We loved our first visit but went downhill! Ordered the French Onion soup. It was lukewarm and super salty. Had burgers & only requested no pickle. Both came with pickles. No big deal. Ordered iced teas with lemon. Had to ask 3 times for that and mustard. The server had an attitude when he dropped off both items. First time going to a sit down meal in a long time since the pandemic. Went specifically to have a decent meal and thought Longhorn would do well. I don't get any joy from complaining, but sadly, it was pretty miserable. Wife's chicken salad came out with the fried chicken completely cold without a hint of warmth to it and no smell, enough you could tell it had been sitting around who knows how long. The $24 steak proceeded to get cold while we waited for them to make new chicken, then the manager came around not to apologize or make it right, but to make sure he collected the cold stale chicken my wife had to pick off her salad because he seemed concerned she might try to take it home. At the end of the meal, the waitress asked my wife to help clear the table for her which went over like a lead balloon. Won't be going here again. read more

First of all, we were told it would be 45 mins to be seated and an hour later my bf asked and they said it had been cancelled. They did seat us asap. Food was fantastic. Nothing like eating dinner near people with a shih tzhu dog with a service vest on. After being told it would be a 30-45 minute wait, we have waited over an hour.. So far ... And still haven't been seated. Not happy at all about their system of assigning tables. The girl at the desk just said, basically, that's just the way it is. We were starving, not too many places to eat around here, so hopefully will be seated soon. It's a LongHorn... we happen to like LongHorn for the most part. While we try to eat at mostly local places sometimes they make it hard with their odd schedules and so many of them closed on Sundays. That happened this Sunday again, had plans to go elsewhere but closed... ended up at LongHorn. At least with the big chains we know they will be open pretty much any day. We happen to like the steaks here. I personally like the NY strip and I like it with the 7 peppercorn seasoning or something like that instead of the standard seasoning it comes with. I also tried the ribs once. Not the best ribs in the world, but not bad at all. Their BBQ sauce is pretty good, has a boozy taste. However I will say one of our favorite items is the chocolate stampede. I have not had it at this location, but it seems to always be the same at all the LongHorns we have been to. It's a bit pricey but it's huge and we typically take half home. If you like chocolate cake then this is for you! I've been to this restaurant three times and the service has been good all three times. The ambiance is nice as well. The food - could be better. The starter salads are basic but fresh and good. The steaks are also decent. They are usually cooked well. My issue is that some of the dishes are overly salty! I can feel the sodium rush and I find myself drinking a gallon of water after eating here! I got a side of asparagus and they were inedibly salty. Tasted like they were boiled in sea water. The grilled shrimp were cooked nicely but they were overly salty. Anyone who has high blood pressure - beware! Thankfully I don't but I do worry about my hubby! read more

Ate at longhorn December 12, 2023. Ordered a chop steak well done. It comes with gravy and mushrooms on it. It came raw red and blood inside. They washed off the steak in the sink put it back on the grill and brought it back in several pieces when I asked the manager, a very young lady she stated that was authorized by the health department to do so I didn't agree and had to question her several times to have them remove it from the bill. Stopped by for an alone lunch, was going to pick up a meal for the wife for later. I got the ribeye, with fries and a soda. The fries were very good, all eight of them. It was the smallest serving of fries I have ever been given at any restaurant. This was the first bad meal I have ever had at a Longhorn, before today, my win streak was at about a hundred and change. My steak was supposed to be cooked medium, it came out in about three minutes, and was probably cooking the whole time, it was rare, not medium-rare, but very rare, I would guess at about 125 degrees. If that had been the only problem, I could have dealt with it, but the quality of the steak was what you would expect from a vendor set up in a Wal-Mart parking lot. Full of gristle, inedible fat, and stringy. Then there was the classic Longhorn seasoning blend, I love this stuff. This time, there was so much on the steak that the salt overpowered the meat, it was almost impossible to eat. The butter on top of the steak was not even melted. I left over half of it. The service was top-notch, as always at Longhorn, the place was reasonably clean, not up to the normal high standards of this chain, but acceptable. My server was attentive and very polite, I didn't have the heart to tell him how bad the steak was. I have eaten at Longhorns in several states, they are, in fact my "go to" when it comes to steak if I'm not grilling at the house. I may get up the nerve to try this place again, but if I do, it will be a while coming. What an absolute disappointment. read more

