This time we decided to eat at the Atlanta location and the vibe was just as chill with a nice cozy fall vibe. The music was just right as it pulls you back to being in your own living room with the 90s R&B playing in the background. We started with peach and pineapple lemonades, followed by the fruit plate before our breakfast entrees. The food truly tasted as good as it looks. Im not a grits girl at all, but I had to try it because the presentation was so esthetically pleasing. I was not disappointed with the combination of fried, and smooth textures and great flavor. The sauce they poured over the grits had all the flavoring needed to take your taste buds on a trip. Then there's the vanilla bean waffle with colossal butterflied fried shrimp. I live for this dish back in N.Y., so this is always a go to meal for me! The shrimp taste so good with a saltiness that brings out the vanilla bean taste of the waffle. Definitely try it out whenever you're in town & remember to make a reservation so you don't have to wait. Paid parking on the side of the building .

They don't have cocktails but there were some tasty mocktails on the menu. My fish and grits came with crawfish and salmon which was perfectly cooked, the grits were so tasty and filling, next we had the crab and crawfish mac and cheese which was also very tasty and delicious, and finally we ordered the fried chicken tacos which were giant and extremely tasty! All in all the food was better than we imagined, there were a couple aesthetic things that could've been improved but it looks like the staff was a bit unorganized in getting the food out, possibly due to a spill or accident that seemed to have happened right before we got there. Bar seating left my glutes and hamstrings a little sore, so hopefully there will be more comfortable seats (and alcohol!) the next time we visit. They were out of a few staple items but all the patrons seemed to be happy with their orders. *Note- Atlanta restaurant with grass walls, fairly cheap parking nearby, mostly friendly staff, no cocktails but the food is delicious! We'll definitely be back!

A friend recommended this new spot because they offer $1.50 oysters and other happy hour specials on Thursdays. There were four of us in our party. While I didn't partake in the oysters, my group ordered them plate after plate and genuinely loved them. Our server (whose name escapes me) seemed overwhelmed. She took our drink orders, and despite the hefty $17 price tag, I ordered off the specialty cocktail menu. I chose the lychee spiked lemonade, but it tasted exclusively like sweet lemonade with zero alcohol......plus, it was the skinniest drink I've ever seen in my life. For my main, I ordered the honey-glazed lamb chops cooked medium. Three chops came out: one was very large and undercooked (more like medium-rare), which wasn't to my liking, though the flavor itself was good. The other two were cooked well-done, but by that point, we had already waited long enough for our drinks and food. The meal came with mashed potatoes, which were pretty decent, alongside a very underwhelming portion of broccoli. The vibe and atmosphere were nice, but I'm not sure I'd return. That said, it definitely seems like a great spot for oyster lovers.

The space is clean but not sterile: exposed brick, warm wood, and a bar that glows like it wants you to linger. *The food* skips the tired "burgers and mac" checklist. Think short rib agnolotti with smoked corn puree, charred broccolini with miso-garlic butter, and a fried chicken sandwich that somehow stays crisp under a jalapeño honey glaze. Portions are generous without being wasteful, and everything tastes intentional like the kitchen tested it 10 times before it hit the menu. *The cocktails are the real flex.* The menu changes seasonally, but the bar team leans into flavor over gimmicks. I tried the *Oaxacan Old Fashioned* with mezcal, mole bitters, and orange peel that's torched tableside. Smoky, slightly sweet, zero gimmick. My friend went for the *Cucumber Basil Gimlet* and said it tasted like summer in a glass. No sugary syrup bombs here. Bartenders actually explain what's in your drink if you ask, and they're good at steering you if you're unsure. Service hit the sweet spot between attentive and relaxed. Water refills showed up without hovering, and the server knew the menu well enough to call out what's spicy, what's rich, and what's worth splitting. It feels like a place locals will become regulars at, but it's good enough to bring out-of-town friends to. Creative without being precious, tasty without being safe. Sorry I didn't take pictures,

Everything I've tried on the menu has been delicious. My only complaint is that I wish the restaurant was a little bigger because it can feel a bit cramped inside. Other than that, the service and food are consistently excellent. This visit, I ordered the seafood dip, and it was absolutely amazing. For my entrée, I had the steak with fries and a Caesar salad. The steak was perfectly cooked, well-seasoned, and full of flavor. My sister ordered the croffle flight along with the mac and cheese and grits, and she thoroughly enjoyed both. This was my second visit, and I'll definitely be back for a third. It's hard to find a restaurant that's this consistent, but Crescent City Kitchen delivers every time!

