Ok ok so as recommended by Al and notifed by him Southern cal Edison came out to my house to fix our flickering lights problem. This is the electric company mind you. He went up on the pole and checked things out went into the electric panel said here's the problem a loose screw. Tighten it and left. 15 mins later lights flickering again. Called Al let him know Edison got their shot now I need someone who knows electrical stuff. He Found the problem fixed it tested it !! Nuff said. I had 3 outlets go dead in the garage - nothing wrong with the breakers so appeared to be a wiring issue. Jessie from Bravi came out and did a great job finding & fixing the problem. Unfortunately, the prior homeowner had drywall paneled the walls of the garage and had hidden & "Mickey-Moused" a couple of important connections behind the wall. Jessie had to hunt & find these connections, cut open the wall, fix & properly box the wires & installed a wall plate so that they would be accessible in the future. He also replaced an outlet in the garage near the washing machine water supply/drain that needed to be GFI. All this was done cleanly & efficiently and for a price that was less than I expected. Al and his crew from Bravi Electric are fantastic. Al always answers his phone, and arrived on time to give a quote. We were getting six new recessed lights and a ceiling fan installed. He walked us through the different ways we could place the lights, switches and options. His quote was half as much as another highly reviewed electrician here on Yelp, so we went with Al. On the day of the job, Al showed up on time, and his crew went right to work, but even took the time to play with our dog, who demands attention before quieting down. Two of our existing light switches were expanded from single, to double gang boxes to accommodate the new lights. During clean up (they bring their own vacuum!) Al patched an existing crack in the drywall, and added a 3-way switch to an existing light because he said "we needed it, and it was on the house!" I'm one happy woman! I'm a single mom that occasionally has to fix things in our home. It's hard for me to trust someone will not take advantage of me. Al is trustworthy and very thorough. Al and his team were absolutely AWESOME!!! We are doing an entire renovation of our kitchen and bathroom. Al was very reasonable with costs and scheduling. They arrived exactly on time, worked for a full two days with the entire electrical rough-in and did an exceptional job. For example, we wanted recessed lighting in our kitchen. Al discovered that there was radiant heating in our kitchen. Al gently and meticulously worked around the heating coil to allow for the recessed lighting. It demonstrated incredible workmanship and tenacity to deliver what we hoped for. I would think any other electrician would not have gone to that effort. i think they are nice people but i paid $130 for a follow up inspection after we bought a house. i just want to make sure that the inspector didn't miss anything and our repair guy fixed whatever needs fixing. the guy came and looked like he doesn't know what & where to start. so i guided him what needed to be checked (per my home inspection report which they also have) we went through that. and that's it. i asked for the inspection so we can rest assured that everything is good. nothing was missed but he didn't inspect everything. he just go through what i asked him to inspect. i called Al and told him and he said when they come here & do repair and if they find what needs to be done, they'll tell me. i wish i just did that. $130 for that kind of inspection was a waste of time & money. right now, i'm still waiting for their call back. they were supposed to give me a quote 3 wks ago for the repairs that need to be done. i guess they're uber busy. read more
