I have purchased two brand new bikes in under a year from Cycles 128. The first bike was a brand new 2017 Kawasaki Versys X, but it was at their sister dealership in Arlington (Cycles128 doesn't sell Kawasaki). My salesman at the time was Billy, and he was able to have the bike transferred from Arlington to Beverly for me, and I hadn't even put a deposit down on it. yet. This was based on a phone call I had made while on vacation in Costa Rica. Convenient! The whole process was easy, painless, and very relaxed. There was never any pressure or upselling, and it never felt predatory as vehicle sales so often are. Fast forward to just under a year later, and I decided to upgrade to a Suzuki VStrom 650. This time I had the great pleasure of dealing with Ellen Petrilli and Rick Brandano. Yet another chill, great experience. I told them right up front what I was looking for, and with that knowledge, they showed me other alternatives to consider but never discouraging me from my original goal. Their inventory is incredibly vast and a virtual candy store, and I was glad for the other options that were shown to me. I had my heart set on the VStrom, so we got down to business. Worth noting was a little hiccup on Suzuki's part, as their manufacturer website claimed that there were certain accessories included with the bike that tuned out not to be. Not a concern because Rick and C128 were on the case and miraculously got Suzuki to make good on their claim. They didn't have to do that, because most dealerships would predictably claim their hands were tied and just shrug it off. But not these guys. They totally prevailed and saved the day. That I will never forget. The numbers part of the operation was handled by Brad, with whom I had worked with on my prior purchase as well. Another great asset to the company. I now half-expect people to yell "Norm!" when I walk into the place now because I dealt with a lot of people and they're just a warm bunch. Just awesome.

I really like going in there an just chatting with them and other customers. Several months ago I was speaking with a gentleman that builds those "frankenbikes" (as I like to call them) that had to be over 10 feet high. He even asked me if I wanted to try it. That would have been fun but explaining to the emergency room doctor what happened would have been a story in and of itself. Whenever I am in Salem (a few times a year) I make sure to visit them. If you are into cycling Jerseys you have to get one from them. I have a few different ones from them and whenever I ride wearing one people are always asking me about the Witch on a Bicycle on the back of my Salem Cycle Jersey. Salem Cycle Jerseys are some of my favorite Jerseys.

I took a basic welding class to make a barn star at the Garrison Speed Shop in Mendon,…read moreMassachusetts. I have never welded before or used some of the tools and equipment required. The template pieces were all laid out, but that was it. Co-founder Luke had me read and sign all the releases first, and asked about my experience with welding etc. Being a Veteran myself, Luke as well, and the non-profit supporting Veterans and First Responders, he also made sure to ask me if loud noises or anything would bother me. Every step was explained and demonstrated before I was able to do it, and as nervous as I was at first, it quickly went away knowing he took my safety, the safety of others as well as their shop very seriously. Co-founder Ben also provided some muscle when I was unable to bend the metal myself. In just over 2 hours I had sanded, measured, re-measured, bent , hammered and welded together a really cool one of a kind 5-sided barn star. It was definitely something different to do and it was a really cool and fun experience. 5 stars !

Said "in stock" and available for pick up in Danvers Tuesday morning or seabrook Wednesday morning. (Danvers was closed Monday). I chose to pick up in seabrook Wednesday since we are in NH and couldn't get down to Danvers Tuesday anyway. My confirmation email said "ships from western cycle" to seabrook location. My receipt was from the Danvers location. I got a call Tuesday at 5:30pm from seabrook saying that they didn't have the bike I ordered in stock at either location. I explained what my confirmation email said and the very sympathetic employee from seabrook said he would call Danvers so see if they had put the bike aside without his knowledge. Danvers was already closed for the day so he offered to call and get back to me in the morning. 10:15 Wednesday I get a call from the owner, with a big attitude, telling me that they don't have the bike. Zero sympathy or compassion for me, the customer. He claims it was in seabrook and must have sold right before I ordered but doesn't know when. I was obviously upset, having ordered Monday and only finding out two days later that they sold me a bike they didn't have. The owner acted annoyed that he even had to call me and said "I don't know what to tell ya". He offered to cancel the order or order the bike (which would come in 7-10 business days), but we are leaving on vacation and needed a bike sooner. He said "sorry" like he was forced to, and was just overall not nice to me. I would recommend Buchika or Philbrick's for your bike needs. Philbricks went above and beyond and legit built a bike for us same day (normally a 2-4 day turn around) so we'd have it for vacation.

I dropped the bike off at 10am and it was done the same day so I only had to rent the uhaul trailer for a day. His prices blew the competition out of the water whether it be Harley themselves or other independent shops. I HIGHLY recommend them for both Harley and street bike upgrades and I will be going back to them in the future! Thanks again!
