I chose Boulevard Pizza because I saw the pics on Yelp showed large open seating and a order at the counter vibe that would be great for big groups. I am glad I chose this joint! Arriving on a Saturday around noon, I was a bit bummed to find that almost every large table was "reserved," yet no one arrived at the reserved tables until nearly 2 PM. I know for next time that I can call to reserve a large table. However, the staff was nice and allowed us to move a smaller table and push some others together for our large group to sit together. The ability to order at the counter is perfect for larger groups. Everyone can place their own order and pay for their own tab. No worrying about table service or check splits. The menu here is great. Lots of great choices. I ended up going for combo #1 with a medium chicken bacon pizza, 6-piece lemon pepper wings, and small rojos potatoes. I also added a half-meatball hero. All of this food came out to under $40! That's a great value! The food did take nearly 35 minutes to come out, but the place was averagely busy, and when the food did come out, it was hot and fresh. The wings were good. Not too much lemon pepper flavor and a bit dry, but good overall. The rojos potatoes are very tasty. They have great seasoning and go very well with ranch. The only downside is that they can be quite oily. They are a nice compromise to a thick-cut potato wedge. The meatball hero is an incredible value. A 6-inch sub loaded with meatballs, sauce, and cheese, and served with a bag of chips for less than $5. What a win! Finally, the pizza is great. It's not incredible, but it is very solid and generously topped. The crust is on the thin side and is well-cooked, and the portion size is very generous. Overall, Boulevard Pizza is a great place to grab pizza, wings, or a hero sandwich. It gives me that classic early 2000's pizza joint vibe with the open seating, arcade, and large bar area. I would totally come back here if I were in the area looking for a pizza spot. Sure, there are some things they could improve, but for the value and chill vibes, this place is a win.
My first time here. Ordered an xl pepperoni. Crust is thin and crispy. I loved it. They cut the pieces super tiny which I love. It's so crispy the crust stays straight when picked up. The cheese seemed great towards the middle but thinner towards the edge. They spread sauce all the way to the edge which I love but I'd prefer the cheese to the edge also. I was disappointed that they charge for even one small side of extra sauce to dip crust into. It's a little dry towards the edge. The sauce is very thin at the edge and not much cheese so a little dipping sauce upon request would be nice. If I were to come back I'd ask for a little extra sauce around edge and cheese spread to edges better. The sauce was good. I didn't see green or Kalamata olives available. Maybe I missed it. It's a flavor I missed on my pizza today. But I understand they can't have everything. If you find this review useful please VOTE!
This is my family's first time eating at the pizza place! Wonderful pizza and tastes like our old pizza place in Fresno! The service was great and they were busy! The place looked like an old pizza joint with video games for children to play! It's nice they have an adult only for booze and gambling
In my humble opinion this is hands down BEST PIZZA in Sparks! There's the perfect amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. The crust is thin and perfectly crispy. I was a vegetarian for 10 years and my favorite pizza was pineapple and jalapeño and in some ways it still is. I've never technically eaten in the restaurant, I always do pickup or delivery but the restaurant and bathrooms are always clean. The staff are welcoming and friendly and the service is always fantastic. Nothing negative to say about this family friendly pizza restaurant. If you haven't tried it you need to and you'll discover the best pizza in Sparks!
Always a favorite... If you remember Shakey's Pizza you'll understand why these pies are classic. This is our go to for small 2-24 gatherings. A great area in front for the birthday party or soccer team to be loud, and a quieter area with a bar and sports on the screens for those seeking less noise in back. Not your Chicago deep dish, but a fairly thin crust that actually crunches with every bite. If you're bringing a crowd, it's best to reserve a couple tables in advance, Boulevard Pizza has a good reputation and can get pretty busy during peek hours. They run some specials so it's always worth checking to see what the day's deal is. We upgraded our large to family size for .99 cents. If you go once you'll go back.
The pizza, the wings, and the potatoes are super good. The pizza was cooked perfectly. Perfect little crisp on the crust and soft middle and toppings, not soggy at all. The service is good, quick friendly, and my order was accurate. Nice spot to take the kids, good for groups, great specials.
This was my first time and this place did not disappoint. The food was fantastic. The service was friendly and Tony was awesome. Also the ambiance was amazing. You can play games listen to music or enough the bar. I will definitely be back.
How have I not reviewed Boulevard Pizza yet?! I've been coming here for years, and now that I've moved back, I'm excited I get to enjoy it more than just once a year when I'd visit "home." I've known Tony since high school, and it's so cool to see him running this place. He genuinely loves his community, his business, and his employees--and it shows. Boulevard consistently serves up great pizza and wings. You'll find them at every wing festival, and their flavors are some of my local favorites. I've tried plenty of their pizzas and honestly, you can't go wrong with any of them. Fun fact: their combo pizza is the only one I'll eat--probably because they use fresh mushrooms instead of baking them in. The restaurant recently went through renovations and is now bigger and better, with plenty of space to accommodate larger groups. Whether you're here for pizza, wings, or both, Boulevard never disappoints.
Boulevard is a local favorite in Sparks. The restaurant is in a strip mall off of Rock. It is pretty busy on weekends. As you enter, there are two dining rooms, with a full bar in the second room. There's a little arcade space for the kids in the back. There is plenty of seating, which can accommodate large groups. They even take reservations. We normally order takeout because the pizza they make is great. Our to-go is the Chuck's Special and a pepperoni with sausage. The crust on their pizza is thin and crispy, and the toppings are always fresh. The service is good, and timely. Would definitely recommend.

