I mostly wanted an apology and maybe a small credit towards my next service--not even the cost of the ticket, just something. Instead I was told by whoever answered the phone that they simply did not look at inspection stickers when working on cars, and that this was entirely my fault for not specifically asking for an inspection when I brought it in. (Despite the fact that, when I bring it in, I always expressly ask them to look and see if there's anything else it needs) They then hung up on me. This is simply an unacceptable way to treat a customer, both in its active refusal to provide good service by glancing at an inspection sticker and saying "hey, do you want us to perform this inspection that's due" and by, I repeat, hanging up on me. I cannot imagine any circumstance going forward where I would ever pick Midas over its many competitors in town, and I would strongly encourage anyone reading this review to take your business to someone who actually cares about their customers.

Mavis/Cole has reimbursed us for the full cost of the PSF replacement. The store and regional manager apologized for this happening and agreed it should not have been done. (I pointed out that I have a Mavis/Cole receipt from a couple years ago showing that they recommended changing the PSF just 6,000 miles after it had been done at the dealership, when obviously it was not needed--so I think this is an ongoing issue. Ended up being the fuel pump. (15 yr old Hyundai) Monro fixed it in one day. Very reasonable price and literally weeks before local dealership could have gotten to it.
