The only thing wrong with Pints O' Plenty is that it's too far from my house. If you're interested in seeing what my tee-totaling 90-year-old Grandma said about her field trip there, I'd be more than happy to show you the film. It's just so much fun to go and get a surprise pack of a lager here an IPA there. They have wine too and samples and tastings and it's next door to the Apocalypse Brewery. It's just one of the neatest places in Lynchburg. If it were one of my ex's I wasn't over yet I would stalk it and friend it under a fake name on facebook. read more

Homebrew beer and wine supplies, craft and import beer, wine, coffee, gifts. I've always been interested in brewing beer at home, never did it, one day I saw a pints o' plenty roadside sign. Before stopping in, I did a little looking on the internet. The store is in The Pedlar Antique mall, and the next day I stopped by. OK, I have to admit: I was expecting extremely high prices, and a guy telling me I needed to buy everything in the store. What really happened, was I found the prices very reasonable, most items were cheaper, yes, cheaper, than mail order stores, also, I met Doug John, the owner who was very friendly and even talked me out of buying some items! Doug helped me with my first batch of beer, and has routinely went out of his way to help me. As for the craft and import beer. I think there are over 125 different beers. All nonrefrigerated, and individually priced, so you can mix and match to make your own six packs, etc. His prices are the most reasonable that I can find, and he is willing to order in a beer if he doesn't have it. read more

Coming here on a trip from Miami, it's hard to find some good craft beers but while looking in here for a few minutes, there were many. Great prices, great beers, a few limited releases too! Happen to find out the owner here had just been to Miami and I ended up finding myself there two days In a row so far... Could possibly end back there today? Lots of variety and different tasting beers I've never heard of. Definitely check it out. The owner is very nice! Passionate, hard worker. Apocalypse Ale Works is next door. Great beer. Lustful Maiden is the best and most unique. However, the female bartender, "Melissa," Is extremely rude. Talks down on customers. Shows favoritism. No social perception or manners whatsoever. The male bartenders are polite, engaging, and patient. Would give this place five stars if it wasn't for the consistent poor service I have received from this woman. read more

Excellent beer store. Also has some wine, but craft beer is the specialty. There are a couple hundred different beers from all over the world with shelf labels describing the brew and displaying the Beer Advocate rating. The folks working there are very knowledgable. Recently they opened a 10 tap growler filling station mostly featuring top American craft beers. Store has moved to beside the antique store. Doug now has plenty of room to display all the craft beers, some wines, snacks, and brewing supplies. For whatever style beer you like guarantee he has something you will enjoy. If you buy a brewing kit from doug he will agree to brew your first batch with you to walk you through the proper process. Doug has been brewing for years and knows all the tricks he is an encyclopedia of knowledge and willing share with his customers. He has plenty of supplies for Beer extract or grain and wine making. I have compared prices on the Internet and his are right in line with them. I actually drive 1hour to give my business to him. We bought our first kit here, a Robust Porter, and the owner was on hand to give us some brewing advice. Great to deal with but have limited supplies in stock, call and ask if the have it in stock and how many. One case of bottles is no good when you need 24 to 30 bottlels for a batch of wine. They seem to be more into beer brewing than wine making, maybe that's more popular here. read more
