These guys are fantastic! We had our Samsung dryer squealing like crazy to the point we didn't want to even use it. The technician came out to our house the next day after I had called. Got right to work and knew exactly what the fix was and had the parts on hand. The best part of the whole visit was his interaction with my 8 year old son. My son was interested in what the technician was doing and the technician was super inclusive on letting our son watch and even help! Really great to experience normal and fun people making a simple repair into a fun experience. We certainly know who our first call will be with any other appliance repairs. The dryer purrs quietly now. Saved us from buying another dryer! read more

I called for service on our refrigerator and was able to get a same day appointment. Alex was super helpful. He was able to diagnose the problem (compressor had gone out) and recommended we consider purchasing a new appliance due to the cost of trying to replace the part. He then contacted a nearby appliance store to get information on availability of a new fridge. That kind of "above and beyond" service is hard to find these days. I appreciate both the prompt service and the honesty regarding the value of repair vs. replacement. read more

Called for a service call on my dryer. They asked appropriate questions and I gave them appropriate answers. They also stated their call out fee and how it would be applied to repair. Appointment was scheduled, a call the day before as a reminder and another call when theTech was on his way. He was on site for about 10 minutes. Problem solved. They SPECIALIZE in Kitchen and LAUNDRY Appliances so no guessing. Great service and will continue to use & recommend them. I was referred to them by EDWARDS ELECTRIC, another fine local business that knows what they are doing. read more

I was referred to Bowman's Appliance Repair for my dryer. Jayden came out on time and diagnosed and repaired it. Exceptional service by this polite young man. I will definitely use them again when needed! 5 stars all the way read more

Emailed them a bunch of times and received a reply telling me to call them. Apparently doing business via email is too difficult. Called ... left messages, called some more. No response. Must be nice to not need business. Can't tell you if they are capable of handling any repairs, because we can't even get them to respond to a phone call that they requested! read more

We are so impressed with Bowman's Appliance Repair. We've had many contractors come to our house with the popular sucker line "I work by the job not by the hour". You won't get that line from Alex - everything about the work he does or is about to do is explained with crystal clarity. When you see him work, you know there is a professional in the house. If you call him - you are getting the best man for the job at a fair price! JM Camino, CA read more

Called this firm to fix our broken dryer. Needed six days to schedule. Alex and Jayden showed up on time, provided us with an estimate, and the work was done in half an hour. The dryer needed a new heating element. There is a $100 service fee which goes toward the bill if they get the job after the estimate. The price point is high which might scare away some customers. Losing one star for the long scheduling time and the high price. read more

Our LG dishwasher quit working after just 1 year. we tried everything we knew to fix it, but to no avail. We called Bowmans to explain our issue and then scheduled an appointment. The owner came out with an apprentice. He was patient and explained what he was doing and why. After about 15 minutes, he knew what was wrong. The drain pump went out. He ordered the part and two days later he came back and installed it. Yay!! My dishwasher is working again!! The owners are a wonderful team. We highly recommend this company. We felt they were honest and reliable and we loved supporting a local family owned business. Thank you. read more

They were fast, friendly and knowledgeable on all appliance brands. Alex provided great tips and suggestions on important task and adjustments to how we use the appliances. The repairman told us that he was uncomfortable doing the necessary work to fix our stove. He told us to either stop using the faulty burner or purchase a new stove. After we were given the part numbers to fix our stove, WE needed to search for the parts to fix our Thermidor stove. After finding and receiving the parts, we ultimately had to call a company from Sacramento who knew how to perform the necessary repairs using the parts that we had ordered. Fortunately, our stove is now fixed. read more

Bowman's has taken care of replacing a control board for our Bosch microwave and a broken lid ion our LG Sidekick pedestal washing machine this month. Apparently envious of the attention, the main LG washer's control board died over the weekend. I'm looking forward to seeing the very competent Alex and Kevin again very soon! read more

We are very happy with the service we received from Alex to repair our oven. He came out, diagnosed the problem, got the replacement part, and returned to install it all very quickly and professionally. read more

Bowman's appliance have the NICEST people ever. They fit us in quickly when our washer died! I recommend them!!

