The restaurant itself is bright, colorful, clean, and really well designed. I loved the clever bench seating, the bar was well stocked, and there's outdoor seating plus an upstairs area that looked really cool. They also have a walk-up taco window outside, which is a fun idea. We sat in the bar area, and the service was amazing. Everyone was friendly and attentive. The food, though, was really underwhelming. Almost everything we tried lacked seasoning and flavor. I ordered the chicken enchiladas, which had very little chicken and were pretty bland. I did like the very thinly sliced jalapeños on top. The rice was nice and fluffy but didn't have much flavor, and they serve black beans, which just aren't my preference with Mexican food. The house-made salsa was surprisingly sweet, and I was disappointed that the chips didn't seem house-made. If I'm going out for Mexican food, fresh chips are one of those little things I really look forward to. My husband ordered tacos at $6 each, which felt pretty steep considering we're used to excellent tacos in the $2-$3 range. His carne asada was cooked closer to medium rare, which wasn't what we expected at all from carne asada. The queso was another disappointment. It tasted very similar to Rico's cheese sauce you can buy at the grocery store. Overall, great service, great decor, very clean and a fun atmosphere, but the food just didn't match the setting or the reviews for us. At these prices, I expected a lot more flavor. Unfortunately, we left pretty disappointed.

All the staff we met were nice, attentive and they know their menu very well. However, the nicest restaurant still needs to make good food to bring you back. The burrata was very nice and serving it with beets and grape tomatoes makes a great start. Unfortunately the pasta accompanying the chicken Parmesan was too cooked and the shrimp on butternut squash ravioli were oversalted; both of which threw the dishes off. Hopefully they will be able to make a few adjustments and have a really nice meal. The wine list deserves exploring.

Oddly, I'd never been to CB for breakfast before. I do enjoy their lunch/dinner options. We went there two days in a row, and both servers were very nice and attentive. I ordered the pancakes, scrambled eggs, and bacon. Those were the BEST pancakes I've ever eaten. Fluffy on the inside, crispy and buttery on the outside, with real maple syrup. I was in heaven! The eggs were cooked to my liking and the bacon was nice and crispy. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the floors were greasy and I was slipping as I walked. Our waitress was attentive, had everyone's drink order taken as soon as we all trickled in. I ordered the Southwest chopped chicken salad; and added jalapenos. My only constructive criticism for the salad was to actually chop it. It was more of a seared breast that was sliced into strips, it wasn't chopped. With that said, the salad was delicious. The lettuce was fresh, the jalapeno ranch was tasty. I had no complaints putting the whole thing away for lunch. Our waitress did a great job caring for all 8 of us, while we came in at varied times, had several modifications to dishes, and some had to leave early... Great experience.
