Brought my car in for an alignment. Steering wheel was turned while wheels were straight. The front desk guy told me they don't fix that as part of the alignment when the website clearly states it's part of the package. He said there was no way to do it without spending $300 extra dollars when I know cars, I only use shops for tires and alignments. He was lying or his tech was lying because they didn't want to spend an extra ten minutes fixing this. I took the car home and fixed it in my driveway in ten minutes without "dropping the subframe" as he said. His tech was lazy and he tried to lie to me to spend more money. He also told me there was a loose bolt in the back I could pay to tighten. That took all of thirty seconds with a crescent wrench. This place is lazy and a total rip off. I would hate to be unknowledgeable of cars and take a vehicle here to spend hundreds more on seconds of extra work that my normal shop does NON GRATIS. (Free). I repeat do not go here unless you like lazy techs and insane prices. They wouldn't even follow the websites description of an alignment. Ridiculous! Wasted an hour but saved lots of money and a headache later judging by the quality of the staff. read more

We had a fantastic experience at this location. Just relocated from California. Brad and company took exceptional care of us. They were able to inform us the car was in desperate need of some attention. Quite a bit of grinding by the time we got to Texas. They make you feel welcome here and really want to make the best and decision to get you back on the road. Very effiecient and friendly location, i will make it a point to recommend this place to anyone who may need some work done on their car. You wont be disappointed! read more

Got my brakes done on Saturday. & I spent around $430 & my car still makes a squeaking noise when I brake. Not happy about that. Will be going in to get that fixed ASAP. read more

I went to Brakes Plus to get an alignment. Besides the alignment, I was told I needed a ball joint replaced and that would cost an additional $350 for the part and labor. I said I would wait on that and just wanted the alignment. The tech told me he couldn't do the alignment until I had the ball joint replaced. I became a little suspicious and just said I would wait (bc I wanted to take it somewhere else for a 2nd opinion.). He insisted it needed to be done. I left w/o having any work done. A week later I took my car to a different company for an alignment. They never said I needed a ball joint replaced. I mentioned what happened at Brakes Plus. I was told my car did NOT need a ball joint replaced. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO BRAKES PLUS!! THEY WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU IF THEY THINK THEY CAN!!! read more

These guys were great! I had hit a curb the night prior and had my safety guard loose! Aaron fixed it and got me on the road in no time! They are great! read more

5 stars for the customer service!! This is my new goto shop. Super nice guys that didn't take advantage of a single lady! Hard to find at car repair places sometimes. I'll be sending friends and family here from now on. read more

Great place for car service! I've read past reviews and want to put out there that this location is under NEW management! I have been here for service a few times now and every time I have zero complaints. They are friendly, fast and do the job right the first time. Most shops make me feel uncomfortable going in without my husband however here I feel the opposite and know I will be taken care of despite my automotive knowledge (or lack of). Great job Brakes Plus!! You have a customer for life!! read more

I came In for a brake repair and my total came out to 790 and I couldn't afford the whole thing the gm cover the rest of my bill and I only paid 350 for the rest I really appreciate them because I have been through hell with my car thank you Brake Plus read more

My dealership quoted me $700 for brake work that needed " immediate attention " after a routine oil change inspection. I came to Brakes Plus for a second opinion and they quoted me $400. Came in for my appointment today and a second tech looked at my brakes again and advised that I did not need a new caliper as originally quoted, instead my caliper pins could be re-lubricated and work just fine. This brought my quote down to $150! I am a woman who always dreaded anything dealing with car repairs but these people are honest, sincere, and funny. I will be coming to brakes plus for all my car repair needs from now on. You can trust these people to give it to you straight about car repairs! read more

I brought my car here for new brakes. I'm always nervous to do car repairs because of cost, time, etc. It didn't take long for my nerves to disappear, because these guys were so helpful and friendly! Brad in particular was a class act. He was joking with me and had me laughing in no time! He knew I was on a tight budget and did an awesome job of explaining what needed to be done and what options were available to me. I'll definitely be coming back for future repairs :) read more

Very honest business! I made an appointment and arrived about 5 minutes early. Was greeted by a friendly employee and my car was in the garage and going up on the lift right on time. I'd been hearing a noise that my dad thought was my brakes. About 10 minutes later, an employee came and told me my brakes were still in great shape with half the wear left. Didn't charge me a penny. Wow! I'll definitely be back when it IS time! read more

I really needed my brakes checked and was called for quotes to several different places. Most places estimated $200. One place quoted almost $500 for a replacement. Insane. Finally called here and their premium package is $99. Plus they have a $20 off coupon on their website. So $79 plus tax won me over instantly. I dropped it off and they had it ready within an hour and a half. Great customer service! I'll definitely be back! read more

Great service, gave us a second opinion on a quote and was able to do the work for half of what the dealership quoted.