We "inherited" a refrigerator with the purchase of our home. The freezer door, a pull-out drawer, was jammed and only allowed an opening of about 8 inches. The previous owners said they were quoted a repair cost close to the cost of a new refrigerator. Ryan came out today and repaired the drawer...it was jammed. No parts were required! It was simply the charge of a service call! Bowmans Appliance Service R O C K S ! (-: read more

Alex Bowman is the best. However, just like having to wait for a seat in a busy restaurant, you may have to wait for a spot on his calendar. He's busy, and that's a good sign. read more

On-time and Great communication and easonable prices... A++++ and this app also works great too...

I pulled all the hoses couldn't find a clog and that was about the extent of my DIY ability. Called Bowmans after asking for recommendations on fb. Idk if Alex is their main dude but he rolled through asked the appropriate questions and had that Kenmore elite dishwasher fixed in no time. Professional, prompt and polite. I hesitate to give 5 stars....but these cats are cool asf read more

Bowmans Appliance Service came to my house to repair my dishwasher, which had an inoperative heating element. I also surprised them by asking them to diagnose a problem in my microwave so I could decide whether to repair or replace it. They said that the microwave diagnosis would cost $45. I said go for it. They diagnosed it within 5 minutes, so they didn't charge me for it, which was a pleasant surprise. (I decided to replace my microwave based on what they said) The dishwasher repair went smoothly and the fee was very reasonable, so I'm very happy that I called them, and will do so again. read more

What seemed like a complicated refrigerator issue was so simple for Alex, he guessed what it was before even looking at it. He was right. Quick and easy repair, and very professional. read more

Bowman's is amazing. Great, honest service. I will always go back to them when need be and won't hesitate to recommend them to others.

I have nothing but good to say about Bowman's Appliance Repair. Two times in the last four years a service rep has been sent out to oil and adjust a wonky front-load washer door. Always timely and affordable. Beats having to replace an expensive appliance! read more

I am so pleased with Bowman's Appliance. Fantastic customer service from the onset. Vanessa was very accessible through phone and messaging. She even helped me troubleshoot to see if there was a solution that I could use to fix my washer without them coming out. NO CHARGE! I could tell that her main priority was helping me and not profit. We ended up needing to have them fix our washer and had full confidence that they were honest and fair. I highly recommend Bowman's for any and all appliance repair. Thanks! read more

Very happy with Bowmans Appliance. Our dryer started smoking one evening, and Alex came out and immediately found the problem. He was able to fix it the same day with parts I already had and was in and out in about an hour. The service call and repair fee were very reasonable, and we're happy to be able to dry our laundry again. Will definitely recommend Bowman's to all of our friends and family! read more

They came out to evaluate and fix my fridge. Turns out the cost to fix it wasn't worth the repair but they gave me honest feedback where some other repair people would have tried to convince me to spend big to fix it. also very professional and friendly. Purchased a new dryer and need to have it converted for propane use. Called and made an appointment a week ago. 1/2 hour prior to the scheduled appointment they called and said the technician does not service our part of the city. The have had the address this entire time and if they don't service an area, they could have called earlier or even verified at the time of the setting of the appointment. 1 week without a dryer and I have to find another place that will do the service. read more

We live in Placerville. I called Bowman for a repair on my stove. The recording said that they would get back to us within 24 hours. However 72 hours later i was still waiting. So I went online and filled out their appointment request. So here i am 72 hours later and still no response. Now if you don't want my business at least have the decency to call and say so. I am very disappointed with a company that so highly recommended. Definitely a Zero! read more

I left a message for them after-hours on Thursday (along with a few other places) and Bowman's was the first to get back to me Friday morning -- and was able to send someone out "between 11 and 3." Alex showed up at 11 almost exactly, listened to our issue with our fridge/freezer, explained the $79 fee (good for 30 days), and got to work. He was knowledgeable and personable, and may or may not have fixed the problem (ice maker being weird and it'll have to run awhile to see if the problem is resolved or not). Cleaned up after himself and got it all put back together with an explanation of how we're going to see if the problem is fixed or not. If not, they'll probably have to come back with a new ice maker. Overall we felt we were treated fairly and respectfully. Keeping their number on hand, although I hope we never need to call them again. read more

Alex was awesome! Highly professional, efficient, communicative, and overall a very nice guy. Will be calling again for future repair needs.

Excellent customer service and they were timely. Dryer stopped working and I called Samsung service. The response from Samsung was that it would take at least a week to make a service call.
