Overall, this place was pretty groovy. The unsweetened tea was pretty bland no matter how much Splenda packets I fruitlessly added to it, but it was relentlessly replenish by our waitress so I can't complain ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I order the Rueben and my mom ordered the Gobbler. Folks we thought these sandwiches were ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Honestly so delicious, and they came with this rolling list of sides that you could add to your main dish. However, be careful because there is a flat rate for the sandwich, but the prices of the sides vary. My mom got the German potato salad, which was relatively cheap and so tasty, if you don't have a vinegar allergy, you've got to try it. I had loaded Mac and cheese, which was equally tasty with heavenly bacon bits, red onions and jalapeños. But like I said, it wasn't the same price as the potato salad, a tad more expensive. Also the first time the Mac came out, it was cold, like it had been cooked and then left sitting out until my Rueben was ready. Normally I would have brushed it off, but I just couldn't let it go because each bit brought me sorrow and disappointment, so I had to get another much warmer bowl. I probably pissed off the dudes in the back, because my second bowl of noodles was hotter than the fifth layer of hell, as if the cooks were thinking "this will show that girl for catching us in our own mistake and wanting to actually enjoy her food". If you stuck around this long, thanks, and go to this restaurant; it's got phenomenal food, just be wary that on Saturday nights you might hear the occasionally drunken cheers from a twenty-something white man who is way too invested in the common NASCAR race. P. S. My mom told me to include how much she adored the fig jelly that came with her sandwich. It was just how her mom used to make it read more

Consistently good food, sadly also consistently poor service! Ordered burgers that were top notch! Ordered a beer and got the wrong beer. The waitress dropped it off so quickly we couldn't even get her attention. She didn't come back until our food was ready. Then her excuse on wrong beer was both the one we ordered and the one she delivered both have evil sounding names and she gets confused - wow!!! Never came to ask if we needed anything else. Oh and they were not busy. Sadly, we haven't been there in two years bc of previously bad service and the trend continues. read more

Met with a party of seven others tonight at this restaurant. I ordered the Zeppelin burger with cheese, lettuce, and tomato with a side order of onion rings and a pint of beer. The onion rings were fabulous. The beer was also wonderful. But the burger which was one of their signature burgers was not very memorable. The burger was really nothing more than 2 small patties on a bun without much flavoring. I realized afterwards that they forgot the cheese as well. However I will say the price was reasonable. We sat at what they called "the porch". It had large overhead doors that were opened but even with the whole wall being open it was very loud in that area. I would give it another try but this visit did not do much to impress me. The restaurant was very full, so obviously they're doing something right. Perhaps this was just an off night for me. read more

This place is always busy so we went around 2pm on a Saturday, and it was still pretty busy. We got the fried pickles for appetizer, they were really good, except for the ones at the very bottom, they were soaked in grease. They should put some kind of paper at the bottom to absorb the grease so the ones on to bottom are still edible. We got two burgers and fries. I do prefer my burger to be a little more done, but still good. LOVED the crispy fries!! The food came out really quick, but getting drink refills was a little slow. Oh, and their cherry coke is really good, they mix the grenadine syrup in, so it has extra cherry taste! I like that they have the cardboard animals on the walls instead of real dead animal heads. It's a cool place, I'll defiantly be back again! read more

Amazing place for family and friends! Food are so good and worth price! Perfect for hanging out and fellowship there too. Even outside, have cornhole too! read more

I used to frequent Bräuburgers often. I was there when they started in the small venue beside Kroger, and followed when they moved to the larger area, where they are now located. I was pretty bummed when DJ left, as he knew more about beer selection than likely any other bartender in town. The service also suffered with the growth in size. I visited tonight, with just myself and my wife. The naked rotisserie wings are some of the best in town, however, the highlight of the night was actually our server Corey. She went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with our food and drinks. She was led astray with bad information by the bartender, but always followed up, even when they were busy. I've had my ups and downs at this location, but I'll return because of people like her. read more

Excellent burgers! I had the double which absolutely filled me up, great taste along with service

Place is filthy. Staff is surly. Can't be bothered to seat you when there are many empty tables, because their phones are just fascinating. My wife's vegetarian burger was frozen in the middle. Pickles on the side of both our burgers were cut many days ago with black spots on the inside. Tomato on inside of my sandwich was days old. I could almost see through it. It had obviously been in and out of their refrugerator numerous times until I got lucky enough to receive it. Dust and cobwebs everywhere overhead. Dust from the painting on the wall beside me was shedding extra FREE toppings on our food. Charged us $4 each for french fries to go with our nearly inedible $10 burgers. Did I say that the place was filthy? DO NOT GO HERE. read more

Brauburger in Forest, Va. Has Always had excellent food till now (12/04/20). Tonight we went to enjoy a great meal. My wife and I ordered Med-Rare burgers that were as hard as hockey pucks!! My Chedder cheese was burnt and rock hard and it broke off in my fingers. My wife's burger was cooked so hard it was burnt black and smooth on one side! The Bacon was ice cold and the onion rings were soggy and mushy!! I WAS THE WORST FOOD I'VE EVER HAD!! DO NOT EAT AT THIS BRAUBURGER IN FOREST, VA.!! YUK! read more

We just moved here but when we came to look at homes and interview for jobs the Owners of where I work treated me to lunch here and I loved it. The food was incredible, the atmosphere relaxing, and I was able to meet the Owner who was very nice and had on an awesome Cowboy Hat. I would highly recommend this place. read more

Ate here a few months ago, was probably the best burger I have had in a long time! Cheese curds were very fresh and delicious!