I visited on a Sunday, and while I completely understand that the kitchen was overwhelmed with orders, I noticed several plates sitting under the food warmer for quite some time. Since I was seated at the bar, I also had a clear view of the kitchen staff and waiters arguing and yelling at each other about the overflow of orders. It was honestly pretty unprofessional to witness as a customer. I definitely think this restaurant could benefit from better teamwork, communication, and a more organized system for handling busy periods. It would help everything run more smoothly and hopefully cut down on wait times. The restaurant itself is also pretty small, so don't come expecting a spacious or fancy dining experience. But honestly, I don't come here for the aesthetic. I come here to EAT GOOD, and the food never disappoints! Overall, the food keeps me coming back, but there's definitely room for improvement when it comes to service and organization.

Stayed in Midtown for the weekend and wanted to find a great brunch spot without venturing too far…read more After hearing great things about 5Church, we decided to give it a try, and it definitely lived up to the hype. We visited on a Saturday afternoon and were immediately greeted by a friendly host who seated us quickly. Our server was incredibly kind, attentive, and accommodating, providing excellent service throughout our visit. To start, we ordered the Sushi Tots, PEI Mussels, and Arugula Salad. Each dish was flavorful, fresh, and expertly prepared. For our entrées, we tried the Cacio e Pepe, Chicken and Waffles, 5Church Lamb Burger, and Hanger Steak. Every single dish exceeded expectations. The flavors were on point, the portions were satisfying, and there honestly wasn't a single item we would hesitate to order again. From the welcoming atmosphere and outstanding service to the delicious food, our experience was exceptional from start to finish. I have nothing but positive things to say about 5Church and can't wait to return the next time I'm in the area to explore more of the menu.

I chose 5Church Midtown for a date because I expected it to be a nice, romantic dining experience. Unfortunately, it was anything but that. When we arrived, the restaurant appeared to have plenty of available seating and could not have had more than approximately 20 guests. Despite this, we were seated at the very back of the restaurant next to a curtain. After being seated, we waited about 20 minutes before anyone greeted us. We were eventually told that we had both a waiter and an assistant waiter. The assistant waiter never came to our table, and our waiter, who appeared to only have two other tables, was consistently nowhere to be found. It took another 15 minutes just to order drinks. When the drinks finally arrived, they were extremely sweet and did not taste as though they contained the alcohol they were supposed to have. We did not drink them and sent them back. Our waiter then told us they were out of the particular alcohol needed for the drinks. That immediately raised another question: Why serve us the drinks in the first place if you did not have the alcohol required to make them properly? We ordered different drinks, and unfortunately, those were not right either. This time, they tasted as though someone had simply poured an excessive amount of straight alcohol into them, with very little of the flavor the drinks were supposed to have. Then came the food. We ordered a pasta dish and a chicken dish, and it took approximately 45 minutes for the food to arrive. After waiting that long, the pasta was undercooked, while the chicken was overcooked and extremely dry. Getting our waiter's attention to address the food was another challenge. We finally caught him as he happened to be walking behind the curtain near our table. We explained our concerns, and he eventually brought over the night manager, Mary. Mary apologized for the drinks and initially offered to remove them from the bill. We then explained that the food was also not acceptable. At first, her response was essentially that she could take the drinks off. I finally asked, "Would you eat this?" At that point, the condition of the food, particularly how dry the chicken was, was obvious. What made the situation even more confusing was that we were then told that the waiter had gotten the drink situation wrong. Mary explained that she was also the bar manager and that they DID have the alcohol we had supposedly been told they were out of. She said she did not understand why the drinks had not been made correctly. Ultimately, Mary told us that she would comp the entire check and that we would not have to pay for anything, which I appreciated. However, she still brought us the check to show us what the bill would have been. After everything we had experienced--the long waits, poor service, incorrectly made drinks, undercooked pasta, and dry, overcooked chicken--I honestly did not understand the purpose of showing us how much the meal would have cost. It felt like adding insult to injury. I understand that every restaurant can have an off night. A mistake with a drink or a dish can happen. But this was not one isolated mistake. From the moment we were seated until the moment we left, there were problems with the service, drinks, food, communication, and overall handling of the experience. What was supposed to be a nice date night turned into an extremely disappointing dining experience. Unfortunately, based on what we experienced, I cannot see myself returning to 5Church Midtown.

And those hush puppies were absolutely delicious. I'd literally come back for those. I came here on a whim and there was no wait. Parking was easy to find since there's a private parking lot specifically for the restaurant in the back. To start, I got the Bayou Fog Cutter as my drink. The waitress really hyped it up and I was excited to try but it ended up not being my cup of tea so I opted for the Roula Mule Ah which she said was a version of a Moscow Mule and those I like. She said she had to keep the drink at the original price although it was cheaper which was fine cause I want something I can enjoy. It probably had more to do with her tip which FYI, is already included in your bill. An automatic 20 percent. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try and she suggested a few items like the shrimp po boy, broccoli, chicken bites and étouffée. After reading a few reviews, I got the blackened catfish bang mi. It was good. Just a regular fish sandwich. The star of the show was the hush puppies. People raved about them in their reviews and they did not disappoint. They give a good serving of em too; like 10-12. And they're bite sized. If they were staying open, I'd definitely come back.
