First call went well, Meg was very energetic and made me feel I could trust her with the look I was going for with the bouquets. I had a very tight budget as we were well over our overall wedding budget. I sent photos to Meg of what I was looking for, unfortunately I couldn't find a yellow rose photo that I was after. I told Meg dark yellow and she came through! The shade of yellow was perfect!! It matched the groomsmen's pocket squares. As for my bouquet, I was very specific of what I wanted. A dark red, rounded bouquet. When I saw my bouquet, it was more than I had expected and imagined it would look like!! We had one last call the week of the wedding in case we had any changes, Meg had the idea of brining the bouquets to the hotel. I told her I'll have my bridesmaids meet her at the lobby. All the florist websites were charging ridiculous prices, and a lot of people didn't receive the exact bouquet that they ordered when ordering online. I stumbled upon Maria's Amor's Instagram page and found them to be perfect! Compared to all the other florists that I contacted via social media, they were also the only ones that responded promptly. After I sent them a sample picture of what I wanted, they were able to 'freestyle' the bouquet and customize the colors. The price that they gave me was also reasonable, and they were extremely flexible with the pickup time! After sending them a deposit, everything was set, and the entire process was crazy smooth. The interior of the shop was so cute, and they have tons of extra items to go along with your bouquet! They also have a rack of premade bouquets with set prices if you ever need one last-minute for a certain occasion. The worker who helped me out was so polite and friendly, which made the pickup process very easy. It's located on Harvard St, which has a couple of other shops but limited parking spaces. Unfortunately, the experience at checkout completely changed my impression. The cashier was not friendly and seemed impatient, which made the process uncomfortable and disappointing. The nursery does offer fair pricing and a wide selection of plants, which I appreciated. However, customer service--especially at checkout--is just as important. Because of this experience, I will likely choose to shop somewhere else next time.
