The Gardener's Cottage is nicely decorated with vast array of eclectic merchandise including assorted collection of Temecula souvenirs, personalized name frames, decor for the garden, soaps, candles and jewelry galore, heartfelt cards and humourous signs, and so much more! The prices were reasonable. The lady at the front desk was very polite and friendly. She greeted us with a warm smile. The interior is festively decorated for Christmas and chock full of a variety of unique gifts like jewelry and items for children. It is a little pricey but not over the top. I spoke with Kelly, who was working at the counter. She was so friendly, welcoming, and sweet and we chatted for a bit. She explained that they also have classes for crafts like jewelry making & candle making. It's something I'm interested in exploring further. She let me know that Angie owned the shop and there were challenges when the pandemic hit. I'm so heartbroken that so many small businesses were adversely impacted. I love supporting small businesses. Like I told Kelly small businesses are the backbone of the American economy. They have a prayer request wall. I submitted a request along with the myriad of requests already hanging. So much prayer needed in these times. I thought that is so cool & gracious on the shop owner's part. What a blessing! You can tell that children find the shop magical! They were awestruck by many of the items on display. Hearing their squeals of delight brought joy to my ears & warmth to my heart. It is a feast for the eyes. It's decorated so tastefully, it's organized, clean and bright. I couldn't help myself and made a few select purchases for gift giving. Don't take my word for it! The service was amazing- they were so sweet and I asked about how long they have been there and she said 7 years, which I was amazed by- she said that they started as a workshop place and expanded their gift shop but they do still offer classes. We can't wait to go participate. Everything was adorable. It is a bit pricey, but I love supporting small local businesses, and can't wait to go back when I need special gifts or just something cute. I will drive 2hrs once I run out of my Lavender and Lemon lotion. It is THE best. I keep a smaller lavender lotion in my house but the Lavender and Lemon Lotion I keep in my car (though the bottle does expand in the heat, so I be sure to take it out for a breather). It smells so good! HIGHLY recommend fo lavender fans. For me, the scent calms me down in traffic and I love the smell on my skin. It lingers on my skin all day and keeps my skin soft hydrated. There are other products I have not tried and it is a very cute small-business. The store is small, but it has a great selection of body care and home fragrance items many of which are of course fragranced with lavender. I had to get some liquid hand soap and some room spray. She got a feel for my vibe, my wedding colors, matched ribbons (thick for my bouquet and thin for bows on our wedding party single stem roses) clarified anything I didn't want (I'm allergic to Lillies!) any thing I knew I had to have (Red, Green, Gold... and pine cones) I got gold glitter pine cones!!! I didn't even know that was an option! I put a lot of faith in the skill and creativity of the designer. And I ended up with exactly what I wanted but was unable to put into words myself.
