Upon entering, I was not greeted at all. An employee at the front looked at me, and just kept going about her business. I stood next to her, trying to locate the item, and not once did she even ask if I needed help. I was annoyed at that point, and continued looking for the item. I found it and asked the employee at the front if they could cancel my order. Long story short, there is a big disconnect between online orders and the actual store. Sometimes they do not get notified of any online orders. I was told the online order system is inefficient and not like what you would expect when ordering online to store pickup items at big retail stores. They managed to pull my online order, so I didn't need to call customer service to have them cancel my online order. I will say that the 3 women at the registers who helped me were very nice and did not get annoyed about the situation. They were very engaging and I really appreciated their help. One of the employees, Vicky, is truly an angel. She walked with me towards the exit, and then stopped to show me books they sell, where you can record your voice and pass the book on to loved ones. She really got me thinking about how I take for granted the fact that I still have my loved ones. She wasn't trying to sell me the item, but she only brought it up because she has recently lost a loved one. Her story was very touching. Overall, the store was very clean and organized. Yes, I had a bad experience with that one rude employee who didn't acknowledge my existence or help me, but the help I received from the other ladies had made up for it.

She goes on to say the lines have been crazy and people line-up everywhere they can't figure out where the line starts, like children and they are dealing with ADULTS... that they need to TEACH ADULTS TO BE ADULTS ..... and it went on. I was in awe... looked around and those waiting in line pretended they didn't hear anything, a man walked out, others around me ignored her and a lady next to me and I just stared at each other and said we couldn't believe she was expressing that way loudly about the customers and no one told her to "shut up." Other employees just listened and 2 engaged but with a very low voice. Now I was done within 5 minutes, got in line right next to the sign that read "line starts here" and a cashier was looking around to see who was next and called in a lady that was looking for the line - now the customer saw me waiting and apologized, I said "no problem" but did point to the sign to the cashier. I wouldn't have been petty if she (cashier) hadn't been one of the employees that engaged with the one complaining earlier.

The service is very special and unique. The stores are always clean and well stocked. There isn't a lot of useless items or extra added depth of similar product. I mean, how many blueberry jams do you really need? Hot sauce in a bottle? I think a 3 or 4 options is probably sufficient. It's succinct, to the point, and uncluttered and easy to navigate. I really dig the produce cause it's always attractive and I look for the sale items. I prefer the USA items as opposed to imported so I pay attention to the labels. I also have signed up for specials and accumulative points for discounts, which is very easy to do and it keeps you in the loop. Each time you buy your groceries, have your barcode scanned to keep a record. I keep it in my phone with easy access. You will also NOT encounter five or six different prices on each item like some of the big chain stores practice! You know, those HUGE conglomerates! I've had to walk out of those stores cause I'm so confused. Internet price, member price, E price, ad price, radio price, TV price, buy 6 unit price, etc. etc. etc. : Every time I pick up a can of beans I'm looking for Bob Barker in aisle seven! The bakery goods are a nice delight, and if you get there early in the morning you might find some half price items that didn't sell the day before. There's also a sandwich shop and I'm told you can get a sandwich as low as $5.00? I'm not sure if that's true. I've never done it, but that's what some folks have told me. So, you might have to check for yourself. There are those bulk bins for nuts, coffee, candies, dried fruit, and more by the pound $. There's a limited beer section but nicely curated along with a decent selection of wines. This is one area that needs improvement in my opinion. It would be nice if there was more of a beer selection and the ability to buy any single can? I believe this works and they'll always sell out anyway. Or maybe they don't want to dedicate the space? They also have a meat department, (which I stay away from) but those who do partake would enjoy I'm sure. (I refer to these areas as animal cemeteries.) I look for a lot of the vegetarian items such as plant based desserts, and faux dairy items that are actually plant based. Ie: plant butter (which is delicious) and coconut milk for example (my favorite when it comes to something to pour on your granola). I try to buy the unsalted ones which are so good for burritos. You can find fresh flowers daily to bring to your sweetheart or maybe if you're looking for one? There are an amazing amount of coffee beans in nice plexiglass bins sold by the pound with a commercial grinder available to "chop it up" to save you the trouble at home. Parking is always accessible, and there are other intriguing businesses in this little "mini mall" over there off of Newport. If you haven't been, get on over there! So gross. There wasn't even a good selection at this store. Two of the squashes that had roots came from Canyon Hills lake Elsinore. Two separate locations and both had rotten spaghetti squashes. Dinner was ruined! 16 bucks down the drain.
