Greetings, I am a 75 year old, female senior citizen. I took my car 2016 Genesis in for the squealing of my brakes. I was given an appointment for the afternoon, because they had a lot of cars before me and I did not want to wait. I arrived at my appointed time. I was taken right in. They came out with the diagnosis and did not try to sell me anything. They cleaned the brakes and sent me on my way. Both gentlemen who helped me were kind and patient. If you want an honest mechanic and quality service go to Brake Master's in Pomona. I was very pleased. read more

Unfortunately, I have to change my review of this place. After coming here for the past decade or so, Brake Masters has done quite a lot wrong. I have a 2012 Mazda 6 which my son primarily uses to get to work and school. It's had to have quite a but of work done lately, as it's an older car. One issue we had to take care of last year was the alternator. We got it replaced here, only to have to get a new one just a few months later. Luckily, it was still under warranty right? Well, less than a year later we had to get it replaced, yet again. We went to a different shop and were told that the alternator looked rather worn for it only being less than a year old. It looked more like it was 5 years old. We also had them check the brakes as they were getting rather noisy. So, yea the brakes needed to be replaced because one of the rotors was the wrong size! Did I mention we got that rotor from Brake Masters too? Well we did, around the same time we got the alternator replaced. So, a few big screw ups there & they have lost my business. There are plenty of other auto shops in the area so do your due diligence. read more

Service was quick and fixed only what needed to be replaced. No additional or overcharging from what I could tell.

Excellent service. Quality work. I won't take my vehicle anywhere else. Their lifetime warranty on the pads is . These guys have taken care of my vehicles for years. read more

This is how all auto shops should be ran. I had the pleasure of interacting with Sergio (owner/mngr) and aside from professional customer service, he did a great job at keeping me in the loop every step of the way. I went in there for new brakes and they did find a couple other items that needed attention but he was very transparent on the urgency of the other items and will definitely be back to handle that with him. I felt taken care and they had WiFi/coffee and I was able to work from laptop in their lobby area. Thanks Sergio and team! read more

Been to this Brake Masters couple times now and the staff always does an amazing job. From simple oil changes, replacing brakes, to alignments 10/10 service. The prices aren't that bad for the work that gets done. The manager Sergio is very professional and has great customer. For the 2 mechanics they also have great customer service and are very fast went it come to job. Overall I highly recommend you stop by! read more

I would say you should be getting a second opinion before you get your car serviced here. The second place I went to said they were trying to scam me since I didn't need those services. It's also the little things that stand out. I was charged more than what the dealer charged to replace a battery in my key fob. Their battery lasted only 3 months, the one I had previously replaced from the dealer lasted 5 years. read more

Went in for brake inspection and had front brake pads replaced. Professional and great customer service thanks sergio

Complete scammers. First red flag should have have been all the receding hairlines. I'm not even surprised, if I had to look in the mirror and see you people everyday, I'd have a nasty incompetent attitude too. Don't come here unless you want to leave scammed, damage done to your vehicle, and several disrespectful conversions had. What a joke of a "business". Y'all are embarrassing read more

Thanks to Mgr Sergio and his staff for excellent service. Took my car in for an oil change . Fast professional service .

Had my rear brakes done on my Volvo. I had a verbal quote from a few weeks back and then talked to someone different when I needed them done. He honored the verbal quote and even took 50.00 off the final bill All in all - fast and good service - same as when I had my dad's truck done Thanks. read more

I had my oil changed yesterday at this store. I was quoted $93. When I came in to pick up my car the Bill was $112 I was told my car took more oil I came home and looked up my cars oil and NO my car does not take 7 quarts I called and he said "Oh I made a mistake". But would only take $10 off. Then I looked at my receipt and it said the charge was supposed to be $110. But was charged $112 on my credit card I called corporate to complain. I was told some one would get right back to me 2 1/2 days later and 3 calls nothing Then I was told they can't help me because this is a franchise DO NOT GO THERE FOR SERVICES read more

These guys are scammers. I came in to get my master brake cylinder replaced and they said they fixed it. Fast forward a few months later and my other mechanic says that I still need a new one. Don't waste your time with these shit heads. Wasted 500$ on that brake cylinder. DO NOT COME HERE. Go to quality auto across the street!!! read more

So, I'm leaving my second review for this place because they deserve it. I'm not sure why people are calling them scam artists. I had an issue come up, a reasonable issue from a previous fix I paid for, 3 weeks ago. They didn't try charging me more. They fixed the issue and my truck drives better. I'll definitely be going back. Definitely not scam artists. read more

Ruined my Alignment to my car. I was referred to this place with a coupon but I guess it was a scam

Scamming ass place, these reviews about them scamming are legit. They charged me for full synthetic for my car and while waiting i saw them put regular oil in my car tf is that shit!?!? not only that they have only one person who really knows what theyre doing and they take forever. The other guys only know basic shit. don't waste your time here. this place needs to shut down. read more

If you're looking to get your car fixed, DO NOT take your car to this place. This is the type of business where the owner has to fire everyone and start all over again. Trust me!! I came in to this place to get an alternator swap. These so called mechanics forgot to tighten the bolts on the alternator. That's a "simple mistake" that could have cost me a lot more. I don't leave any yelp reviews but I feel like I have to warn everyone about this place. read more

