We purchased 22 shrubs from this store and a few of them seems to have dry leaves. When we mentioned this, we were told that there was a one year warranty on these plants and if they get worse, we can bring them back. We have a south facing huge backyard with plenty of sun and we brought all the plants in the backyard and placed them exactly where we wanted to plant them. We watered all the plants everyday. Unfortunately, a few of the plants that didn't look good when we purchased them became progressively worse, so we decided to go back and return them. The lady at the customer service desk looked at us with an attitude and called the owner right away to speak to us. Vince Crupi came and instantly began hurling accusations at us. He began by saying that we must have left the plants in the garage, then he said that we didn't water them enough, then he said that we have been abusing the plants in some way!!!! None of his accusations were true as we had the other 18 shrubs that are doing quite well. I tried explaining this to him and told him that I didn't appreciate his accusations since we did not bring rest of the plants to return and that his accusations didn't even make sense. When I asked him to take his plants back, he said that we could certainly leave these plants but we were not going to getting our money back. I reminded him of the one year warranty and he ordered the lady at the customer service desk to stamp our receipt "Final Sale" to void our warranty! My husband and I were shocked at their outrageous and unethical behavior. I was very upset at their actions and said that they couldn't do that. Vince smirked and said "Yes, I can do anything I want and I just did. I have been running this business for 40 years so I absolutely can do whatever I want and you no longer have any warranty as we just stamped final sale on your receipt". I told him that customers have rights and what he did was unethical. Vince Crupi then told us to get out of his store and asked the lady to call police. The customer service lady was absolutely the rudest person and came right up to my face to within one foot distance to kick us out of the store. We are a very busy family, but we intend to take legal action against this business owner as what he did goes against business ethics. As customers, we must speak up so this type of business owners don't abuse their power and behave unethical. Vince behaved like we live in a 3rd world country where powerful people can do whatever they want and the public has no rights. I felt humiliated and my rights were violated for the very first time and they shouldn't think that it's okay to do what they did to us.

These plants are known to keep the air clean and are easy to care for - two absolute wins in my book. I was able to not only find a plant to take home, but also a trendy planter that matched my new bedroom decor. The best part was that an employee was kind enough to offer to pot it for us. There was a small fee for this (under $10), but it was worth it because I am not the most educated when it comes to that kind of thing. The employee was also very transparent with us when we asked if she could ensure the plant was in a healthy state, it was :). Happy to report my plant is alive and thriving! The trees here are all healthy and much bigger than you will find at a big box garden centre. This trip I found a very full Hilly Yew which was much taller than any available at other centers. Another city, another eye appealing experience. There was no customer lineup here. It was somewhat overcast and hanging just above freezing mark with a breeze. Masks are mandatory before allowed entry. This Toronto store is small-sized compared to recent ginormous garden centres we've visited. Indoor product selection was good and pricing was on the high end. The outdoor display areas were virtually empty due to winter. Aisles are narrow and a shopping basket is the way to go both inside and outdoors. Staff were knowledgeable, offering assistance, and friendly. Checkout was quick. Parking is found on the other side of the road opposite of the front entrance to the building. Wait for it..... Yes, we came home with 2 plant additions to our home!

Fantastic greenhouse…read more They've been open the whole way through the pandemic and doing a great job of limiting customers at the door, making sure everyone wears a mask and wiping down the cash area, carts and providing sanitizer around the store. Unlike other stores, I've seen workers confront anti-maskers and escort them from the store. The girls are extremely knowledgeable and helpful, happy to make arrangements and talk about the plants and flowers. The soil guys out back are very helpful and strong! Remember to tip them! I've seen some reviews about the owner, but they're very one sided. I've been to the greenhouse frequently and started gardening a lot. I've only ever seen the owner stick up for his employees when they're being belittled and berated. Again this is only a few instances, but I can only imagine that the people with 1 star reviews of this place are also the types of people who don't get their way and tell their version of what happened. With that out of the way, they have a fantastic inventory and honestly considerably cheaper than other greenhouses in the area. It's no wonder that there's always a lineup.
