    My tasty burger
    Colleen O.

This place has been on my radar for quite some time . Excellent burger selection - I decided on a breakfast burger ; one with cheesy hash browns , maple bacon and an egg . All burgers are under $15 and include fries. I prefer my fries a bit thinner and hand cut - these were battered , which isn't my preference but that's ok . The service was prompt and friendly . It was a Saturday before noon, and the place was already busy . I'd go back to try another burger on the menu and maybe something with bourbon too !

This establishment was honestly, a pretty sad excuse for a restaurant. Went at 530 pm on a Friday night, and the place was dead. We waited 1 hour for 4 burgers... which was served on a jail plate. I had to ask another server for a round of refill waters. The serving sizes were really small and left still hungry. Only saw the server a few times and left extremely dissatisfied. The side salad was an extra 3.99 and maybe 2 full bites.... Prices are crazy for what you get. Will not return here

Honestly this place gets 5 stars for the blueberry lemonade cocktail alone. It tastes as good as it looks, though I forget what's in it. I think it's seasonal. The burgers were great, too, and made medium rare (truly) to order. I had the California burger sans lettuce and tomato. My husband had the Kentucky bourbon burger. The fries can't decide whether they want to be French or steak cut, but they were good. Service is fast and friendly. The restaurant is open and spacious with high ceilings and comfortable booths. Definitely returning the next time we come through Batavia.

Had an excellent burger here, with very reasonable prices. Good special every day, friendly staff and an excellent bourbon list (get the flight deal)! Will be back again

California burger (there's another word after California but I forgot)

I've never seen so many different burger options before I came to this place! You can get pretty much any burger that you want, including a burger that uses grilled cheese sandwiches as the buns. I decided to go with a California burger, which has avocado, veggies, and a patty. To be honest, it was quite bland and lacked flavor. However, my friends who got the weird grilled cheese burger really liked their food and I want my review to reflect that too. Service was great, food came out in a timely manner, and we were seated quickly.

Good service from a nice gal. Burgers are basic and menu has way too many options, who's got time to read all that? Sides were good, fries better than the mac and cheese. Bourbon selection was good and $18 for a flight of nice little pours is not too shabby. The lights are too bright making it feel like a cafeteria instead of a nice dinner.

This place during covid was bustling. The employees were awesome and very helpful. They explanned the menu. Drinks were amazing. Hence the Bourbon. They had so many burgers to choose from. The two we had were cooked to perfection. Everything on them was so fresh. I think we will be back in the summer to try some more. Great job and keep up the good work!

AMAZING BURGERS!!! OMG this place was phenomenal. Made with real burger; fresh to order & oh, so many toppings to choose from. The drinks were great as well as our service. If we lived in the area we would frequent here.

December Special - burger complete with pierogi

I hate to say average at best, the suspense got my hopes up. I got the monthly special burger which included sour cream, onions, cheese, and potato pierogi. Love the concept but execution needs some work. My mom got the California and we had the same review of the burger patty itself - based on shape I'd say it was a premade patty, not an issue per se but handmade would be better. The patty was relatively flavorless, some seasoning would be a huge help. The patty itself was cooked perfectly I'll give them that. Burger could have used more condiment (sour cream) and my moms had no condiment, so something to considered. Although I'm sure we could have asked for mayo or otherwise. The California was pretty skimpy on avocado, two slices for the entire burger. They do have awesome French fries. All in all, not bad, but not what was expected of a place with Burger in their name.