Amazing! This place was scrumptious! The pizza took a bit to be ready but worth the wait! We ordered the combo and I can't stress enough how perfect it was! The veggies were not over cooked. The dough was nice and thin and crispy! I personally prefer a thin dough. So, this was perfect! Then we had the jalapeño bottle caps! Really enjoyed those too! Environment was nice. We got to watch the games because they were playing different games on different screens! I truly recommend this place! The food was reasonably priced! I will definitely be coming back! read more

Best Pizza in Reno/Sparks, crust is thin and crisp, toppings are fresh. Never disappoints. Staff is friendly. Our go to place for pizza night. Wings are good and Rojo fried potatoes are delicious and an extra we really don't need, but I love them. read more

Boulevard Pizza has become a regular place for us. We like their pizza, daily specials, Happy Hour and the laid-back ambiance. We went last night for their Monday special: a large 1-topping pizza for $11.99! We also ordered sides of Rojo Potatoes and Chicken Wings. And since we arrived during Happy Hour (4pm-6pm), we also had a pitcher of Icky IPA for $9. We had all of this while sitting in the newly remodeled bar area where we were able to catch some college hoops playing on both of their TVs. This was a dream date for my hubby. He is already talking about going back. read more

Food was so good! Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The only thing i noticed is that food took extra long time to cook. It took about almost 40 minutes in total. It was all worth it, though, but just something to think about when you plan your visit. read more
We came into Boulevard Pizza at 8pm with some friends that came into town and they weren't busy. About 6 people besides our party so it was pretty quiet inside. I did like that the tables were large and there was a separate section with the bar. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was pretty good. The service was pretty quick. They gave us a whole cup of ranch which was very appreciated! The crust of the pizza was crunchy in a good way! I feel like it could have used more cheese though. They have more things on the menu besides pizza but I didn't see salad was one of them which was a bummer. Overall, the pizza was good and I'd eat here again! read more

I love an old school pizza joint! They just bring back good memories. This one is especially special because my dad used to work at Shakey's around the time I was born. I love that they have stuck pretty close to that menu! The pizza was decent for the price. I've had better and I've also had worse. The sub sandwiches are pretty impressive. They're huge and only $7.50! They also have award winning wings! We tried the Thai flavor and the Lemmon pepper. They were expertly fried with the perfect amount of crisp. They have lots of options! Will definitely be going back. I see this becoming our go to family pizza spot. read more

I am a little disappointed. I placed an order for a medium Veggie pizza to pick up. When I got home I realized it is not the same as what is on the menu. There was no sliced tomatoes on my pizza. Oops, sorry guys. Nobody likes a surprise pizza. read more

