One of the best broasted chicken I've had in the Twin Cities area. Special item - the coleslaw. I wanted to take a bucket of coleslaw home with me.

Two peice dark chicken with mashed potatoes!

Under new management! Beautiful remodel of the side room! Spacious large screen TVS, full bar with plenty of sitting! The food was delicious! Coleslaw was tasty, toast and chicken was amazing! Super excited with the changes in the additional seating! Food continues to be worth the wait.! Best chicken!

The food was excellent best I have had in Minnesota. The waitress was friendly and the service was good. The decor is that of and old timey bar. I enjoyed my experience and will come again.

YES they still serve huge pieces of broasted chicken (see pics as proof). As usual everything was delicious and cooked perfect and we had great courteous service.

I visited Brass Rail on a Saturday around 4pm with my family, four of us total. Parking is... interesting. It's off of highway 65 so watch for fast cars but we managed to get parking easy enough. Once inside it's a little unclear what to do, but we seated ourselves without a problem. It's was relatively empty, maybe 10 other patrons. This place is epitome of dive bar esque, very small town vibe. But, my dad raves about their braised("not fried") chicken so I'll let them have it. After we were seated we got some menus and looked it over even though we all know we're getting some kind of chicken (when in Rome). My brother is a pescatarian so he ordered the butterfly shrimp but otherwise we all ordered the braised chicken (I ordered it with a side of braised potatoes, my mom got onion rings). Be aware the food does take awhile to cook due to the braising method but we knew that coming into it so it was fine. Once the food arrived... wow. It's a lot of food. I ordered the 1/4 white and still couldn't finish it. This is grease-city so be prepared. But, they give you a bunch of sour cream to go with the potatoes which I loved. Do not pass up the coleslaw!!!! I don't like coleslaw but I really enjoyed this, trust me. Just try it. This is a huge and indulgent meal, I don't think I would ever get it again because of how greasy it was but it was definitely very good quality chicken and you could tell it was cooked to order. If you're ever in the area, definitely stop in. Be prepared to wait but they weren't voted best chicken in MN for nothing.

Love the hot wings!!! It's a small town joint so the wait can be long or short, food is always great.

Great place for well priced, tasty broasted chicken. Just be prepared for a wait on the weekends (it's worth it)!

We were seeing a movie nearby, so we stopped in for a bite before the show!…read more There is a small lot outside of this spot with parking available. The interior is sterile, but at the same time a bit messy. It isn't the most welcoming space and could use an upgrade for individuals to dine in. Counter service was friendly and our food arrived decently quick. This spot falls into a similar family as Dave's Hot Chicken, with sandwiches and tenders available in a variety of spice levels. I had the tenders, with BBQ and Mild sauce. They were super yummy and juicy and came with a great dipping sauce. I also appreciated the seasoning on the fries and the pickles served with the tenders. Overall, the food outshown the ambiance of the space. I'd recommend take out if you're in the mood for some yummy chicken in the area.

Last night was my first time trying Nashville Coop. We placed a to-go order for the Strip Box and…read morethe Texas Toast box plus a pint of the Créme of the Coop ice cream. The chicken here is outstanding. It's so nice to have that real chicken meat texture that tears apart instead of something more ground up with filler in it. It's juicy and tastes high quality plus the spices coated on the outside elevate things nicely. I heard the food can be pretty spicy here so I played it safe with the "Mini Coop" spice-level, which suited me well. Just the right amount to feel flavorful but the spice doesn't last once I take a bite or swig of something else. My sister can't handle spice at all so she opted for the "MN Nice" which she actually said was still kind of spicy for her. So take that as you will if you're not a fan of spice! Their special sauce is good and might remind me of Raising Cane's, though I haven't eaten there recently. The French fries and coleslaw kind of felt standard, to be honest. But I really liked the Texas Toast! Unfortunately, we didn't get to try the pint of ice cream. My wife picked up the order and didn't realize she should have looked for it in the bag. When I called the restaurant about the missing pint, they were incredibly apologetic and offered to make up for it with a pint and more next time I'd come in, but since we don't live nearby, I said just refunding the pint was fine. But knowing how much they care about customer service really did leave a good impression! I'd definitely love to eat from here again.