I simply want to keep it all to myself...but as an Elite Yelper, I feel an inordinate moral calling to share this great, super fun, place! It is a tiny, tiny place (hence, the first part of its name.) Maximum capacity of about 35 people. It has an outside volleyball court and a great outside deck on which you can enjoy a cool upscale beverage, or a Coors Light....literally it is that kind of place, something for everyone!!!! On a beautiful day, what a place to spend the afternoon for some fabulous burgers and the libation of your absolute choice! Now for the GREAT stuff. Amazing burgers. Like Amazing. Juicy, flavorful. Yum. Cozy tables and high tops with stools and a decent sized bar inside, then the nice deck, outside. The locals clearly know about this place and they have kept it a DEEP SECRET. I understand. It is a prize and if I were them, I would do the same. We heard about this cubbyhole, randomly, through rumor. Then we found it on Facebook. Our car driving group made arrangements to have a happy hour on a beautiful, sunny, fall Saturday following a rally style drive around WNY. The owner, Jennifer, was wonderfully accommodating when contacted in advance, agreeing to prepare a happy hour offering for us from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm on a Saturday afternoon, with special burger sliders and fry baskets for our drivers as appetizers, as we finished our rally style drive and rolled into Stafford New York in waves. We took over the Tiny Piney for a two hour period. Total fun. Steph, the master mixologist who totally dominates the Tiny Piney's unique bar, developed two specialty cocktails for our group. One was called the Pink Cadillac Margarita, and the other was called the Road Trip Cold Brew. Both. Were. Incredible. My driving group, The Western New York Drivers, are a great group of folks who love cars--from the very high end supercars and exotics to classics to muscle cars. Our drivers who are of all walks of life, were all so impressed with the incredible hospitality offered by The Tiny Piney, and their warm and welcoming group of local patrons. It is not every day that millions of dollars worth of cars driven by strangers, roll into a tiny bar in upstate Western New York, but the Tiny Piney handled it in total stride and arranged in advance for great parking on the lawn of the neighboring car business for our cars. Just perfect. My husband and I live 50 minutes from this hidden gem, and mark my words, we will be back before driving season's end, with or without our larger ensemble....as soon as possible! Thank you Steph and Jennifer for a warm welcoming Tiny Piney hug!

When we walked in, another customer was raving about the food and telling us how much we'd enjoy it, which honestly made me feel a lot better about trying somewhere new in an unfamiliar area. The vibe is like a bar turned restaurant, dark and a little moody but not off-putting. My mom even got a cutesy leprechaun margarita, which made her smile. We started with 10 mild wings for the table, my sister got a Caesar salad and said the dressing tasted homemade, and this is where I tried French onion soup for the first time. It was okay, just really salty. My mom ended up finishing it, but I did like that the cheese layer wasn't too heavy. I'm still on the hunt for a French onion that really does it for me. I didn't get pictures of the mains, but my mom and I both got steak, I had mashed potatoes and she got a baked potato. My sister got the fettuccine alfredo and marveled at the flavor. She kept saying you can tell it's a local spot and not a chain just by the care put into it. My steak was good, nothing crazy but you really can't go wrong. The mashed potatoes were a little bland but still edible. My mom loved her meal and finished everything, while my sister and I both had leftovers. The only downside was the service. Our waitress wasn't very friendly, kind of impatient and a little passive aggressive, like we were bothering her just by being there. Given the lack of diversity in the area, it didn't completely surprise me, but it was still noticeable. We didn't let it ruin the night though. Overall we still enjoyed it and I'd go back if I'm ever in Batavia again. Reasonable prices, solid food. Taking everything into account, I'd give it a 6.9/10.

Oh how the mighty have fallen! I remember when this restaurant was opened by "Alex" and it was…read morefantastic. I knew Alex by mutual acquaintance and growing up in the same small town. He was a professional restaurateur who was paid to sit with celebrities at the posh places he worked in South Florida in the 70s. Whatever else is said, the man had high standards in food and dining experience. When he opened, and for years after the place was always packed and very popular. The food was high quality and your meal came with 2 sides, salad, hot bread and nice presentation at a reasonable price. Alex left the business several years ago and the current owner has run it for some time. Today was my first time back in several years. The outside looks dated and needs a refresh. I almost thought it was closed. It was 2:30pm on Saturday before Mother's Day and almost empty. I don't recall it ever not being full of people waiting at the bar for a table. Until today. The decor is ok although I don't care for the fringe lamps directly over your head. I was going to get ribs but decided on 10 oz prime rib ($32.00) comes with 1 side (I chose baked potato - only sour cream and butter is offered). No salad unless you pay extra! The warm bread was fine with two kinds of butter. My companion had the Kids spaghetti $(8.99). My prime rib came out and it looked about half the normal thickness it should be and in a puddle of juice. Even the server commented about why the kitchen did that. And it was warm, at best. No horseradish or other condiments were offered. No garnish on the plate. Just a thin slab of meat. The juice should have been in a separate cup. But the small baked potato was steaming hot! My companion had a giant pile of spaghetti with about a 1/4 cup of sauce on top! Too little for the mound of spaghetti. And it looked like cheap jar sauce and no meatballs. She didn't mind but I wasn't thrilled. And her fountain drink did not come with the meal ($3.99)! I had a lavender lemon drop martini that was ok. ($10). Ultimately the food is mediocre and it feels like they are cutting corners to keep prices down. But that means it's no longer the special place it used to be. Sad.