I didn't use the service, but I pulled in because there was a huge piece of metal embedded in my tire. The guy behind the counter said they didn't do tires, but he came out to look at it and then recommended a tire repair place to go to. Even though I wasn't their customer, I was treated like one. Great service. read more

Total con artists. Said they had a deal for what I needed. Even though that price was a little higher than I had thought I went for it. With my car torn apart the price kept climbing. I didn't understand the "deal" the price was easily over twice what I had agreed to. I pled being broke and said I would go back tomorrow with money. They signed me up for a loan program without my consent using my info. I took my car to another place with great reviews. They fixed it for lower than what this place was supposed to be and actually gave me some of that money back. I told them about this place and they were stunned. Seriously don't leave your car or personal info with these guys. read more

The store manager Johnny Cash was great! He didn't try to sell me anything unnecessary, Johnny was professional and honest. I received a $20 discount on a synthetic oil change on my 2016 Toyota Tacoma, which was $40 off the Dealership service quote. I was very satisfied with the service, in and out in 20 minutes. I called my wife and told her to get down here with her Rav4 and get an oil change . We're both due for brakes, I know we'll be doing business with Brake Masters. Thank you Johnny Cash, you're a stand up guy, no gimmicks or pressure I appreciate that. read more

They did a great job on my car. Had them replace my breaks, really liked the service would definitely recommend.

Had them replace my brakes and they did an amazing job good environment and fast service highly recommend

I've been here quite a few times. Oil changes, brakes, etc. Prices seem average for the most part but always check www.brakemasters.com for coupons first. The manager (Larry) is a nice enough guy, friendly, and has always been professional and courteous with me. Never had a problem with the quality of work done. Although, I did catch them once a year or two ago. I came in for an oil change and also asked them to rotate my tires. They didn't rotate them (I have small paint marks on my tires so I can tell), yet they tried to charge me for the tire rotation. I called them on it! This is the kind of shenanigans you have to closely watch out for because all auto service business's will try to take advantage of you one way or another. I've had my brakes done at other auto shops, and than immediately taken my car into Brake Masters for an oil change, and...... they still inform you that you need new brakes! Auto service shops are notorious at this. They will quote you a price and miraculously always find something else wrong with your car so they can attempt to extract even more $ from your wallet. You go in for one thing, they inspect your car, and than informed that you also need several other things done too. Yeah right. If you ever see the words "free inspection" just know that there is NO such thing as a "free inspection" of your car. They will always find a way to charge you somehow for that "free inspection". Auto service shops will attempt to squeeze every penny from you possible. Don't trust any of them. The auto service business is a corrupt and dishonest racket full of crooks. It's been that way since the invention of the automobile. Brake Masters included. Unfortunately, I can't change the industry. But what I can do...is spread the word to help educate younger people that haven't been alive long enough to understand just how crooked auto service shops really are. read more

Quality Service! Quality Customer Service! Great Prices! Went to Brake Masters (La Verne/400 Foothill) for my front and rear plus brake flush. They've done such an amazing job! Plus the customer service was Ace! Johnny the manager treated me like family, gave me a great deal, also added on the coupons from the site I forgot to download/print and went out of his way to make me super comfortable while I waited by giving me his office chair. My car was handled ASAP and the service was done in a timely manner. I learned there are a ton of great people out there providing great service and you don't have to go to the dealership for the "treated like cattle" experience and get nickel and dime'd. read more

They lied to us about the amount of time to just check the car to see what was wrong. Then when they did check it they quadruple the price of what repairs should have cost. We took the car somewhere else had it done at a much better cost with much better people working in the office. read more

The "Mechanic" was rude and disrespectful. Was yelling and huffing and puffing saying that I should have told him the electronics on my seat were not working properly. He moved the seat ALL the way back and lowered the back rest down as if he was going to go cruising on a Friday night in a lowrider. He said he had to be "comfortable". The "mechanic" was not much taller than me! The worse thing is that the Manager Larry Garcia didn't say anything to his employee. A+ customer service pal. STAY AWAY! read more

My brakes were grinding severely. Took my vehicle to this location on June 10, 2019. Diagnosed as rear pads/rotors needing replacement. Paid $388 for the repair.Car never rolled right after the repair and started hearing grinding and smelling burnt metal 3 weeks later. Returned July 11, 2019 and was diagnosed as calipers( which is one of the main components of the braking system) being the main reason for brakes and rotors being damaged. Instead of crediting me $388 for parts and labor, since the rotors/pads they installed 30 days earlier were completely destroyed(company policy of 90 WARRANTY PARTS AND LABOR...), they charged me AGAIN for WARRANTIED PARTS AND LABOR , directly related to their mistakes, PLUS the cost of new calipers/labor, totaling $800!!!!!!!!So, $800 +$388 = $1,188 FOR REAR BRAKES ONLY???!!!!.IM TAKING THESE GUYS TO COURT TO RECOVER MY LOSSES....PLEASE STAY CLEAR OF THESE SCAM ARTISTS. Went to get an oil change for my vehicle when I got home I realized that the mechanic who worked on my vehicle did not change the oil filter. I immediately called them and the manager said to bring it back . When I arrived the manager told the one who worked on my truck that he did not change the oil filter and he responded , they also have blue colored oil filters like the one that was in my truck , that was a lie, Pennzoil has yellow colored filters , I asked to see the old filter that was supposedly replaced but the manager told his worker just go ahead and change the filter ..lazy mechanic just didn't want to do the proper thing .