This is my go to pizza. Ordered a large, half Hawaiian and half combo. Did "take and bake" and saw they were now offering side salads for $5.00. I got two salads and didn't pay attention to them until I got home. I'm not sure these salads qualify as a side, more an after thought and not worth the $10. price. The containers barely contained salad and I was given expired blue cheese dressing. Come on, guys, you're the best in town. Please don't compromise your quality. I will say, my pizza was pretty close to what we expect, so, we will be back but reconsider your salad offering. read more

I've passed by this restaurant a lot and this was the first time I've tried it. Not sure why this place has such high reviews on Yelp. The appearance of the building is a classic Pizza dinner. There was plenty of room to sit, but not all the empty tables were cleaned off. The service was pretty slow with orders taking 50+ minutes. I happened to use the Men's room while I was here and the urinal stalls were abnormally high and the bathroom wasn't very clean either. I ordered Garlic Cheese Bread, Fried Chicken and Rojo Potatoes, and a Basil Pesto Pizza in order to try a fair assortment of their menu offerings. I was sad to see their only dessert option is what looked like homemade brownies. The Garlic Cheese Bread was the best part of my entire meal. The price was only $4.95. The breads texture was nice and soft. The only thing I didn't really enjoy about the bread was the use of garlic powder; made it feel like something I could easily make at home. Next up, the Fried Chicken and Rojo Potatoes. The potatoes left me wishing I opted to try some of their ranch dressing because they weren't great by themselves. The Fried Chicken was a bit overcooked and on the dry side. Decent fried chicken leftovers taste good cold later; these did not. Finally, let's talk about this disappointment of a pizza. I tried the Basil Pesto Pizza and expected light toppings and more of a basil Pesto taste. This pizza had an overwhelming amount of peppers and onions (my least favorite part) to the point where it overpowered the pizza as a whole; I managed to try 1.5 slices before throwing the whole thing in the garbage. The highlights of this restaurant were the garlic cheese bread and the friendly staff. My pizza and fried chicken definitely weren't worth it. I have no reason to return. read more

What a wonderful old-school pizza joint. Arcade? They got it. Bar? They got it. Soda in a red plastic cup? Yup! It's a great local spot and I don't want to say more, otherwise y'all will show up! Ok. Let's talk food. When you come here YOU HAVE TO ORDER THE ROJOS. If you don't, I don't want to hear you whining about it later. Do it. They are the most amazing fried potato product EHAH. No seriously. They are so good. Pizza is a perfect thin crust. Not a cracker. Not floppy. But just right. Nice soft bite with a crispy finish. We had a veggie pizza but hear their pepperoni and sausage are pretty special. That have some fun cheeseburger and mexi pizza options too. So happy to have discovered this hidden gem. read more

