to arrive 4/7/23 - 2 months away!! I haven't been able to do laundry for a month and piles 5' high are stacked ready to be washed. They won't honor the lemon guarantee and have shown absolutely no concern that we don't have use of a washing machine. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. Cliff and two other men installed our Sub-Zero fridge. All three were awesome. They were super careful to avoid scratching the wood floor. Getting the old fridge out and the new one in was no easy job due to the steps outside plus the ones inside leading to the kitchen. The three installers were unbelievable in the way they managed to move these big fridges without any mishaps. On top of that, they were pleasant and professional. They bantered back and forth while working. They worked quickly and efficiently. This was by far the most pleasant delivery and installation we have ever had. Kudos to Cliff and the team! After the installation Cliff showed us the general settings and the location of the two filters and when they need to be changed. Great job! read more

Bought a KitchenAid gas range and dishwasher from Bill. It was a pleasant experience. First time using the convection bake, this noise started and never stopped through the entire baking process. It took a week to schedule a technician. Thursday between 2 and 6 with a call 30 minutes prior to arrival. Ok. That's nice. 5:30 and no phone call. I called customer service and after being on hold for 3 minutes, was told the truck had broken down and they would not be able to make the appointment. So the attempt to reschedule went like this... We have an appointment next Wednesday. I said how about tomorrow? Shouldn't I be first on the list. The customer service rep said no, he is working out of state tomorrow. Do they only have one service technician? Hmmm. I will follow up with the ending. Hopefully that is successful. Update. So on June 22nd, after a few attempts, my problem was fixed. Bought a Sub Zero refrigerator from Antonio Simpson in Annapolis store. Big purchase with not big expectations of service. But was so pleasantly surprised at the service I got from Antonio, who called back to tell me what was going to happen next, Patrick who came out to measure first and to make sure how to get it in my house and the people who installed it with such expertise, I could not believe it! I'm in sales and it is hard to impress me, but can't wait to tell others what a pleasant experience it was to work with the store and the quality service I received. We purchased all new GE Profile kitchen appliances in 2016 and the purchase was seamless. However, the reason for the one star is their service department. We purchased the extended warranty at the time of purchase. Our dishwashers control panel broke on January 4, 2018 and we called B&S' service department. The first available appointment was 6 business days away...ok, that's fine. Fast forward to the day B&S arrived, the technician was only in our home for 5 minutes. He diagnosed the problem and then promptly told us that he would have to order the part and that it would take 5-7 business days to get to their warehouse. When the part arrived, B&S called us to schedule an appointment for it to be installed. Again, it was ANOTHER 7 business days before they could come out to install it. Fast forward again to our appointment day on February 5. B&S called my husband that morning and told us that the technician assigned to our area called out sick and that they would have to cancel the appointment. My husband, giving B&S the benefit of the doubt, asked the representative if we would get priority over other appointments since our appointment had to be rescheduled on their accord. The representative told him no, and that the next available appointment was...yep, you guessed it... 7 business days out. At this point, we are flabbergasted at the lack of customer service this company shows paying customers. Our next appointment is on February 15th, well over a month since the actual problem started. On a side note, we purchased our washer and dryer from Lowes about 2 years ago and we purchased the extended 5 year warranty. Our dryer recently started making a noise and we called Lowes customer service to schedule an appointment. Lowes had a technician out to our home the next day, the technician ordered the part (rush), the part arrived two business days later, and we were able to schedule to have the part installed the next business day. All in all, from the time we called Lowes, which was a Monday, they had our dryer fixed and working again by Friday. Now THAT, is excellent customer service! FUTURE CUSTOMERS BE WARNED! IF YOU PURCHASE AN EXTENDED WARRANTY FROM B&S YOU WILL BE AT THEIR MERCY IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG! We will never purchase another appliance from B&S because of this humongous flaw. read more