Brandon and his staff have truly been a blessing for our family! They have recommended only the repairs needed, which were completed in a speedy manner at pricing that has blown away the competition. We have come to trust them and wouldn't consider going anywhere else! Thank you Brandon for your dedication to your customers! read more

I asked them to fix my engine oil leaking. I found leaking again and one indicate light in my car panel was not normal after one week. They told me there was another place leaking. I had to pay extra hundred dollars. I report this issue to their manager. That manager was so arrogant, I still remember even after several years. read more

New to Plano and came to this location and the staff was friendly. Brad, the General Manager, was super nice, patient and honest. His integrity led to a great experience and a successful outcome in repairing my vehicle and he really gave me that unique experience. Highly recommend this location! read more

I was so impressed by how amazing the customer service was at this auto shop. I made my appointment online this morning with no issues whatsoever. It was quick and easy to do. I was helped by Brad and he was the kindest person. He gave me a free brake check and let me know that my front brake pads needed to be changed. He didn't try and hassle me into spending more money than I needed to. He showed me my options and some additional services if I wanted to do them. The pricing was extremely fair and they also have coupons on their website you can redeem when checking out. Also there is a lifetime warranty on the brake pads which I thought was also a great bonus. I will definitely continue to bring my car here and recommend you do the same if you want good service. Just ask for Brad and he will get you taken care of. read more

I have just started going to brakes plus, to be honest I first went to get an alignment on on of my cars. While I was there they gave me a quote for a clutch replacement for my 98 ranger, but the best part about that quote is that it was almost $400 less than what other shops told me. So I said ok let's do it. Came out fantastic. So I asked them if they could give me a quote on a AC repair they said sure, but I also had a different shop quote it as well. Brakes Plus quoted me $210, while AMMCO in Plano quoted my $430. The auto techs at brakes plus are good at what they do, and they fix the part instead of scraping it and getting a new one. But out of all of this I got a one day turn around on all of my repairs. read more

Brakes Plus has changed management staff or policies the last 2 years from an honest car repair to a price gouging, dishonest, lazy business. I am saying this to warn others. Do NOT take your car there unless you have an extra $800 around that you don't need. I have taken my car there 3 times over the last year for the same reason and paid $800 each time!! It just happens that the problem was a "different hose" like the car has 4 different coolant hoses. They apparently replaced the wrong ones and would not admit it. They think the general public is stupid and take advantage of people. read more

My family takes all of their cars here. It's no nonsense so you won't get jerked around, and they do great work.

This is my second time going and I really appreciate how I never feel like I'm getting sold on services I don't need. Went in to get my 2017 Mazda taken care of for the routine 45000 mile checkup and suggested that the transmission fluid might need replacing (rule of thumb I had always been told). Rather than replacing it upfront and charging me $150 for it, Jason and the crew inspected it and found it wasn't necessary at the time which saved me money. Got the oil changed, tires rotated, and rear brakes replaced in a little over an hour. read more

Horrible experience, I took my car for an alignment last week, this place was recommended by discount tire in park and k ave, Plano. The mechanic offered me to fix many things he found wrong with my car. I tool him, thank but I fix the car myself, I only need the alignment done. He insisted, the alternator is the first thing it will go bad if you do not replaced and your car will stop suddenly. I told him not thanks, I replaced the alternator a year ago, it was perfect. At the next day, the car stops on the rode in Arlington. Three hours later! I realized the alternator fuse has disappear. When the battery got fully discharged, the car stop functioning. The mechanic took the fuse out on porpoise. I know this for a fact, I am the only person driving this car. Do not take your car here, this is not way to create business, bad people, dishonest. I did not call to ask for anything in return of this car manipulation. I am not going back there ever again. By smart, do the same. read more

They did an excellent job replacing the brake pads and turning the rotors on my daughter's Honda a very good price as agreed. The work was finished on time and the brakes work great! I will bring my other cars here for brake work soon. Thank you. read more

A few months ago we started bringing our cars here for brakes/oil changes. Since that smart decision we have had a lot of work on our Lexus and Tahoe. While it stinks to have to fix cars and repair the problems it's a necessity and these guys give honest advice and charge much less than others we compared them to. Brad actually told us our brakes were fine but the timing belt was rotten. It had never been replaced in 12 years so made sense. Last week our ballon shocks went out in my wife's Lexus. I took it next door to Drivers Edge-Plano and their "parts" price was obviously padded since Brad of Brakes Plus charged us a total price of $680 (labor included) versus the "parts price" of $775 before labor cost. How does that happen? We're fans of this place for when we have maintenance needs or car problems. read more

Being a female, I typically hate taking my car in by myself for repairs because I always feel like I'm getting conned. However, the people here are exceptional! Their prices are upfront and they don't do any work before consulting with you. I especially felt that the store manager (Elias) was very kind and honest. Never did I feel pressured and he took the time to explain things and answer questions. I took my car in for some new brake pads and paid 1/3 of what the dealership was quoting me! Plus, I was running late (on a Saturday!) to pick up my car and they were very nice to wait for me :) This is my new go-to car shop! read more

