Awesome food, great beer, excellent server. Had the Saigon burger, fried green tomatoes, steak fries and the Anchorage salmon burger. All were excellent. You should expect fried items to be heavy and they were. I'm giving it a four because it seemed like the hostess tried to seat us out of sight because my boyfriend is not white. Went in for the first time. Had the prickly pear drink, a salad, and a burger. Salad was good. Burger too. But the drinks were so horribly sweet they hurt our teeth. Not a balanced cocktail at all. Such a bummer this place has the atmosphere that looks like it would do well, coming from someone born in Orange County and has owned and ran multiple bars. Ok so not only was this my first stop in Casper it was actually my first stop in Wyoming. I have a friend from Wyoming who said Casper "is a lot bigger/nicer than people think it is" which A)sounds like a lie someone from Wyoming would say and B)a statement I couldn't refute since I'd never been there. Well now having been, I can say with certainty, Casper is bigger and nicer than I thought it was. They even have those electric scooters downtown! Which is where the Branding Iron was. I'll cut to the chase: the burger was amazing. They bill themselves as a gourmet burger place and have a great variety on their menu. But I had to try my tried and true burger which there is called "The Lubbock" (unfortunate, because I have a deep rooted hatred of Texas tech). Anyways, cheddar, grilled onions, BBQ sauce with a medium rare patty. It was a great burger. The place itself is happenin' too. Great selection of local beers. Definitely a modern feel while maintaining a Wyoming charm. Five Stars, easiest decision of my day. read more

Stopped in here during a visit to Casper. Modern-looking I side with great ambiance. Monday was all-day happy hour, which was a nice surprise. We ordered burgers and everyone was please. Restaurant: Amazing atmosphere. It really fits with the rustic vibe that is the state of Wyoming. On top of this, the staff keeps the location very clean and sanitary. Tvs in every corner for your entertainment. Bar: The bar is separated from the dinning area(which is nice for the guest who are dining so they don't have to deal with bar noise). They also keep the bar very clean. It has almost a sports bar feel to it. Also equipped with TVs for your entertainment. Food: ALWAYS cooked fresh to order. Amazing quality, not the cheap stuff. I highly recommend their bison burger. It's called the Yellowstone. Cute and extensive menu. All hand held items named after a city. Excellent drink selection. Staff: Always friendly and very attentive. They never let my drink even get half empty before they refill it for me. The bartenders are also very kind and actually know their stuff. To top it all the manager is always there. Very well trained crew. Summary: Great food, great building, and wonderful staff. Probably the best restaurant in Casper. read more

Found this place by searching Yelp. We had just finished a 13 hour driving day on a road trip and needed a good place to sit and eat and relax for a bit. This restaurant is in a nice area that you can also get out and walk around for a bit. We sat down and the inside is very nice. Service was prompt and, though they were out of a few items, they were very up front about it so you didn't make a decision on what you wanted to eat to find out later you were going back to the drawing board. I always appreciate knowing up front. We ordered our food from a good menu with a variety of options. Absolutely everything we had was delicious. It was all well cooked, flavorful, and not run-of-the-mill. I would come back here anytime. Fair warning though, most of what we had was spicy. We chose this restaurant because the menu offered a wide selection for my carnivore husband and met my pesci-vegetarian needs. The fried green tomatoes we shared were great. My salmon Caesar salad was ok enough - seemed like boxed romaine and croutons, large portion of salmon (overcooked a bit), mild dressing that could have used more cheese, anchovies... something. Husband's chicken fried steak was tender and well cooked - but almost inedibly over-salted. We left fed but unimpressed. It seemed like there was enough staff running around, tho someone I took to be a manager took the time to restock the kitchen with hamburger rolls. Overall, things seemed to be in flux. Our waiter gave off distinct "newbie" vibes - not knowing a beer was unavailable and admitting that he didn't know beers so couldn't recommend a substitute - he didn't ask for help or send someone over to provide information; leaving my martini on the bar for... way too long; informing us that "the kitchen is backed up" after we'd long since figured that out. I'd classify all of the above as management / quality control issues. The waiter was an affable, polite, nice kid doing his best. Hope he stays in college! read more

Traveling through Casper on our way to Jackson, we picked this restaurant totally by blind chance (seriously, pulled up the map, closed my eyes and picked) and I couldn't of been happier. Philly was amazing, Louisville burger was juicy and great (definitely add bacon here, you won't be sorry), and salad was fresh! Onion rings were crisp and their ranch made a good dipping sauce! Really nice place coming in. Staff is super friendly and attentive. The "poutine" is like nothing I have ever had. Gravy and cheese sauce was cold over seasoned curly fries. In my experience all curly fries taste like you got them from Arby's. The cheese curds were fried cheese, which are great on their own, but not here. The New Orleans burger I ordered. I will be honest that I didn't give it the benefit of the combination, I ordered the shrimp on the side. I think they would have been a very interesting spicy seafood addition. The bun was very delicious. The biggest problem I had was the burger itself. It was not good at all. I could only eat half. I'm not sure what exactly it was, but hopefully I am a one off and the rest are delicious. read more
