I had been to Miles Automotive this morning for my car inspection. As I arrived near the garage I wqs greeted by one of the mechanic there asking for what I am looking for. He quickly responded to my request and said 20 minutes and we will let you know. Before he took charge of my car gave me all the information about the process and price. I felt it ws clean wnd clear instruction and that's why I felt comfortable going ahead taking their service. Miles, the owner, told that as courtesy they will give me discount on my oil change next time and mentioned what oil they use which i felt was part of good service communication. I will definitely visit them again if I have any auto work to check and may update the experience. read more

Disclaimer: This paragraph contains large amounts of sarcasm. Yelp HQ didn't like my review, so they ordered that I endure mandatory "Sensitivity" training. After a long look in the mirror, I feel as though I've progressed, and am a nicer person. [yawn] Here's the deal- I believe that I have a fiduciary duty to write honest reviews. I'll try my best to adhere to the boring PC approach that the yelp nerds at their San Francisco based think tank demand of us. Here's an honest review of Miles Automotive: Miles Automotive is a small gas station, C-Store, inspection shop, and [deleted words] mechanic, all rolled into one. Seeing as though they're the closest shop to get my vehicles inspected at, I've opted to take them to Miles. Are their prices cheaper? No. Are they friendlier. Hell no! I could go on and on, as far as the bad taste in my mouth due to these [insensitive words]. So, I'll simply leave this review to one circumstance: I took a BMW in for a state inspection, in which it passed. Since the car has an out of state title, it also needs a "green sheet" to accompany the title, before it can be registered in Texas. They gave me a sheet, but it was only the inspection sheet, sans the "green sheet." Unbeknownst to me (new to Texas), it was incomplete. When I inquired where my "green sheet" was a few days later, when I found out they were in error, Mike Miles [perplexed look], said, well, you need to bring the car back in, and we'll have to re-inspect it. From there, it got ugly: Me: So, I have to bring the BMW back in, and have *you* re-inspect it, because *you* forgot to give me the green sheet? Not to mention, I paid for the green sheet (receipt in hand). Mike Miles: [Took a second, or twenty] Well, yes, you need to bring the car back in [speaking softly, and slowly, like someone with s****** n**** would do] so, I can re-inspect it. Oh, and it will be another $40.00. Me: The car is sold, so it can't be brought back in. Mike Miles: Walks away. I guess customer service is not his strong point? Next day- I call the Texas Department of Transportation. They indeed inform me that I do have (30) days to have Miles provide the necessary green sheet. Oh, and they confirmed that the car does not have to come back in, and they gave me the number of a field investigator if he doesn't cooperate. Mike Miles saw it my way. Oh, and not as if this is important, but since I generally just wrote the checks to "Miles," which is short for Miles Automotive, I guess he took that as permission to take the check to my bank and cash it. Tisk tisk, Mr. Miles. Petty as it is, this, in my opinion, is tax evasion. My opinion: Mike & Erik Miles are [bad words], and will lie, cheat, and rip you off in a heartbeat. The Father/Son team of Mike and Erik give you that great small town family owned old school business character that we miss so much with today's box stores...they are honest, reliable, professional, and affordable! Miles Automotive does great work i had to bring im my 2010 ford fusion twice and they got the two problem i had fixed in a day like in a two three hour period. He is a very experienced car/truck mechanic has never given me problems and is a quick at diagnosing complicated issues with engine, transmissions, and differentials. read more

I've known Mike miles and his father for 10 years at least and they are amazing they do great work it's been actually probably been longer than that. they do great work and if you need storage they are so reasonable although I don't know that I want to tell everyone that. it's just a great place to go and I just wanted to give them five stars read more

The worst customer service!! As a small business owner myself I always try to support other small businesses in the community. I have to say I have given this place many opportunities to make repairs and do my inspections but I just can not tolerate being treated with such rude and unprofessional behavior every single time... not once, not twice but this was the third time and the last!! It is places like this and the people that run them that give repair shops a bad name. At one point he said he could do a minor repair on my car and to just drop it off, when I did not hear from him over 24 hours later I was told he could not do the repair.... no phone call... nothing! Just let my car sit till I called. Then when I did not let him change the led light in my car for the inspection but did it myself and still brought my business back to him he refused saying my tint is too dark... really the same tint that you would have passed last week had I let you change the led light... really the tint that was inspected last year? Really the tint that was done legally at a dealership? And then to treat my son with such rude and unprofessional behavior? I believe when people SHOW you who they are believe them! I have used Miles Automotive for years and have only good things to say about this company. It sounds like there was a communication breakdown between the customer and Mike on the last post. I have my own business and know this happens even with the best intentions. Miles has always stayed late to help me with an issue, and they have always delivered the best service. I have had the brakes replaced on my BMW, tune ups and inspections at Miles. I have always been satisfied. I encourage anyone reading reviews online to consider that it is 10X more likely consumers write negative reviews than positive ones. I have taken my cars to be inspected for years. They are so nice and most of the time I have my crew of four kids with me. They talk to everyone and are very kind, and honest if they see something that we need to look at on ours cars. The service and expectations of performance have always been met when having car service done at Miles Automotive. They are knowledgeable, friendly and reasonably priced. My daughter also takes her vehicle there, and I have recommended many friends. They have all come back with compliments about the owners and service provided. After being "ripped-off" by National Tire & Battery for years, it was nice to finally find a good mechanic that is as well experienced as Mike. My son introduced me to The Miles (father and son). He has had his maintenance done on his vehicles for years. They started maintaining my vehicles about 4-5 years ago. They have done a little bit of everything for me. I usually drop off my vehicle and come back in a couple of days. They have it finished and at a fair price. I have never had to bring my vehicles back because something was not done correctly. I would recommend them highly. read more