Bräuburgers has always delivered exceptional quality and COVID hasn't affected them whatsoever when it comes to killing it! Burgers were perfectly cooked, drinks were cold and the Bier cheese was perfection. Definitely coming back as often as i can! read more

Sad - just a shell of the place it was before Covid - food average, service poor - an obvious lack of management - won't waste time or money here again... Owner will need to intervene if they expect things to return to previous level... read more

The burgers are fantastic. Our waitress was awesome. I was a little turned off when one of the bus persons stepped on my heal when we were being seated, with no apology or acknowledgement. The beers were good, but small and pricey. In some towns I might rate this place higher, but the completion is stiff in Lynchburg, VA. Overall this is a good place to spend the evening eating with friends. They have a good menu and food is well prepared. There is just nothing that makes the stand way above other restaurants in the area. read more

To begin, the hostess gals are less than excited to help you and offer very little in the way of directives, greetings, or concern that you have a preference in seating. Our waitress was lovely, so I was more than happy to forgive and forget the colossal hullabaloo at the entrance. I was excited to see the menu, but was disappointed to see that there were several burgers listed that were almost the exact same, minus the free toppings that you could add. The Veggie Burger was less than desirable, the "ghost pepper jack" cheese (which, given the name should have been spicy) tasted like bland cheddar, the german potato salad was swimming in watery sauce, the coleslaw had ZERO flavor, and the beer was almost room temp! To say the least, I was annoyed. To say it best, I will not be visiting that establishment again. There are far too many other places to get a good burger without the bitter taste of disappointment. read more

Wow! What a let down. Waited 20 mins to get seated in a restaurant that was 1/4 full. Repeatedly ignored by the waitstaff. We asked for a manager but we're informed they don't have one anymore. Got up and left and went to Trio. read more

Place was really cool, it's got a German vib to it. Order 2 apps 1 cheese curd and onion rings was amazing. Definitely get the wings were awesome. I'll sure have to come back when I visit again thanks. read more

I ate here a couple of weeks ago. The prices were a little higher than I expected but the food was excellent. I ordered the wings and would recommend them. My kiddos had some chicken and they did not enjoy it as much as I had hoped. I would still recommend the restaurant. I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. read more

Food was good, and not too bad on the price. The staff was friendly, and we are always appreciative of an outdoor eating area where dogs are welcome. Only reason for 3 stars is that the outdoor dining area was dirty - as in food remnants, straws, and trash on the ground. read more

I've been going here since it opened. There was a time when the food and service were very good, but that was a long time ago. I went tonight, after not going for a while. There was a 30 minute wait, which was fine, they were busy. Once we were seated, a waiter came and took our order for a beer, 2 waters, appetizer and 2 meals. About 40 minutes later, the appetizer shows up, no explanation for the delay. Another 10 minutes the one beer shows up. Still no waters. After about an hour and twenty minutes with no sign of our food, water, or waiter, I go to the front to ask for my check for the beer and appetizer, and to cancel the rest. The girl apologizes and 5 minutes later comes with my check, but informs me the food has just arrived at the table if I want it. I ask if I can also get the waters and a beer to drink with my food. "Absolutely, I'll have it right out." I go back and sit down. Fries are cold. Hamburger is good. Cole slaws are missing. There is one water on the table. Still no sign of the other water or beer. No sign of the waiter. We share the one water as we eat our food. Finished. Still no waiter, no other water or beer or cole slaw. Finally have to ask the girl from the front for our check. After I pay, our waiter passes buy, looks back and says "is everything Ok sir". I go through the whole story with him. He explains he has nine other tables. I'm not in the restaurant business, but it is apparent that they are severely understaffed and the owners and/or managers lack the leadership and integrity to manage the situation. Maybe they can't find people to hire, but there are other ways they could handle it. They could just seat the number of customers that they can serve well, rather than seat everyone that walks in the door and server them extremely poorly. They could notify everyone that comes in that they are understaffed, and they might not see a waiter for over an hour, the order might be wrong, etc. and let the customers decide for themselves if they still want to eat there. There are lots of ways they could have done better, but the bottom line is the lack of integrity and leadership from the top. Hopefully it changes and again becomes as good as it used to be. read more