One of Sparks oldest family owned pizzerias. Make sure to try the Mexirito, the Chuck's special, Rojo's, bottle caps and Thai Chili Chicken wings. Plently of space for large parties, it does take time when busy as oven capacity is limited. read more
Like most natives, we loves Chuck's! Been coming here since I was a kid, and it's always been great. Sure, the pandemic has changed some things (like salad bars!) for all food-service businesses, and maybe someday, they'll be back. I was happy to get to treat my favorite mechanic's shop to a pizza day for their great service a while back, and Chuck's came thru for me. I called the day before to pre-order, and was told a massive order had just came in before mine, yikes! Chuck's was able to squeeze my much smaller order in for the next day close to the time I was hoping to deliver the lunch, and even tho it wasn't quite ready when I arrived, they still got me out the door within about 20 minutes of their quoted time, so it was OK. Great, fresh and crispy pizzas and bomb wings & of course, the famous rojo potatoes were enjoyed my the hard working team at (shout out!!!) Ayres Brake & Alignment! For good pizza, great wings & a heavy dose of Sparks hometown nostalgia, Chuck's Boulevard Pizza always does it right! read more
If, like me, you were fortunate enough to grow up in LA in the last golden era known as GenX in the 80s, you probably still have random hankerings for Shakey's - esp. their mojos. I had relatively few pregnancy cravings but I would've paid someone a pretty penny to ship mojos to my NC dwelling behind. So, why am I going all wax on/wax off nostalgic? Because, THIS IS SHAKEY'S!!!!!! (Insert Kermit the Frog freakout here.) This used to be Shakey's. Not the eww, what happened to this place late 90s Shakey's right before nearly all of them disappeared, but the place-to-be, good arcade, crispy crust pizza w/a mildly tangy sauce, good cheese, fried chicken that's screaming hot & seasoned to the heavens, and mojos Shakey's we know & love. Delicious, heavenly, buttery soft inside, perfectly dredged and slightly crispy, fried outside Mojos (called Rojos now they're no longer Shakey's). The food can take 30-40 minutes b/c a) it's fresh, b) demand, but if you're not in a hustle the dining room is very clean, spacious, comfy, has a chill vibe, kinda family/kinda beers after a game, sort of place. Good music on the jukebox and baseball on a nice big screen. Lots of appetizer choices. Lots. Room for a group, AIR HOCKEY(!!!)(#NutupButtercup), video games and free refills make this a perfect spot for families, relaxed dates, broke college years dates, a drink at the bar, or low key get together. Really nice staff, friendly and even when busy they're polite and don't make you feel hurried. Speaking of hurry - cmon Covid restrictions, go away so the salad bar can hurry back! Oh! Delicious crunchy thin crust Combo Pizza with onions and peppers. So fabulous. Unfortunately we tried the Bottle Caps - perfectly deep fried jalapeños with Ranch Dipping Sauce - "unfortunate" because we now are going to have to order them, always! Delicious!! We sat in the bar (really great Happy Hour prices, BTW) and both Kathy and Izzy were great. We are so lucky to have such exceptional pizza so close to home. read more
It is hard to find a better deal in Sparks than Chuck's Boulevard Pizza's lunch specials. You can get a personal pizza or sandwich with a salad from their well stocked salad bar for $5 or $6 bucks. This is a multi use place. I have been here when it is packed with after game (youth or adult softball, soccer, football...) crowds, birthday parties, and game day sports bar types. It feels odd when it is not busy because the place is huge. The service is pretty good. There is a separate bar area for adults. The pizza is a bit above average but not the best in town. They do accommodate crowds of any size well and have lots of video games, pool, and things to do for all ages. read more

We were craving pizza and decided to try this place out. It was about 4:30pm on a Sunday. Upon arriving, we read their message board above the entrance. It was a commanding statement overlooking the parking lot which said, "Absolutely the worst pizza I ever had." - One guy on Yelp. It just intrigued us even more based on the reviews we read on Yelp We walked in and it looked really busy. The main room has what appears to be a bunch of picnic tables with some others thrown in. There is a back room with a few more tables, booths, and counter seating with some slot machines at a bar. This is the kind of place where you review the menu on the wall and place your order at the window. You also pick up your order from the window when your order number is called. We decided to order the extra large meat lover and a small order of rojo's. We always like taking home the leftovers for work lunches. $25 and change is a decent price for a good extra-large pizza. They told us it would be about 50 minutes. We knew it could be a while based on Yelp reviews so we had a seat at the bar had a few drinks and played some slots. 1 hour and 20 minutes later our number was called. We each already had 2 drinks. We went up to the counter which still had a lot of people waiting to order. We picked up our pizza and rojo's and took it to the bar area where we were sitting. The pizza looked amazing and tasted very good as well. They make a thin crust and it was crunchy on the bottom. The rojo's were also very good. Normally, we would not feel good about waiting over an hour for our order BUT they were upfront about the length of the wait when we ordered and we read the comments on Yelp about long wait times. They have slot machines, a full bar and TV's which entertained us while we waited. The cost of the drinks were very reasonable and we had fun. We will plan accordingly for our next visit and would recommend that others try this place out, the pizza and rojo's were delicious and reasonably priced. read more
