Came here and was blown away by the smart refrigerators (with 'bento box/origami' Esqe- Sanrio double sided pencil case like compartments;) some, with interactive 'computers' that allow you to create list, leave memos, reorder groceries--on the actual door! Others, allow you to look & turn on a nightlight by knocking; the high end options tell you what's about to expire, who has the best deal on select items on your List etc. I'm in awe. When's the last time your fridge gave you life aside from Netflix and chill? Individual temp controlled compartment options etc. This is game changing! How can you even look at your fridge the same? Additionally, since this is a Home Depot review vs consumer report blurb; Kim in paints was so incredibly helpful to me while color matching, she took great care to offer exemplary service; I can't thank her enough for going the extra mile! I will most certainly look for her, when in Home Depot as she was so knowledgeable and eager to assist with a smile.

John Schaller in home & garden was very helpful. He was straightening out products on the shelves when I asked him a question. Then he offered to walk with me as he directed me to where I could locate the laundry room sinks - which I'm glad he took the time to do since I wouldn't have never found them because this store is huge! The store is pretty clean & neat thanks to their employees like John who take the time to make the items presentable. The displays of the varieties & prices of things are pleasingly noticeable. The sale items are great. Thank you for a good shopping experience and I will be back. Oh well, I just heard he has since resigned. I hope the store can hire more people like him. It helps to have good, hard workers.

Beautiful Garden with so many pumpkins and some scary treats for Halloween!…read moreWe went here since i saw a post about them in Instagram. It said they have wonderful products and also they have a free scary trail. We were very impressed how dedicated they were on decorating the whole trail, they were pulling in so many people. Mostly families with children. The kids loved it, you can tell how excited they were. My son was a fan even though he is 16. He liked it a lot. They also have a variety of products that you can buy, i got some popcorn and seasonings for tthe kitchen. They also have beeswax hand lotion, candles, teas, fruits, honey, jam, loaves of bread, bagels, cinnamon rolls (which was sold out) and many more. They have plenty of selections that you can buy and of course you can also buy their beautiful pumpkins. They have a lot of choices to choose from. We had a great time. You can also put a donation for the trail that they have made. They have a box infront of their store. You can easily see before entering the store. The service was very nice. The staff was accommodating and friendly.

This place is quite a surprise since it looks like an unassuming nursery from the roadside,…read morecarrying your typical items like flowers, shrubs, trees and stone. But in order to find the treasure, you need to walk into the covered area, where they store the local produce. My only complaint is the pricing. A bit steep, but if you want to support the local farms and enjoy some of the freshest tasting fruit and vegetables than ignore the register as it rings up your purchase. The corn is not displayed but you just have to ask and they will immediately bring you some ears. This stuff is what summers are made of - incredibly sweet and crisp kernels - the perfect pairing for your BBQ chicken or ribs. The local strawberries are intensely aromatic with a deep, rich, red hue throughout. You don't. even need a dusting of sugar for these jewels. It really puts those California behemoths you encounter in your local grocery chains to shame -all big and buff with not even an essence of berry flavor. Riva gardens also carries a variety of tomatoes, including heirlooms. Other finds include melons, cukes, peaches, potatoes, spring onions, etc., etc. They carry a huge line of jams and sauces, and even offer locally made cheese. The mozzarella and pepper jack are flavorful and reasonably priced. As if the proprietor Donna doesn't have enough on her hands, the last time I was there, she had cake samples next to the register. I tried the orange cream, and was blown away. Slices were available for purchase, but my hands were full. Next time I said. Well the weight gods must have been watching out over me, as when I came in again to get a slice, they were all sold out. Boo for the taste buds, yeah for the waistline. No matter, I will be back.

So, temper my review with this in mind. ;) That being said, I have zero complaints about this location. Other than... it simply doesn't have the same footprint they have out in D-ville. It feels cramped inside, and there isn't a lot of room for a cart or moving around too much. Still, they have a ton of gardening and decorating products, especially around Christmastime! We were actually here to see Santa, since we couldn't book him at the other location. But, I'm glad we checked it out. They have a Rise Up coffee shop attached too, which was convenient. Made for a nice little treat after shopping. I really don't have a lot else to say. It's still hit-or-miss as far as value is concerned. Some items seem vastly overpriced, and others are more reasonable. You'll pay more for seasonal items, of course, but check back after said season is over (or close to its end), and you can find some very good bargains. The customer service is on par as well. Very friendly staff who are helpful and approachable. Never had an issue with service at Homestead! Overall, great garden shop in Severna Park, and were it closer, I'd be a regular here instead. I love their holiday train setup in the back as well! (Though, again, Davidsonville has a LOT more space for a MUCH bigger display... but it's the effort that matters, and both deserve the highest marks!)

Bottom Line: A fantastic store with quality bird feeder products, lovely garden things and…read moredelightful staff. I really thought that the Wild Bird Center was a place where old people shopped so they could get some bird seed to attract company on slow days. I say that jokingly because my parents are long time customers of the Wild Bird Center and they have a plethora of bird feeders and often discuss the flock of native birds that visit them. Have you ever seen that Geico commercial where the old lady is telling her son over the phone about the squirrels in the attic while he's being chased by bad guys on a skyscraper rooftop? Yeah, its kinda like that with my parents telling me about their birds at the most importune time. Anyway, I've digressed, significantly. In search of some bird feeder related items for my parents I visited the Wild Bird Center in Park Plaza for the first time in December. I am so sorry I didn't visit sooner. This store is fantastic! As the name implies, they have plenty of quality bird feeders and a variety of bird seed that is appropriate for the local birds. I was in search of seed for my parents' Squirrel Buster bird feeder that would attract little cute birds and not make a mess. The staff was able to immediately point me to the best seed for that scenario. With my errand complete, I then enjoyed looking around the store at garden decor, hand painted ornaments, wind chimes, books, and such, I think I might even have seen some bees wax products. As far as the staff goes, they are delightful and helpful! I really enjoyed their welcoming and positive spirit and all of my interactions with them. I look forward to returning to the Wild Bird Center to do some more shopping.
