We moved to the area 2020. I stopped in at 3265 Golden Triangle to have the brakes checked on one of our vehicles. They checked and let me know I didn't need to spend that money yet. I appreciate how they were honest and didn't try to sell me something that I didn't need. From then on we have taken all five of our vehicles here for any service they provide. When they don't provide a service, they have made excellent recommendations to us. I had to get tires and I called to see if they would do the alignment and Chris said he would price match the other company's discount. Chris, James, and Rob always greet us by name and are so helpful every time. And obviously the mechanics are awesome also because they have always done excellent work each time. Adam was very helpful. I went in for a brake job only to find out that my cars axle was broken. Parts were ordered immediately and Reyes had my car finished within an hour. Adam was very patient and walked me though everything that needed to be done. These guys are very knowledgeable and the prices are very affordable. I went here to get new brakes yesterday not knowing if I needed them in the front or back as I was hearing a little grinding. I was told first that my parking brake was rubbing on my back wheels causing the grinding issue and it was going to be $150 to fix... also that I needed all 4 new rotors and brake pads. I agreed to get the parking brake issue fixed because they said it was urgent but wanted a second opinion on the other stuff. 10 minutes later I was told just kidding it wasn't your parking brake you actually need a new rear hub assembly (wheel bearings) and it was going to cost me $900 to fix that and another $700 for all 4 rotors and pads... ended up walking out without spending a dime because I didn't have the money. A worker told me before I left to be very careful on the road because my wheel bearings could cause my tire to blow or fall off if I drive on the highway over 70 mph. They advised me to not on the highway at all! I was terrified so I went to get a second opinion today and the mechanic told me I only needed 2 front rotors, no brake pads (although he replaced front 2 with the rotors) and NO ISSUES WITH MY REAR WHEEL BEARINGS! This place tried to scam me out of $1700 because I'm a 26 year old female who doesn't know much about cars. They then tried to scare me into opening a credit card with them because what I needed was urgent. Who does that??? Will NEVER go back here. These guys clearly do not know what they're doing!!!! I have a truck that needed brakes, the back brakes were grinding against the rotor, so I knew I needed brakes. They pulled my truck in right away, let me know everything that was malfunctioning pertaining to the breaks and let me know I had a leak under the truck as well. This is the ONLY shop after my past four auto shops in the month that was able to tell me that something was wrong with my car and was actually able to tell me WHAT was wrong with my car. I was at the end of my rope, stressed and panicked because the car that everyone deemed "safe and nothing was wrong with it" was smoking, I was sent away from another shop and this shop was right there as my saving grace. I pulled in almost in tears and frustrated. James and Chris (I think) came out immediately and looked at my smoking car, they brought humor to my misfortune because "My car was SHHHMOKIN'"which I appreciate but he got on the concrete and looked at my car immediately. The most effort I've gotten from anyone (mind you I've been to FOUR auto shops before this one) they were able to tell me what was wrong with my car and how they were going to fix it. Every time I called they had an update for me. I wish I came here in the first place. Thank you for fixing my car that not even the dealership mechanic could do. On Saturday I came over to Brakes Plus after City Garage in Fort Worth gave me an outrageous quote. Upon arriving I was pleasantly greeted by the general manager, Josh. I am normally not very trusting of auto repair shops due to the high markups and push to sell things that do not need to be done, but Josh was awesome. First thing was he explicitly said he did not want to see what the other auto shop said I needed to have done because he wanted me to feel comfortable that he wasn't just saying the same things for extra work. After doing a thorough inspection of my car he brought me back and showed me everything that he identified and gave me options to save money (things like machining the rotors down vs. replacing them completely). I ended up getting a new headlight, an oil change, front and back brakes/rotors, an alignment, a power steering flush, and a brake flush. Josh and I talked about what needed to be done he quoted me a price that was absolutely fair for the parts and labor involved ($720 out the door). You could watch them work on your vehicle and even though they were slammed and I did not have an appointment, they got my car done really quick for all the work I had done. The whole time I was there I really felt confident that I made the right choice bringing it to them and there is no way I will be going anywhere else. I chose them because they offer a free alignment check plus all alignments are $67, no estimates or hidden fees were involved.
