Can't believe it's been 3 years since I've been here. It's located in a strip mall close to a Thai restaurant, UPS store, Orange Theory, nail salon, massage shop. I walked from the Marriott close by. They did have plenty of parking. There's only a few tables inside and two tables outside. The menu is pretty self explanatory but they answered all my questions when asked. I was told everything on the menu was gluten free. I got the 16 oz berry banana smoothie with almond milk cost was $9.95. I noticed it was $6.95 3 years ago. The service was fast and efficient. I can't recommend this place enough! Everything here is amazing however the hospitality that the owner provides really is a standout detail. He is incredibly knowledgeable about all the superfood ingredients and will tailor your order exactly to what you'd like. They also carry plenty of ingredients that other typical acai spots do not, and always go above and beyond with every single order. Love that they have unlimited toppings options. I chose a combo that I had in Oahu so I can relive my experience - it had blueberries, strawberries, banana, granola, and acai, topped with bee pollen and honey. We came after 4PM but the door was still open. I think we were served by the owner? Not sure, but he was extremely friendly and did not turn us away despite us not knowing his closing hours. We ended up getting a rainforest bowl (large) and it was delicious! It was freshly made right in front of us and the combinations just went together really well. I am writing this review after repeated challenges with this topic, so much so this is the last time we will order from them. Today we had an order for 5 bowls, no small order, certainly, but with a confirmed pickup time of 9:27. The worker behind the counter, when I asked about the timing, said it would be an additional 10-15 minutes from then, yet it's been an additional 35 minutes and counting without our bowls. Meanwhile, I am now managing hungry, antsy kids. This has happened so many times with this location that I shouldn't be surprised. I am posting this to help inform others ordering with any sense of dependability of timing for their schedule and needs. Products are great, and nice people, but not efficient and disruptive if you are counting on their confirmation times being accurate. I love this place! The guy who works in the morning, Mason, is always happy and ready to help when I need it. The food is delicious and my favorite thing is the Golden Glow juice. I sometimes come into Bowlista and do some work with a good acai bowl because I love the environment they create. The staff member very friendly and pleasant. The menu was large with many options. The Cherry Blossom caught my eye because I love cherries, dark chocolate and coconut. I asked the employee if she thought peanut butter would be good with it and she advised not to. So I added almond butter because the Cherry Blossom came with slice almonds. Good choice as an addition. This bowl was delicious and perfect for a light meal after my Saturday morning bootcamp. It was such a refreshing treat. I wasn't initially planning to write a review for Bowlista, but after a disturbing interaction with one of the employees, I feel obligated to share my experience--especially after being threatened with the release of video footage if I dared to speak out. I visited Bowlista with my daughters to order three açaí bowls. We placed our order and then waited... and waited. At the time, it genuinely felt like close to an hour. Later, the employee pulled up the receipt and accused me of "lying to his face", pointing out that our actual wait time was just over 30 minutes. Regardless of the exact time, it was clear we waited much longer than other customers, and my daughters and I watched as several people who ordered after us were served first. Rather than apologize or acknowledge the delay, the employee became visibly angry, and in an unacceptable escalation, he threatened to post videos of me online if I left a negative review. That kind of response is not only unprofessional--it's alarming and inappropriate for any business, let alone one that serves families. To make matters worse, two of our bowls were placed in the freezer, despite my daughters being seated right there, clearly waiting. No explanation was offered, and no one took responsibility. And finally, the food didn't redeem the experience. My chia pudding was congealed and unappetizing, far from what you'd expect in a freshly prepared bowl. Poor service is one thing, but threatening customers for sharing their experience crosses a serious line. This behavior was completely out of bounds, and I sincerely hope no one else is treated this way at Bowlista. read more
