This review is long overdue as I'm one of the original members of this gym. I've done combat sports before (Muay Thai and MMA) and as I've gotten older I've wanted a way to stay in shape that's familiar and approachable and I'm happy to say Boxing RX is just the place I was looking for! Like most gyms, the trainers are key and Boxing RX has some great trainers (Haik, Kyla, Jamie, Ast and Andrew are phenomenal) who are patient and not only teach you the basics (punching, footwork, defense,) but ensure that you understand those fundamentals and apply them to the daily workouts. There's also a nice mix with the workouts as it's not all about boxing but staying in shape with some intense cardio, ab work and light lifting. I love the variety of workouts and they keep me coming back for more. And with new owners recently, the gym equipment continues to be upgraded and the owners take feedback from gym members seriously which is super refreshing. Last, the folks who workout here are really a great group who welcome newcomers with open arms. There's no attitudes or egos here, just the desire to workout hard and have fun while doing so. Great, sweaty class! Kyla is fantastic - I really enjoy her programming. Class starts with a quick warm-up, then a 15 minute conditioning set, followed by 4-5 boxing rounds on the bag (also some mitts in between). Me and my husband were looking for a gym in Glendale to get more in shape and create better healthy habits. We were also very curious about boxing. We met with Jamie and he took really great care of us, created a really nice roadmap for success, helped us understand the benefits of what boxing can do in ways we never would have thought were possible! I had my son in the kids class here. It was just mediocre, none of the kids had fun and they were yelled at the whole time. The coach never inspired them to like to box. My son begged us to let him stop the class, when we tried to, they make it impossible to get out of the contract. We had to hand deliver a letter to the staff because they wouldn't confirm they received it. And then we still got another charge a month later. This is the only boxing gym that doesn't list pricing on their website so it seems shady to me. I was interested after seeing an ad on fb but I don't sign up to things through Fb. I go directly to their site and there's no information on pricing. You see, other sites list pricing so we don't want to waste our time and end up getting harassed by sales people. Luckily I found another boxing gym who had nothing to hide and they offer simple options to pay per visit or packages without pressure. I actually gave 2stars for the concept but if you don't modify your website and system to be customer friendly then I'd keep the other stars and give them to other gyms. read more

I've been going here for years, and it's been great! The trainers are very supportive and are always easy to talk to. Drove by this place and decided to call them for more information because their website doesn't have it. They only have information regarding their other location. Lady who called me back was nice but getting information from her was painful. She kept asking for me to go in and chat with them 1:1 but I said at this point, I just want to know the schedule and price. After some cajoling, she said they didn't have a schedule to send over, but she verbally told me what they offer. Okay, fine. When I asked for pricing, she said they first needed to know my goals. Lady, my goal is to find out how much you charge! I said before I begin discussing goals, I'd like to know whether the classes work with my schedule and whether the price fits into my budget. She proceeded to say that before she could discuss price she needed to find out my goals. That I would need to come in. Complete waste of time. Whoever is running their sales is doing a terrible job. A business shouldn't be hiding the ball about basic information. I don't want to discuss my past, or meet with you in person BEFORE I EVEN SIGN UP! Ridiculous. Hung up the phone as I hate it when I am being sold to in such a shady way. Surprised they didn't offer to sell me an extended auto warranty. read more

I did a 5 session trial and signed up for the 8 week transformation challenge. My coach Nicole is amazing and fun she pushes me while making sure I am doing every exercise with the right form and pace. The owner Jaime was the first one to train me in my trail and he is great and compassionate he also made it easy for me to sign up with flexibility in payments and appointments. Have been taking classes here a few times a week for about a month so far. I saw their ad on Instagram and they said to come in to find out more. First off I am really enjoying the classes and the instructors (I've met 3) and the owner - they are all great vibes. Zero regrets. Even though it's boxing, it doesn't feel intimidating. Parking is decent and free on the street and it's a low key area to get in and out of. Everyone is just there to work and get stronger, and I was surprised to find a lot of other women in the classes as well. That said, I can relate to the other review in that I initially just wanted some basic info and didn't really appreciate having to get a pitch for a whole membership plan before even trying a class. I hope as this place gets more established they will make it easier for casually interested people to check it out or maybe join ClassPass app or something. I would refer more people if I felt like they could just come drop in for a class but it's not really set up that way at the moment, the studio has its own private app for joining your classes and there isn't a full time on-site membership office so you need to schedule to speak with someone. All that said, I hope that this place adds more mid-morning & midday classes because I would love to have more options. Right now there are mostly early mornings and evening classes and a couple of days at noon, but I think they are still adapting as more people join. Compared to other fitness programs I have done, it is maybe most similar to a kickboxing studio I went to for a while. The pricing is comparable to other specialty studios/gyms and they also offer private training sessions. Classes are just under an hour. We do a warm up with movement like jump ropes and shadow boxing then several boxing combinations in a circuit style on the bags and other routines of full body strength and cardio moves using kettle bells, medicine balls, and your own body weight. Everyone brings hand wraps and boxing gloves. You don't have to do actual ring boxing/sparring to enjoy this gym but I think they also sometimes do special workshops. I like this workout because it feels practical, simple, stress-relieving - it's full body engaging and challenging but not mentally complicated to keep up. read more

shadiest place ever. do not reach out to them if you see their ad, they will harass you for weeks. all of the negative reviews are true and i wish i saw them before reaching out. they have no information on their website and if you call them they say you have to drive in for a 1 on 1... i don't want to drive all the way over there to get information that can easily be emailed to me so i told them it wasn't going to work out. i was harassed with texts and calls for two weeks it honestly was creepy! i had to straight up tell them to leave me alone. this place seems like a scam from what the other reviews say. save your time and money don't reach out to them because they will not leave you alone read more

Be aware this gym uses coercive and predatory practices to sign people up and make it impossible to quit. I was led to believe the plans went month to month - nobody tells you otherwise, and the terms and conditions don't list a timeframe. I'm disabled and had a financial emergency due to unexpected medical bills. I was told discontinuing the membership wasn't possible because the contract was for (six months? a year? I'm still not sure because the gym has no transparency.) I was eventually told leaving would only be possible by paying two months and a $100 fee. The fact that I'm disabled and in a crisis didn't stop the gym from taking the money. Go workout anywhere else. read more
