Delicious! I had the Boulevard sandwich and it was perfect. The brisket and the pork were tender and smoky. I liked the pork a bit better but they were both amazing. My husband and I stumbled across this place by happy accident. The prices looked like they are reasonably on par with most other BBQ/ burger joints, but when the food came out, the proportions were MUCH bigger than expected! You definitely get a lot of food for your buck, and will likely be taking leftovers home with you. Speaking of the food, it was *delicious.* I got a chicken salad, and my husband got the BBQ burger. Both were awesome. My husband was the first person to try their new BLVD light beer, which he loved! (Light, refreshing, and an almost woody after taste.) We enjoyed our amazing waitress, Eva, so much that we stayed and got another drink just to talk to her! Also, co-owner and pro-smoker Alex came to check in on us and ask how the new beer paired with the meal. It's clear they care a lot about the quality of their food, drinks, and service. This place was above average, but not great. We had the brisket and the pork platters. The brisket was incredible, but the pork was dry and tasteless. The green beans were good as were the hush puppies. Overall I would probably go back, but would stay away from the pork. read more

I like this place. But, I have yet to order anything I found to be really good. First time, I got the brisket with okra and pub chips. It was ok, but not the best I've had from this area. Second time, I got chicken with mac n cheese and slaw. The mac n cheese was surprisingly good but the chicken was a bit of a let down. This place is so cheap they put ROMA tomatoes on burgers, little skinny tomatoes - not "sandwich" tomatoes AND only 2 little pieces of these!! We arrived at 5:45pm, the restaurant WAS NOT busy. There were 7 of us in our party. We sat there approx 10 mins before a server even came to get our drink order. Drinks were delivered and she walked away. Came back about 10 mins later to take the orders. Myself and my partner order 2 chopped BBQ plates. 1 with BBQ beans, green beans and hush puppies and the other plate fries, cole slaw and buns with a side of BBQ beans. When we finally got the food 20 minutes later, the server brought out 1 chopped BBQ plate and a Brisket plate. I explained to the server that is not what I ordered. She took it back to the kitchen and 5-10 minutes later returned with the chopped BBQ platter and the sides that I ordered. Not having enough time to eat because the service was so slow and I had to give a shot at exactly 7pm, I ask for to go boxes. Got those and my partner and I got up and then ask the server for our ticket. She went into the kitchen and never came back. 2 other people also ask us if we where being helped, we told them we ask for the ticket to pay. We had no clue who the server was. Finally got our ticket. Went to the register to pay what should have been around $30. When I got the receipt to sign it was over $50.00. I told them the ticket was wrong, and what I ordered. They kept asking me where was the Brisket, I explained I didn't get a Brisket and told them what I had. I explained this to 3 different people. Who kept asking me what happen to the Brisket. I kept telling them the server took it back to the kitchen. No Sh*t, this went on for 5-10 mins and it was now going on 7pm. They kept insisting that I did something with the Brisket. SMH. I then explained this to Lynne, who claimed to be a manager, and she kept asking me what happened to the Brisket. I kept telling here I didn't order a Brisket and I had what I ordered in a to go box, her reply was, so you have the Brisket to go. Yes, after standing there for 15+ minutes trying to explain to these people that the server messed up and gave me the wrong order and charged me the wrong price, I was getting upset. I don't know how many ways to explain to them, I NEVER ORDERED A BRISKET IN THE FIRST PLACE, I ordered 2 chopped BBQ plates. Lynne in a nasty tone, to me that if I didn't stop getting upset (which at this point, yes I was, because these people weren't listening) that she would not correct the problem. It finally took another person to come over and fix the problem. With 4 people standing there, I ask for the GM name and contact number, they gave me a name but refused to give me a contact number. I also ask for the owner's name and they refused to provide me with that information as well. I will never recommend this place again. After the way things were handled during this trip, Never again and I will not recommend this restaurant like I have many times in the past. As many times as I have been there, I have never had a problem. They also charged a Large party gratuity fee which no where on the menu or any signs saying they will do that. read more

Morganton still does not have a good BBQ restaurant. At Boulevard I had the chopped pork sandwich and partner had the chicken nuggets and cole slaw. The BBQ pork was dry, tough and lacked any kind of taste at all. The nuggets were not as good as Bojangles serves. Cole slaw just so so. Huge facility, very nice. People friendly and helpful. They are fairly new at this location so I will wait a few months and try again. read more

Been coming here five times , this was the worst . Hush puppies over done should be crisp outside tender inside , today over fried hard all the way thru. I've been here twice, now. And it is still very good! Last time, I got the salad, which was huge and a great value. It was flavorful and interesting. I just got sides this time, as I was eating with people and we got meat to share. They got pulled pork and chicken. The meat was ok. No complaints. Just no banging flavor or anything. The sides I got were the bbq beans and bbq slaw. Omg! Delicious! I would eat those beans for every meal! The slaw was a million times better than regular. I 100% think everyone should try it. My family and I had to come to Morganton for something and I was craving some BBQ. It looked like this place came recommended and we decided to try it. It was during the COVID pandemic and we could only do carry-out. The staff was very friendly and patient as I placed my order for 6. All of us got chopped pork and we were all impressed by it and thought it would rival most other pork we have had. We look forward to coming back and hopefully sit inside the restaurant then as well.
