We can usually find what we need for any small projects. The staff are not very friendly (at least they weren't at my last visit) but the store has some fun novelty stuff for most occasions. They have a great water refill program, 12 refill is free. Years ago I bought an amazing set of Paderno pots here that I still use. They have a great kitchen section. They also have great deals around Boxing Day, as we are usually in Toronto around Christmas. An oldie but a goodie, a great local neighbourhood hardware store.

This is a small store with many, many items in each aisle, along the walls and even the in bins between the aisles. There are deals to be had everywhere you look.

Recently, I was in Canadian Tired and was appalled by the lack of customer service and aggressive behaviour of staff over leaving my bags at the door. So "no thank you" to corporate hardware services, hello local retailers! This was a tiny place packed with all sorts of items. The staff was interested in helping me find a solution to my problem I was seeking to repair. I watched as they had a rapport with other local businesses and took careful time to discuss how to handle a 'rodent problem' with a neighbour. You only build that kind of trust and rapport by treating people kindly and with care. Discussing the various options including poison was an overheard conversation, but it was telling to me. Customer service is the bread and butter of the retail industry and a good measure of the trustfulness that one can have with a business owner who is attentive and caring. I'm definitely coming back with my business to this store, even though the corporate hardware option is closer.

They explained that their suppliers keep raising prices so they have to raise prices. They said there will be no more available tomorrow onward! I also bought a pack of 5 without valve for $20. They also ran out of hand sanitizer so they had to hunt for them today. They only have 20 left. A 118mL bottle cost $5 each which isn't inflated.

John is the guy who makes sure the plumber comes in after the electrician has set up his work. The process took a lot longer than expected- something any reno is likely to run into. Every time I have visited, there is always a version of the product I am looking for, only a couple of times I did not like the version of the product they had and I ended up buying it elsewhere. Also you cannot beat the prices, they are a great deal! I have really liked having this hardware close by, as I like to be handy and hands only with all my household chores. This place has made it possible for me to complete quite a few projects around my home. This is always the first place I visit when I need something for a project I am working on and they usually have what I need! The staff here is mostly just one person, I think I have seen someone in the back working.