Pulled in to a relatively empty parking lot and walked in thinking this was great. The restaurant was about half full and we were told there would be 20 - 30 minute wait because the kitchen was busy! Go figure, restaurants are struggling to keep their doors open and you're turning away business. Doubtful that we'll ever go back read more

Perfect spot for lunch or after work beers. The Heidelburger is the best deal if you go on Monday to Thursday, because it's a dollar off and comes in under $4! The service is a little slow once your food is delivered--it takes a while to get your check and then to get your change/card back--but if you're not in a hurry to get back to work, it can be a nice time to relax. read more

Brauburgers - Fried pickles with their own homemade sauce! Really good and highly recommend - Burgers Near Me - Forest, Virginia

Easily the best upscale burger joint in the Lynchburg area... and there are some great options! Despite being busy, service was friendly and efficient. You would have never known it was packed once you sat down. Burger was amazing, fries were excellent, and portions were generous. The vibe is something I would expect from a larger city, but with accents that pay homage to its home in Central Virginia. Certainly a local favorite, and a must-try if you're in town visiting. read more

I have no clue where some of these reviewers had their burgers at but it certainly wasn't at this place.I've been here twice; when they first opened and today. The first time in I had their bratwurst on a pretzel bun. It was okay but definitely a wholesale food product, like Sysco or PFG but certainly not a handmade hand-ground sausage by any means. The burger I had today was visually appealing and they do offer a good variety of quality toppings on a nice brioche bun. BUT the beef I had was without a doubt a frozen patty and the fries are pre-seasoned and frozen "made-to-order" as well. The beef tasted, and I'm being quite literal here, like how cardboard smells and was equally as dry. Our server had no personality, as though she was not happy to be at work that day. If you're going to open a restaurant an name it "Bräuburgers" (German for Beer Burgers) and price it as such then it had best be the best burger in town and not frozen made-to-order food with more than just 11 beers on tap. Top shelf beers like Spaten Optimator, Oberdorfer Weissbier, Schneider and Ayinger to name a few are what you should serve. Becks doesn't cut it. *The owners should go on a trip to NYC at the East Village and visit Pommes Frites to learn the real way to do a German style burger joint. http://www.yelp.com/biz/pommes-frites-new-york. If you want excellent gourmet burgers here in the burg at the same price range, I'd suggest Macado's, Outback Steakhouse, Ruby Tuesdays or 5 Guys Burgers & Fries. *Germans call them Pommes Frites, not French Fries, as Bräuburgers have on their menu. read more

One of the better casual dining places in town. Got a burger with sweet potato fries that hit the spot with a smooth stout from Colorado to wash it down. They have plenty of seating with a nice patio area during nicer days. I just wish this spot wasn't so far away (relatively) because I would come here more often. They a few big screen TVs to catch games on as well. I do have to knock down a star though because they messed up my buddy's order when we pretty much ordered the same exact thing. read more

Ate there at lunch today with a friend. We both wanted to check it out, and had heard they had a lunch special. I learned that it was the "HEIDELBURGER" which they discounted a whopping .85 cents to $3.95. The "HEIDELBURGER" is 3oz of seasonless beef, a small leaf of lettuce, a thin slice of tomato, their brausauce. If you want anything else, it's more money. 20 cents for a slice of onion. 70 cents for cheese. I think it's sad they would charge 20 cents for a slice of onion. I can understand cheese, but an onion? Come on, that just seems cheap. I wasn't overly impressed with my burger. The other burgers on the list seemed more impressive though, but also quite pricey for a burger without fries. All of which you had to add 70 cents for cheese. If I got a bigger burger with cheese, added fries and a drink, it would be over $12 before tip. That would be too much for a burger that matched the quality of burger I received today if only slightly larger. Our bartender was really nice. He was quick with a refill, and seemed cool with our smaller order. That was a plus. My buddy ordered the 6 peice boneless wings, and only received five. He was to shy to say anything. Overall I will stick with the other burger joints in town (the local joint on Rivermont or the chain on Wards), which have better taste and quality at the same price or maybe even less. read more

Great food. We had a great time there and also our waitress was great. The only suggestion I would like to give is, on the patio put a stand or podium where u can store silverware for the customers. When the waitresses needs them they have to go all the way up from and through the doors to get them. It may be much faster if they had it in the same area where the customers were sitting. But like I said it's just a suggestion. read more

We used to love this place. The food is good when it's done right. I feel like they need to hire new people. The girls are ditsy and never get the order right which is frustrating. Their phones were down for about a month and they still don't answer them even when they are fixed so I have to sit in there and wait to place a to go order. We come to Lynchburg often, to visit our kids at school. We saw this place while taking an afternoon drive. We are so glad we stopped! As a table, we ordered the Brauburger, the Brats, onion rings, fries, coleslaw and German potato salad. With the exception of the potato salad, which should be served warm, it was awesome! The service is good, and there's a view of a TV from all seats. Always Nice to find a new place in Lynchburg! read more