Been getting my oil change here for over a year now. The guys here are super friendly and welcoming. I usually get coupons in the mail for $7 off oil changes (becomes $19.99 for regular, $49.99 for synthetic). Even better is that with the oil changes, you can get mail in rebates from Valvoline, usually $15 off any service at that particular Brakes Plus location. Now you can't combine the $7 coupon with the rebate to get a super cheap oil change, but you can apply the $15 to other services. Get here earlier on the weekends because it does get packed. read more

I needed new brakes and rotors and I did not have very much money. I knew I needed the front brakes and rotors fixed so I went to Brakes Plus. They did a test drive on it and to my dismay I also needed the back brakes and rotors fixed. When one of the guys told me that I needed all of that fixed I didn't know what to do. I do NOT have a lot of money and this wasn't a luxury car so could not pay for all of that work. He told me it was unsafe for me to continue to drive my vehicle and I told him that I couldn't afford to get that much work done. So we talked and he made some calls and he was able to fix my car within my budget. I LOVE BRAKES PLUS!!!!! You will too read more

Great place to go for an oil change! They were quick and what I really appreciated was the guy came to me and pointed out a couple things they noticed about the car for me to keep my eye on. They didn't push their services on me and just offered friendly advice. I'd recommend them to anyone in the area looking for some basic car maintenance. read more

This place has most definitely earned my loyalty! The manager and partner, Elias, is an outstanding and one of the most professional people I have met. Honestly, these days it's hard to find a great shop who will not rip you off with charges here and there. Elias has always treated my family and I well and I am so grateful to him and his team for always taking care of our vehicles so well whenever we have problems. Thank you for your EXCELLENT customer service! read more

I was on my way home from work and the initial place I was planning on going to for an oil change and inspection didn't answer the phone so I did a quick google search and clicked on this place because it was literally 2 minutes away. They answered right away and informed me of the prices and asked if and when I wanted to come in. I said I did and was only about a stoplight away and with no hesitation Elias Yao said come on in we'll see you in a bit! So far I'm impressed with the great customer service Elias provided me and will continue to come here for my car service needs. read more

This is probably the only car repair shop I've been to that puts me at ease. Every employee I've talked to is knowledgeable, kind, and won't try to sell you repairs you don't need. This shop is pretty special, in my opinion. Anytime I need my car looked at, have a question about something, or just need routine work, I'm coming here. read more

Dishonest!! We took our truck in to get an estimate on getting the brakes replaced and were given a price of $129. It was too busy that day (it was a Saturday) so we decided to go back during the week as they suggested. When we went back today for the exact same work we were quoted on Saturday, we were again told $129. The rotors looked fine and just the pads needed to be replaced. The tech tried to sell us porcelain pads but we told him we could only afford the economy pads at $129 since we have a daughter getting married soon. When he asked again with a discount on the porcelain we AGAIN told him we could only afford the price we were quoted! However when it came time to pay the price almost TRIPLED! WHY?? Why on earth would brake pads cost almost $350?!?!? We were told the original price did not include labor. So more than $200 in labor?? By the time we were given the total the job was almost done and after we threw a fit explaining FOR THE THIRD TIME we could only afford the price we were quoted, they would only come down to $266. A couple years ago we had all four brakes AND rotors replaced for $400 at a mom & pop shop. Who are they kidding with a price of $350 for a simple brake job?!?! We will never be back!! And we will make sure everyone we know never goes there. read more

Do NOT go here. They will screw you when they can. One thing will lead to another and they will take every dime you have. They will also make more work out of just a brake job or an oil change. Trust me your better off going almost anywhere else. read more

I work on my cars and needed an alignment from someone who would do a good job without trying to up sell me on work that I know I don't need. I try to avoid the "lifetime" alignment places because I am concerned they would not do quality work after several "free" alignments. On the other hand, I don't want to spend a lot of money each time I get an alignment because I want to align my car frequently. Jason and Bobby met my needs. They were very personable. They know cars and they understood my concerns. Even with less (car) knowledgeable customers, Jason let them know about future concerns (like wear on brake pads) without pressuring them into buying something now. Bobby knew the intricacies of my car and spent the time that I hoped he would on the alignment. My experience exceeded my expectations (which are high). I will be visiting them often in the future for my alignments. read more

This place is amazing! Being a woman I have been taken advantage of when it comes to car repairs. Thankfully for me I know a thing or two thanks to my brother. These guys were honest and reasonable. They worked with me to make my repair more affordable. They beat firestones prices any day. For example, I needed new c.v axles put on my vehicle. Brakes plus quoted me a little over 200 cheaper than firestone. Plus a lifetime warranty. You really can't beat that. Unfortunately, I moved out of the area not too long ago and one thing I'll miss is having an honest repair shop like this one. Their customer service is beyond amazing! Management goes above and beyond and that means a lot, esp when dealing with vehicle repairs. Thanks again guys! read more
