Two young and knowledgeable techs showed up on time to fix the dishwasher. Which of course was no longer malfunctioning. They determined that water had leaked and gotten a sensor wet, checked all the connections, ran a partial cycle, and repositioned the unit slightly to help prevent any future leaking. They then routed the drain line more efficiently and even corrected a small water filter leak they noticed while putting items back under the sink. We will definitely use Appliance Guys again if needed. read more

They came within a couple days they set up a timeframe and they called the day before to make sure I was still on schedule and they called 15 minutes before they arrived. Our 17 year old Refrigerator's Ice Maker quit working 3 weeks ago. After a few days, I thought I'd change the water filter anyway since it had been 2-3 years since I changed it last time. However, the ice maker remained inop until 4-5 days ago. I figured the failure, then the return to normal ice making operation was due to an intermittent problem, possibly a board behaving badly. I decided to call The Appliance Guys for help. Chuck, from the Appliance Guys visited today and checked out the system. Since it was in the process of making ice, everything was ok. Chuck explained that leaving a water filter unchanged for 2-3 years could likely have caused the ice maker to quit working. He also felt that it took about 2 weeks for the water line to clear itself and allow the ice maker to work correctly. I paid the service call fee which can be applied to any future ice maker problem in the next 6 months. I felt Chuck provided great service today and I recommend the Appliance Guys for others needing appliance help. read more

We're from out of town refitting a yacht and I can't praise these guys enough. From the office manager answering the phone setting up appointments to the field technicians this company is top notch. Our technician was Dave, showed up on time identified the issue ordered the parts and was done inside an hour. Fast forward two weeks and again on time (even on Saturday) and had the parts installed faster than I offer him a cup of coffee. Now this is what we as a customer expect but what's next is where they go above and beyond. Part of our issue extended beyond the boundaries of the appliance so it's not their issue at this point. Very pleased. Prompt and kept both appointments as set. Reasonably priced. Hopefully, the repair to a four year old refrigerator will After 4 months the repaired part failed. The new part that was installed started making noise and the unit wouldn't stay cold. I called for service and was told the warranty was 90 days. There would be fees to return. I was very pleased with the initial service but won't recommend a company that will only back it's work for 90 days. I realize the company has to draw the line somewhere. Our tech was scheduled to arrive between 8am and 12pm and he called about 15mins before 8am and said he would be there in 10-15mins he was here promptly and was kind and courteous and went out of his way to explain exactly what was wrong with our washer and was very honest about it not being cost efficient to try and repair it! I had an issue with my refrigerator and Steve came to diagnose it. He was very professional, knowledgeable and experienced . We had an amazing repair woman, Jamie, from Appliance Guys come out to fix our dryer. She was prompt, professional, quickly diagnosed the issue, talked me through the various options without any pressure tactics, and was back within a day or two to finish up the work. I live near H-Town so the local appliance guy came by- he was late by an hour to look at my dishwasher. Diagnosed the problem but never contacted me with the diagnosis or estimate. I called him three days later and his price was high enough for me to buy a new dishwasher. I took the dishwasher apart myself and was able to detach and reattach the same part and fix it myself. So half of his diagnosis was correct but I have to wonder what exactly he did to try to repair it as he is the SME. read more

Steve came out and put my washer & dryer in a stacked configuration, and explained to me about a possible venting problem I could have if I am not cleaning out my vent frequently. He also knew how to fix that problem, but it involves opening up walls and I'm going to avoid that for now. He showed me how to clean my front-loading washer after noting that it needed it (I had no idea I had to clean the holes in the big rubber gasket, and this unit has been serviced by Sears twice with no mention of that). Steve was a thorough professional, knew his stuff, and got the job done quickly even though he had to lift a very big dryer into place. He had me test it before he left, too. I should have done this review sooner since I forgot the name of the person who serviced my Kitchen Aid dishwasher, but he was friendly and got the job done in record time. The electric panel had stopped responding, and apparently all it needed was to be taken apart and given a thorough cleaning. He also gave me some advice about the earth-friendly, non-toxic dishwashing liquid I'd been using. My dishwasher stopped working, and would be costly to replace. I called several appliance repair services, and was impressed with the customer service person. Although I had to wait several days for my appointment, it was worth the wait. After taking the time to go over the dishwasher, Dave looked inside the coupler and said, "now it should work". He dislodged a tiny acorn, and the dishwasher works again!! I don't know how the acorn got lodged inside the coupler, but Dave saved me hundreds of dollars on replacement parts by figuring out the problem before replacing the hoses.
