Brauburgers is a place I've been to several times and have never had a negative experience. The staff is always kind and the service is always fast. The restaurant has tons of indoor seating as well as a good amount of patio seating as well. There's several TVs and lots of beer options which makes it a great place to catch a game as well. The burgers are always cooked perfectly and they have a lot of house options as well as a large build your own menu. There's also German options such a as schnitzel and bratwurst, as well as wings and turkey burgers. Went to Brauburgers yesterday with some friends, at 4:00 in the afternoon, and while the food was very good the service was slow! Also, I've noticed that several of our favorite items have disappeared off the menu: jalapeño bottle caps, black and tan onion rings. The French fries are no longer double fried! We will be back, because we still love the place, but please bring back the bottle caps and black and tans ASAP!! read more

We came here years and years ago and decided to give it another try. I'm glad we did as they've definitely upped their game. An overall excellent burger joint! This restaurant certainly shines above the burger places you'll find downtown. I love that they do build your own burgers, and you can opt for a black bean burger as your base! I also love a place that has sweet potato waffle fries that are nice and crispy. Some of the reviews mentioned sub par service or poor upkeep, but I've never had an issue with either and have visited multiple times in the past few years. The 4 vs the 5 star rating is not about the food or service specifically but rather the combination. I'll offer it this way, everything was good. But not extraordinary. Hadn't been here in a long time but stopped with a friend on Sunday. The host was barely audible when he brought us to our table. The waitress took a long time and the food took even longer. She wasn't very attentive at all, nor friendly. The burger was ok but definitely smaller and less flavorful than any other time I have been here. The fries were a total disappointment because they are not the same fries they used to carry. It was freezing at our table because they have the AC blowing down directly in the line of the tables. We went for dinner Tuesday night, service was good. Sadly the food was average, disappointing since the place was hyped up by friends. For our apps, we had the beer cheese pretzels, the cheese was fantastic, however the pretzels themselves were store bought nuggets. I would have thought that someplace pointing to German influences would have good pretzels. The onion rings were quite nice. All of us got burgers, and no one raved about theirs we all thought they were just ok. This was the worst restaurant visit I have ever had. I was with a group of friends and they were out of the first three things ordered being schnitzel, German potato salad and sauerkraut. One friend ordered a Reuben that did not have corn beef on it. It was some type of mystery meat with no sauerkraut very little of some type of dressing and was un edible. The bratwurst that were ordered were burnt and also non-edible. I myself ordered a build a burger with lettuce, tomato, onion, and mayonnaise. The hamburger was cold hard as a rock and chard on both sides. Needless to say it was also non-edible. I asked to speak to the manager and it was a good 20 to 25 minutes before she came to the table. at that point I ask if we could have our check, 45 minutes later after not receiving a check we had to go to the back of the restaurant and tell them what we had and pay. Hands down the best burger place in Forest. I'm all about spicy so I got the Southwest burger and my husband got the Double Uber Bräuburger and we also ordered a large Sweet Potato fries to share. The meat was juicy and tender and the toppings were so fresh and delicious. My puppy goes to daycare right by Bräuburgers so this place is going to be our go to place for dinner. read more

Very disappointed in their Angus cheese steak sub. For me, the bread can either make or break a sandwich. In this case, the bread selection was so horrible, it ruined the sandwich from the very first bite. You can't serve a steak sub on a hot dog bun and expect it to go over well. To add insult to injury, the bun wasn't even toasted. The bun was the store bought variety. The fries weren't much better. You can get a better sub and fries at Sheetz for half the cost. Food was good...service not so much. The employees here seem to be here to socialize more than take care of customers. When we arrived no one was at the hostess station, a waitress finally said someone would be with us shortly. We decided if we waited 5 more minutes we would leave...3 minutes later a hostess finally walked up and just asked how many, no sorry for the wait or anything. We are seated and a waitress comes up to take a drink order. Husband asks for the beer list which she grabs and brings our water. She doesnt come back for at least 10 minutes to ask which beer he wants...which she brings in a warm glass...and she takes our order. Finally our food comes after we've been there a total of 40 minutes. They weren't busy so that's no excuse. When she brings the food she also refills my water and my husband ordered another beer...after she brought that we didnt see her again until we were finished and asked for the check. 99% of the hostess and waitresses time was spent hanging out talking. Customers would walk in and be told someone will be with them in a minute....even from the hostess that's just standing there rolling silverware. She even went once to get the other hostess and made the customers wait even longer. Just ridiculous way to run a business. Maybe dont allow cell phones and so much chatting while customers are waiting. Wont be coming back for awhile. read more

There is a ton of parking so that part was easy. We went in and were given the option of sitting inside or out. Since they had some fans outside with TVs, we went out there. They gave us a wine menu and food menu. It was odd to have to ask for a beer menu with craft beer in the name. After a bit, the waitress came up and I asked if they did flights because it was not listed on the menu. She said yes. So I asked her- what size are the samples- 2, 4 6 ounces? As they vary from place to place. She responded by holding her pointer finger about two inches above her thumb and said about this much.. So I got a flight, tried the beer and left. We had to go get her to get the check to leave. I can't say anything about the food because we didn't have any. And I don't really know what other places in Lynchburg have craft beer... but I would try those places out before I went back here. Maybe just caught them on a bad day.. who knows. read more
