Aight so boom: my brakes are making the worst noises and I take a look online and found this place with a great price point and based on the reviews bomb customer service. I go in nervous because I had been taken advantage of before when it comes to car repairs. So much that the majority of my repairs had been diy to this point. But I didn't have the right equipment or knowledge to do something as strenuous as brakes and rotors. After the inspection I was told I needed to get my rotors replaced as they had stress tears. Not initially what I came in for. The price they quoted me was for sure not in my price range and I said I'd just come back next week. But because it was a safety issue the mechanics didn't like the idea of me putting the car on the road in that condition. So I say let me make a few calls then I ask my budget. Which is a hundred or so dollars and some change less than what the initial quote was. The mechanics not only worked with my budget. But even dealt with my dad calling and being angry and concerned. My truck has not run this smoothly since it's gotten up in age. They now have a lifetime customer, and they won over my father's trust. This is not the first time I have had my oil changed at the Coit/Parker location, but it will be my last. I made an appointment for 1p, on a sunny Friday because I was told it would take less time than on the weekend. Then upon arrival, was told it would take more than the 25 minutes originally quoted so I walked around and came back an hour later. The car was exactly where I parked it. Since others were waiting and I had a place to go, I told them I would be back in another hour. During that hour it began to rain, a lot. I went back to pick up my car at 4, only to find that during all that waiting, nobody there thought to close the popped up sunroof and my headliner, seats and console are soaked. I was told that was the way I brought it in, so that's the way it stayed. Very disappointed in the customer service of this location. I have heard wonderful things about the Frisco off Preston location. Guess I will be heading there in 5k miles. read more

I am writing another review (not sure if the first one went through). I had my car serviced today at Brakes Plus Coit and I can't thank them enough. Great, great customer service. I have had my car serviced there in the past but moved out of the area. I had taken my car to another car service center closer to where I live but because of horrible customer service, I drove the distance back to Brakes Plus Coit who are a prime example of "going beyond" with customer service. Josh Bryant is wonderful! He took the time to explain everything to me regarding my car and saved me a lot of money compared to the other auto service center. All the service techs I came into contact with at Brakes Plus Coit had a smile on their face and said good morning as I was waiting. First time to use Brakes Plus and this facility was terrific and friendly from the time I walked in the door. I had brake service performed on my 2008 Toyota and the estimated quote was spot on for the total bill, no extra charges that wasn't on the quote. They were very quick with the service as it took less than 2 hours for brake service on both the Front and Rear brakes. Service Manager Nicholas White was very helpful in explaining the quote and what needed to be done as well as the others working with other customers. If you haven't used them before, I recommend you give them a try as they perform other maintenance and repairs also with reasonable prices. I have parked my car and entered in to the office. I've turned in the key. They won't charge for checking the brakes which is something I already need replacing. One star here. Then I waited for an answer on what's going on with the car. One rep explained the parts needing replacement and recommended some other services. One star here. After that, rep allowed me to choose the premium service with a lot less cost. The cost was showing over $300 and I ended up paying $225. It was a decent check out process and it all finished in 2 hours straight. That's why I gave five stars. It's for honesty and for decent conversation and for a pleasant check out. This business is professional, reasonably price and makes gentle recommendations without the high pressure sales tactics of many car repair businesses. Their employing are caring, professionals who go out of their way to make taking my car for minor or medium repairs, brakes, inspections etc., Also, one time after servicing my vehicle, I got in the car and my wallet fell out. An employee found it in the parking lot, and called me to let me know it was there, with the cash still inside. I have gone to this garage for more than a year now. Have had front end suspension rebuilt (including struts/springs all around), radiator replaced, new catalytic converter and various other parts serviced. They are simply the best service center I have used in some 50 years of driving and I'm not exaggerating . It's not always easy to find a garage you can trust, but I believe I have finally done so. Their prices are quite fair (and much better in many cases) and they stand behind their work. If you're looking for good service from good people, this is the place. read more

Brad and his team were awesome. I highly recommend this business. My brakes were squealing and I knew I needed brake pads. I took my car to a shop near my office for convenience and their estimate was over the top - suggesting new rotors etc.... I took my car to Brakes Plus the next morning, they took me work and picked me up at lunch when it was done. Brad did not promise that I would not need rotors until he looked at it but assured me that he would not do anything that was not necessary. My bill was $500 less than the first estimate! This is the second time I got repair service at Brakes Plus on Coit ( the first was for brake work 11 months ago) and again I was more than pleased with the results. My Odyssey was hurtin' with a number of issues, as you can imagine for a van with 235,000miles. They worked a miracle , reviving the van's performance. Special thanks to Brad and Chris for going above and beyond the call of duty by doing many extra things to make the car run so well and safely. Got an estimate from NTB to repair my brakes for $650 after waiting 1.5 hours to fix a tire leak, since they were only a mile from my office. I had bought my tires from Firestone, so I got a quote from them for $400. Brad, Brandon and several others have taken care of me for the past 11 years at Brakes Plus. They only charged $350 for exactly the same work. In addition Brakes Plus shuttled from home and back so I wouldn't have to wait. No brainer - don't go to NTB and be scammed. Brought my 2005 Civic in for electrical issues. Car was missing, dash lights flashing & radio. They put it on diagnostics & said it was alternator. Replaced alternator but had to bring it back as did same thing next day. They put it back on diagnostics (no charge) & found a relay bad. Replaced the relay (at cost of part only) & car seems to run fine now. They were polite & responsive at all times. read more

Customer service was amazing here. I had been driving my car with no brake lines, and that had led to other problems. I was super stressed about how much my car was gonna cost, and the GM did all he could to lower the cost for me.
