Great food, great service! The food was even wonderful heated up later as a leftover meal

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in on a Friday night -- and we're so glad we did. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, the staff was incredibly friendly, and the custom drinks were fantastic. I had the burger and we also tried the Thai noodle salad, and both were fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. We loved it so much that we came back the next night. The owner greeted us again and personally got us seated, which made the experience feel even more special. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and we shared the sun-dried tomato Tuscan chicken pasta -- both were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. The owner even surprised us with a complimentary steak bites appetizer that was incredibly tender and seasoned perfectly. Amazing food, outstanding service, and such a warm atmosphere both nights. I checked online before arriving, and I asked to sit on the patio outside with my very sweet dog as they could tell and when I got there, they told me she could not sit on the patio. Of course people lie about having service animals, and I could have, but I was honest and turned away for "insurance purposes if my dog bit someone". read more

I have only just discovered this place and have visited twice one week apart. The service was very good both times but the food was not the same at all. Visit number one the hamburger was ordered and the shrimp scampi. The hamburger was just a touch above ordinary but the scampi was fantastic. On the second visit, I wanted to try the Nachos with chicken as my entree even though they are under the Appetizer section on the menu. They come with lots of Jalapenos and fresh cilantro and olives but the cheese, instead of being a liquid, was like a flavored queso cream cheese (five years in West Texas). Would have been perfect otherwise. My companion ordered the Huckleberry Pulled Pork sandwich. It would have been better but was too sweet. I know that it is a matter of taste and the food is not of the "Fast Food" genre that is everywhere. I am not sure if I will try it again but I would love to have a talk with the chefs about those Nachos. They would have been perfect. It's not a soft eating atmosphere but rather cold. And the restroom is up a fight of spiral stairs which can be challenging for some folks. read more

Have stopped here several times while traveling through Lewiston. The food and service has always been excellent. The BLT and Tuscan chicken pasta were two items that stood out, but it appears that you can't go wrong with their menu. During one visit, my 6 yr old daughter left her "purse" there prior to driving 2 hours home. The restaurant graciously offered to mail it back to us, which was very much appreciated. For a $100 bill for 2, NOT worth it. We split the special of the night: $48 for a T bone Ribeye with creamy mushroom sauce, brussel sprouts, salad & 4 scallops. Our food was served lukewarm so it was cold before we were a quarter of the way through. Taste was bland in mashed potatoes. There was no salt or pepper on the table. Brussel sprouts & mushroom sauce were okay. Steak was good! Though my husband did made the remark that they must have spilt the salt shaker on the steak since the rest of the plate had no flavor. Scallops & the salad were delicious! The best thing we had. The waitress was telling us of a wine bottle that was on sale. From $30 a bottle to $12. She said it was a moscato that came in a few flavors. We chose blueberry and I explained that we met at a wedding at a vineyard & shared blueberry wine together. And we were on a getaway this weekend, so we'd like to indulge in the blueberry wine. As a tribute to our memory/special time! She comes back with this electric blue (like Hypnotic) shimmering/glittery light up bottle of the sweetest grossest bottle of juice. I wouldn't call it wine at all. My husband and I took one sip & were sent back to a backyard college party. It was like beat box. We felt totally misled & she did not inform us that of the bottles unique and bold characteristics. She did not tell us that it was a SUPER sweet moscato. She didn't tell us that it had glitter in it (We don't like to consume that kind of stuff) and she didn't let us know that it would have blue food coloring to the max (called Brilliant Blue). I wish with this bottle in specific she would have said "Let me show you the bottle first, it is on the sweeter side. It's a really fun bottle! It's bright blue with glitter & it lights up!" We would have never purchased it. We wasted our money on it. & she didn't even offer to take it off our bill. We took one sip and we both immediately ordered another glass of white wine & a whiskey. My fav restaurant in town! Their house salad is to die for and I'm not into poppyseed dressing but theirs is insanely delicious. My husband and I got here often! I stopped at Brava's because it looked like the best option for outdoor dining that I could see locally. I was really happy to have such a great experience. The outdoor seating is shady and located on a really pleasant tree lined downtown street. I had the seared ahi with a house salad. The soy dipping sauce was spicy and salty and umami goodness. The ahi was sesame coated and seared to perfection. The house poppy seed dressing was tangy and tart and perfect for a hot summer night. I washed it all down with a their version of a bourbon sour called "a knight to remember". It was honestly a little sweet for my taste but that can be remedied for next time. Maybe half the honey simple syrup. I would highly recommend this place. My 2nd favorite dining experience in the local area. read more

