It is rare to find a place that has amazing service and great real food at a good price. Breakfast was great ! Service was spot on !

Pleasant atmosphere, good waitress, good dinner for our family of five. The brisket had a great flavor, the chopped sirloin was good, the Mac & Cheese was nice and cheesy. The cobbler wasn't great, but the pies looked good. Huge cinnamon rolls, we took one to go for breakfast the next day. Seems like most downtown Branson diners aren't too busy for dinner which is nice. Nice place. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. We went to this restaurant since they served breakfast all day. We got there at about 11am and the server said the weren't serving breakfast anymore. I asked why since their menu said it was served all day. She said since they ran out of a few items, they decided to cut it off completely. The service was terrible. Our server hardly came to our table and when she did, it was like we were bothering her to ask for anything. Our food was so tasteless. It was a complete waste of money to come here. Saw that this is "the best food in Branson". It was noon and mostly empty which is not a good sign. The waitress was efficient but not exactly friendly. I did see her with obvious regulars and she was much better with them. Ordered Mac and cheese as a side and was served mashed potatoes. However, the redemption was in the burger. Didn't have high hopes but was pleasantly surprised by how tasty the burger was! The meat particularly was very good and the bun was very fresh. Just left the Branson Cafe after being told they didn't have room for our party of six. The woman who reluctantly took our name actually huffed in frustration and told us, "Well, I can seat four of you right now, but not six." About 5 minutes later, she came to us again and offered to seat only four of us. When we told her we were leaving because it seemed to be an inconvenience for her that we had six people, she sighed and shook her head. Best place to eat in downtown Branson, hands down. Their burgers are excellent and their pies are literally the best in town. Service is top notch. Quaint little place. I love being in old buildings and imagining what it would have been like years ago. Ordered the half-order of the Frito Pie. Perfect size, chili was good; fritos were stale - I should have sent it back. My in-laws split the CFS and sadly it was not good. The meat was really tough and salty. It didn't taste like the typical meat used for CFS. We asked two different employees and neither knew what kind of meat was used. My husband's cheeseburger was delicious! Good food for the price. Portion sizes aren't huge but was just right for lunch. The service was efficient but not friendly, in my opinion (they groaned at a party of 7). This is a small cafe with limited seating so if you take a group you'll probably have to split up at different tables. Traffic is very congested in that part of Branson so be prepared to walk a bit when you find a place to park. read more

This place reminded me of the cafes/diners my dad used to take me to. The staff was cordial, and responsive, but not overly friendly. The food came out quick, and refills happened as they were needed. The food was good (not as good as Billy Gails), nothing overly fancy, just a damned good breakfast. If you're in the market for breakfast and near downtown branson...this would be my choice. If you want to drive through the woods, wonder where you're going and if you're gonna get there...Billy Gails. But these two were the tops for breakfast, and would be my recommendations for the area. read more

We stopped here while shopping Main Street. It was a great meal. Had a cheeseburger and you could tell the meat was fresh and hand patted. The bun was homemade and toasted just right. The service was very good. Went back the next day for lunch again it was so good. Highly recommend this place. read more

This place was amazing! The Chicken fried steak was awesome! The breading was perfect - crispy and held together well and the steak was done very good. I expected the gravy to be a tad better but it wasn't bad at all. Over all the meals my wife, son and I have were very top-notch. The biscuit I had and the ham steak my wife had was excellent! A small place but so glad we tried it. The Saturday lunch special was thier 2-piece fried chicken with mashed potatoes, gravy and either green beans or corn and a roll. I thought my Kentucky born gramma was in the kitchen. It was just super good country food. The only criticism is a biscuit would have been the crowning touch to the meal. We stopped in for an early lunch and were very pleased. The meat used for the hamburgers is the good stuff--80/20 ground chuck--and it was well seasoned. After finishing my doctored-up bacon cheeseburger, I had a few bites of my son's leftover plain hamburger. It just tasted good. Quite frankly we expected our server to be unfriendly for some reason, but she was very pleasant without being false or overly sappy. My wife had her second-ever Reuben there, and while she's clearly no expert on the iconic sandwich, the way the Branson Cafe made it was delicious. If you have to go while you're there, don't be shy. The single bathroom is located in the kitchen area. Follow the red tile to the door and then hope no one's already inside. If you're local, go ahead and enjoy the chain restaurant fare in Branson Landing below. If you're a tourist, why not try a good restaurant that you won't find in your neighborhood? read more

Nothing to brag about!!! My wife and I planned a mini vacation with the kids to Branson and before we went I researched a few of the restaurants in the historic district because out of all of our trips to Branson we had always talked about going to one so I figured we should try the Branson Café for breakfast. What a waste of money!! Portions were on the small size especially for the price and you know its not all that good when my seven year old took one bite of his biscuit and gravy and asked if I could put some salt on it or something, I told him no that he doesn't get salt but I asked him if I could try it because I was going to order that but changed my mind at the last minute and when I tasted how the gravy was bland and had no taste I kindly put salt and pepper on it for him. I had the country ham which was pretty good and eggs and hash browns came with that and they also had no flavor, I believe the cook needs to be introduced to seasoning. The worst was my wife paid the bill and when we left I asked her how much was the damage and she said $40 before the tip... I was dumb founded we just spent that much on a small portion breakfast that was bland and flavorless and our three young kids barely ate. One of the reasons we went there was my wife saw a picture of their cinnamon rolls and that was what she was going to order only to find out the cook got there late that day and didn't make any, at least that's what the not so happy waitress told us. We will never go back, no reason to try this place again!!!! read more

The food and service were excellent. I didn't feel rushed at all even though they were busy. There was only a 5 minute wait to be seated for Saturday brunch. The place across the street was good the day before, but their brunch wait was ridiculous so I decided to try the Branson Cafe and I'm so glad I did. I'll share the secret too. I found Branson Cafe review on YELP and said to myself, what's the high rating all about. I'll tell you. It's like stepping back in time when you ate at a diner and had the food you're Mom used to make. The chef has dreamed up some incredible dishes. The Reuben is the best I've ever had. I have the Wed special open faced beef sandwich frequently and it's always great. Service is second to none, and quick. They give you ample time to eat and it's a very comfortable experience. Food is very good, and portions are just right. We moved here a year ago and we eat here once a week on average. It's that good. read more

It's a cute little, quaint restaurant. The waitresses are kept hopping the entire time. I was highly disappointed in my chicken tenders, which were simply frozen patties that were heated. There was nothing homemade about them. The portion size was large, but they were just not appetizing. The mashed potatoes were homemade, though. Overall, I was less than impressed. read more
