Cool spot, the caramel macchiato was good but didnt stand out. Turns into a bar in the back area certain hours.

Great little place. Really laid back and comfortable atmosphere. Food was really good. Workers are kind. Lots of syrups to choose from to add a little something to your drinks. I'd definitely be back again to try more things.

Coffee shops are popping up everywhere in the past year it seems. Boulevard Brew is off our beaten path in River Oaks a few doors down from the heralded Griffs (eh, in my opinion) and Clear Fork liquor (with its impressive selection of Martin House beers). Boulevard brew has a cheerful front with some flower boxes, out door seating, and a sign advertising "Vintage Vibes". The front room has a cozy feeling with lots of natural light. There is also a second, larger space towards the back with lower lighting and more sofas and tables. I was a little concerned it might feel tight if it was busy, but not so at all. The staff (one was the owner I think) were exceptionally personable and accommodating. Super high marks for how they helped us and tweaked our drinks as we are both trying to adjust our drinks for temporarily restrictive diets. The menu includes food items and signature sweet drinks that I found interesting. Boulevard uses coffee from a small batch roaster in Dallas named La Creme, and features some tea from David Rio in San Francisco. My drink was a Green Eye (triple 16 oz drip coffee) with a splash of cream and half sweet sugar free vanilla. It's not fully working for me everywhere yet, and think that La Creme has stronger body and acidity than my preference. But, a triple drip is a lot of coffee for 16 oz., too. She's been drinking a quad oat milk latte and hers was bitter, too. Worth mentioning, our total came to $17.68, add two bucks tip and we're almost at $20 for two drinks. We did add several shots, and I didn't ask him to break it down for me. I'm telling myself had a tried there would've been no way to rework that with fewer add-ons and maybe it would've been a more reasonable price. Boulevard opened up right after the pandemic, a rough time to sustain a food business with all the opening and closing and changing restrictions. We enjoyed our visit, though its a bit far for us to come back to regularly. Recommended if its within your range!

A new coffee shop in River Oaks....and it's brews up some good stuff! I noticed this spot a week or two ago, but just dropped in today. They were doing a brisk take-out business. While the nice employee was preparing beverages for the folks ahead of me, I got some time to look around and snap some pics. I was warmly greeted and ordered the Mayan Mocha latte and a slice of the delectable Italian cream cake that was "calling my name" as it sat on that cake platter. The drink and cake were delicious. And YES, you can sub dairy milk for almond, oat, or coconut in your beverages. Not only are they a full coffee bar, but they also offer an extensive smoothie and tea menu, sandwich menu, pastries/cake, and are hosting a Spanish "crash course" in June. I ordered takeout, but the inside is cute, cozy with the feel of a small, laid back, but upscale coffee shop. There is plenty of parking in this strip mall. I took a picture of the outside of the building because it's easy to not notice that there is such a nice spot right here off Roberts Cut Off Rd and River Oaks Blvd (right past taco bell & chicken express; next door to Josefina's).

A lovely coffee shop with an artsy vibe. I tried one of their pour-overs and it was one of the most flavorful, smooth cups of coffee I've ever had. Delicious apple pastries as well. Plenty of seating to choose from - there were a few cafe tables on the sidewalk outside, a small, well-decorated front area and a larger room in the back with comfy couches, local artists work displayed and a grand piano.

We visited Boulevard Brew on a random trip to this area of town. Coffee sounded good, so we stopped in mid-afternoon on a Saturday. I was disappointed to find the place empty, but I was not disappointed with the service. The young man who helped us was really friendly and very patient with someone who couldn't figure out what he wanted. This young man made great suggestions and eventually customized a drink to perfection. The espresso drinks were standard fare and mine was delicious. While waiting for my drink, this young man shared some insight into oat milk and the differences between almond and soy. He was helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable! We would definitely go back again. I loved the service and small business feel of this place.

Noticed this place a while back but decided today was the day to stop in and grab a drink. The inside is very roomy and has plants of space to sit and read or bring in your laptop. Barista was friendly and very helpful since it was my first time in, a big plus in my book. Ordered the Salted Carmel Chai Latte and all I can say is it is the perfect start to my morning at the office.