This place is awesome! It hits all the best qualifications. Food, service, beer and wine menu , and ambiance. Nice street-side patio. I have eaten here many times. If you can't decide, trust the Chef's choice. They have amazing burgers. I usually do not like a burger cooked beyond medium rare. Idaho has some rules about that. Worry not at Brava. Based on the ratings in Yelp, my daughters and I decided to try this place out for dinner. We arrived before 6 pm and were told that appetizers were half off. We originally wanted the hummus appetizer but were told they were out. So we decided on the Not-Your-Normal-Nachos, full order. We were surprised at how big the order ended up being and they were delicious! Not sure how they got the cheese sauce mixed in all throughout but it was (not just poured over the top) and they were tasty. Then for our main entrees, we ordered burgers (vegetarian and a cheeseburger that is pictured) with garlic ranch fries (those were even good later eaten cold!) and the Mac and cheese. The fries were good, but the cheeseburger was just average and the popper burgers that my husband and I ordered were disappointing. A group of us ate lunch at Brava's last week. The staff were great, and nearly everyone enjoyed their food. I was the unfortunate one who made the bad choice. My advice: Do not order the Whiskey Burger. I thought it sounded good, and it looked great when it arrived, but the whiskey caramel sauce was too much. Too sweet, and way too messy to eat. Delicious!!!! The fried avocado was everything and then some!!! The service was great. I only have one complaint. A server clearly knew the man at the end of the bar. She continued to come and check on him like he was VIP. Each time she came over she would look me and the other guy at the bar up and down. The other guy even commented that she didn't like us. We came to Brava's as a second choice for an early dinner. I was craving steak and veggies. I ordered the ribeye and veggies, rare. The waiter asked me to cut into it when she brought it out to make sure it was cooked right-this was awesome and I have never had that experience in a restaurant, excellent customer service. My family has come here for years. In the past I rated it 4 to 5. Bad experience tonight. Trinity, our waitress, was mediocre and didn't seem to want to be there. I ordered a whiskey burger and she didn't even ask how I wanted it done, nor could she tell me the size. When our food arrived after 30 plus minutes when there were only a couple tables occupied I asked why it was so long. Although it was not her fault she didn't even say sorry it took so long....attitude of too bad so sad. The french fries were cold and I asked to get some fresh ones. It was as if I asked for her firstborn son, no apologies again. . She came back with a plate for me to scoop the old Fries onto it so she could return them. Not that I wanted to eat them but it seemed like she thought that I wanted to have them both old and new. She did bring me out a nice plate of hot fresh fries which were good so they did correct it. The burger was overdone but I didn't want to cause more problems by returning it also. Lastly, they have a new menu out and have replaced the old menu. They've added a few new things and left a few of the old ones off which is expected. But I didn't expect a 40% increase in prices. That same burger I got for $17 which was not cooked well with so so Fries used to be $12. I don't think I will be returning to Brava's considering the large increase in cost and the decrease in quality and service. read more

Great atmosphere, warm and inviting but still urban. The menu is overwhelming for the simple fact that EVERYTHING looks so good. The urban sleek feel is fun, and the variety of music is great. Serves beer and wine as well as coffee, which is a neat choice for all day visits. We specifically asked which sandwiches were warm and got cold sandwiches but that wasn't a deal breaker. The waitress mixed up one of the meals because she didn't write down the order, we didn't notice until after the meal but it was still super good. The fall harvest salad was the best salad I have ever had, so good! But be warned when they say chips they mean a bag of ruffles. (Severely disappointing I was thinking house-made chips) It really messes with the presentation of the restaurant. read more
