I came in for the first time and was really impressed with the array of anime/animated/cartoon items that they had on display. The girl at the register greeted us and was super helpful in helping us trying to track down an out of stock item. She went above and beyond checking their inventory as well as online and then on top of that, checked other locations. Okay, so....what went well? Going into this store you hear all the deals on the store from the people out front and everyone is helpful and amazing customer service. I see an item at the front table and it's the last one...Monboo open box GOOD in a clear display. This guy looks tirelessly for stock and can't find it and says it's the only one we have! He said take it with you over to the register when your don shopping and ask the manager...Manager says NO DISCOUNT!!! Well, that wasn't even close to flexible or nice to put mildly! Anyway, I still took it...the gal that rang me up said look, the deal is buy one get one 50% off or 30% off your purchase and I'll ring it up both ways for you to see what your best deal is ok.so, I put 2 other items back in that I originally pulled out and that gal won my heart! 30% it was! Top it off...I went home that afternoon and checked your site and Monboo is 40% off!!! Why didn't Mr NO DISCOUNT MANAGER KNOW that?? Was just walking around the mall and ran into this store. It has a HUGE range of fun and unique goodies for all ages. The Disney collection of items is sooooo cute. I left with a villains backpack that I absolutely love. Our cashier was so sweet, kind, and funny, I wish I wrote her name down to put in on here. BoxLunch carries a myriad of pop culture clothing & merchandise, such as DBZ, Pokemon, Star Wars, Bob's Burgers etc. Somewhat similar to things you could find at Hot Topic, what sets these guys apart from their competitors is that they provide free meals by partnering with Feed America (per their website), hence their name BoxLunch. So when buying shit from here, I feel a little bit more gratification by knowing I'll indirectly be helping someone have something to eat. Glad to see this chain open up a location closer to me. read more

Let me start my story. 02/24/2019 Gabbie, original person that help us was so amazing and helpful. We have purchased mini bag pack that super over price. $69.90 each. Grandma willing to help with purchase so I have decided to purchase 2 for my 2 kids. One for $69.90 and second one was on sale on BoxLunch.com for 20% off so we decided to purchase both bag pack. Celeste (cashier) willing to match online price. My kids so happy with her new mini bag pack that they been wanting for last 6 months. 2 days later, 02/26/2019 same bag pack price drop from 20% to 30% online, we have not even uses it so we decided to bring it back and get credit. Then nightmare happen, we have Kevin helping us. He said company policy we could not return and match price with online offer. Now my question, so everyone that working there breaking company policy?? Because everyone allow to match price. Is Celeste broke company policy?? While we standing there and return this bag pack cashier next to us is working with someone and they are matching online price. Is something wrong with this picture?? I went with my daughter to look for Haunted Mansion Pops and she asked Amanda if they had them. There weren't any on the shelves. Amanda who was cashiering asked her co worker Justin to check in the back. After 15 minutes Justin came out with enough Pops for everyone in the store that wanted them. Celeste who was checking us out noticed that the box was torn and pointed it out and got us another one. Every one of the associates was so thoughtful, friendly, helpful and caring. I called This Riverside branch in regards to a product that they will be selling at BoxLunch in the next few days. Very typical call, a customer service representative answered the call very nicely and ask me what can she help me with. So I went on and ask her when you think this product will be arriving? She said "I am sorry we don't know" so I went on and asked her if she could look in the system to see maybe it is shipped and it's on its way to their store. She went on and said "sorry we can't check" I ask her if there is a Manager I can talk to maybe she might have more answers. She put me on a very short hold and the Manager Mari got on the phone with me. She was trying to be very professional and told me "I do apologize be we don't know have a way to look that up, just check our Instagram when we post it a day before that's how our customers know about our products" So I told her that is very strange (weird) because I just spoke to the Temecula branch and they told me that that product was shipped to them on the 17th and try to come to our store to purchase the product on Monday or maybe Tuesday". She went on a said "Well we are not that store and we cannot not check for you" I told her "So aren't in the same district as Temecula Boxlunch? They just help with this request, I am not asking for a lot, I am just asking for you to check your system" She didn't reply back "We are busy right now and won't be able to check for you" I ask her "OK, when can I call you to ask you? (keep in mind I had called that other branch and they gave me the information with in less than 5 min), she said "I don't know when you can call we are busy, maybe you can call back Monday or maybe Tuesday I really can't tell you when to call back". So I said "OK do you have the Corporate number I can call maybe they might have an idea when that product will arrive?" she said "No, you could go on the Internet and get that phone number". All in all I felt that this service was non informative Customer Service and I never experience that type of customer Service at BoxLunch. I was in the store today and I was helped by an employee named Kevin. He was so helpful and informative and helped me and my friend find several exclusive pops I couldn't find anywhere else :) He searched the whole wall of pops and was so friendly while doing so. I've been to another BoxLunch store and although every store is pretty cool and the staff is awesome, this store in particular is by far the best customer service I've recieved from ANY store, period. The best part about my experience is the fact that I didn't even step a foot inside. A gentleman named Josh was not only helpful but did everything possible to assist me in anyway he could.