I ordered the salmon Benedict's and my husband ordered a cheeseburger. We were quite perplexed on their sides. They don't offer french fries with a hamburger or even a bag of chips. Their sides are potatoes au gratin, asparagus, Mac & cheese,if they have it, and mushrooms. We were also quite surprised at the exact location of this restaurant. It's tucked away on a small street of a camp Bowie in a strip shopping center. We found the food to be very good, but it'd be nice to have appetizers on every menu and it would be nice if you could have french fries to go with a cheeseburger. I'm sharing pictures of the menu for the brunch and lunch. The dinner menu has more options.

The restaurant is surprisingly small, located on the other side of the bar from the entrance (I wouldn't have known where to go if my dining companions hadn't been here previously.) I loved that it wasn't too loud, the four of us were seated at a large round half booth/half chairs table and were able to converse without voices raised and the dreaded "whaaaat?" Food was yummy! Everyone was going nuts over the Ritz and Dips appetizer but all my attention was on the sourdough bread, so good. Salads are generous, we split two Caesar salads between the four of us and it was a perfect portion for starters (this is not your classic Caesar but we enjoyed the different take on it.) I'm a pescatarian and the chef was so accommodating to make me my own non-dirty farro to accompany the redfish. Great flavors! Some others of us ended up ordering several appetizers as entrees and it was all delicious. Husband said the Hot Rock Wagyu Rib Cap appetizer (prepared table-side) was incredible. They make a rich plenty dark decaf Americano which was my dessert of choice. We were all too full to order any treats, maybe next time. Finally, our server Lauren was AMAZING! She really helped make it a great evening. Which helped take the edge off when we got the post-meal surprise that valet parking isn't complimentary (I see by the reviews that it maybe used to be?) but $10. Not too expensive, I guess, but considering the $700-$1700/per night cost of rooms at this hotel you'd think they might want to throw the locals coming in for a meal a little appreciation. Just saying.

Fantastic choice! The menu is very "urban hipster" vibes. Plenty of burgers, lots of fun appetizers, charcuterie, one of my friends has some dietary restrictions and they were easily able to accommodate her needs which made us all very happy. This spot has a great bar in the front, and a smaller bar in the rear of the place. Outdoor seating as well as covered seating. Plenty of shade as well which will serve their patrons nicely in the coming Texas summer months. This is also a dog friendly dining spot, plenty of people were there with some amazing canine companions (always ask before you pet a strangers pup, it's just polite and courteous. Almost no one says No!). Assuming you don't have a dog allergy, this will hopefully be a feature. There is a relatively new apartment complex across the street and I get the feeling a lot of the people stopping in were regulars who bring in their dogs during walkies and grab a bite before heading back home, but that is just pure conjecture on my part. Either way, it was a fun inviting atmosphere. The music was nice, not too loud for my old man ears to enjoy but still present enough to be part of the evening without being intrusive. Staff was very nice, helpful, friendly, etc. Everything one would expect from a fine Texas eatery. Lots of spicier options on the menu if you're into that, but by no means anything overpowering. My guess is the owner has stock in some jalapeno growers farm somewhere and the food is all the better for it! If you're in the area already or if you're thinking of branching out for a nice new burger spot, this place is great and I will be returning. I live nearby so it'll likely become part of the regular rotation for us in the coming months. We are spoiled for choice in this area when it comes to good burgers being close to Grumps, close to Kincaid's, and close to Tommy's up on Camp Bowie. But this place competes on good burgers and if you're looking for a fun hangout atmosphere, you'd be hard pressed to find better. Easily recommended! Give them a try, I don't think you'll regret it! Cheers!

The icing wasn't too sweet and complimented the roll nicely. For the table, we had the pollo frito biscuit w/duck fat potatoes, Brisket Benedict w/okra and the Fixe Breakfast entree w/maple sausage and potatoes. The pollo Frito was delicious, the chicken was seasoned well and maintained crunch even within the biscuit. Duck fat potatoes were also good but were even better after adding some salt. The brisket benny was okay, the texture of the brisket was very odd and didn't really hold up to the egg. Although the okra had a great flavor the batter was a bit too thick which made it chewy.