I placed a to go order while eating in to take home and they forgot half my order. I payed over $35 for a steak and 3 sides and only received the steak and one side. Typical Long Horn. Nothing, just yet, to set them apart. Our first visit was a late one; we arrived about 45 minutes prior to close. I ordered ribs, the bf got a porterhouse steak. We both LOVE salad and chose a cesar and house salad as one of our two sides, unfortunately the waitress informs us that because it's late we likely can't have salad. Now call me crazy, but, if you're open until 11 you should be serving ALL of your dishes until 11. She did come back later to tell us that she was able to put together one cesar for me and that she had enough to put together a salad for him. In the end, we lucked out, but I have to say...not good business practices. Additionally, the ribs ended up causing a case of food poisoning. My wife and I had dinner at the LongHorn Steakhouse in Hickory, NC on 4/13/2023. We often go to a LongHorn when we want steak, and although we had never been to this particular location, we have probably eaten at a LongHorn Steakhouse somewhere at least 15 times or more in the last two years. This time, the service was great. My wife orderd their T-bone and she said it and her sides were perfect. I ordered the 6-ounce filet, my standard order at a LongHorn. When our server brought it, I suspected that he and I had miscommunicated and he thought I was ordering a sirloin. The steak was fairly thin, whereas normally a LongHorn filet looks to be almost 2 inches thick. As I cut into the steak, I was sure I had been given a sirloin. It was rather difficult to cut, even with the steak knife. It was very tough to chew and had a fair amounnt of fat and gristle. I did not complain to our server. I assumed that I might have accidentally said "sirloin" when I ordered and I am reluctant to send food back to the kitchen, as I have heard what some food service people might do if you complain. To be clear, I have never heard that LongHorn employees might retaliate. When my check came, much to my surprise, it showed that I had ordred the filet, as I had itended. So my "four stars" is an overall average. Three stars for the food. My wife's steak was five stars, mine was two. Our service was definitely five stars. I will cotinue to go to LongHorn Steakhouses and I suppose I would even return to the one in Hickory if I were in the area again. I hope that mine was just one bad piece of beef. read more

The pick up was really nasty! The steak was dry and cold. The sides were dry as well. I usually give a place 2 chances and this was number 2. The first one was actually better than this...not to say it was good either. Next time I will settle for the Wendy's across the road and save myself about 25$. Very disappointed that I ordered online and chose the curbside takeout. After arriving and checking in online I waited 20 minutes before calling about the order status. They said they tried calling me a few minutes earlier to inform me they were not providing curbside service due to weather. We order almost every Saturday from Longhorn and the bill is usually between 90 to 126 dollars. When Longhorn opened, it was fantastic. However recently, the service and overall experience has been poor. I've almost made it back home to receive a call saying they left out part of the order, and been chastised by the staff for not coming inside to get my order when one of the two designated parking spaces are taken on a Saturday evening. Tonight the rice was undercooked, and my granddaughter's food was missing or not edible. The 9 chicken tenders were soggy and the French fries were missing but I was charged for them. I recently patronized the store located in Morganton, N.C. on 05/20/2022. The visit was memorable for all the wrong reasons. We pretty much arrived as a family party of 13, the store was forewarned of the party size. Upon arrival, the table was serviced by multiple servers and as far as that part goes the service was very good. However, the table arrangement was not suitable for the number of patrons. We were seated in such a manner that we couldn't eat without fencing with the persons to both your left and right. Clearly the space was too cramped and needed a minimum of two more tables to facilitate the occasion. It was so cramped we were forced to prematurely clear food from the table to facilitate food being served. We brought this to the attention of the servers and requested additional table space; they reacted slowly and then stated they couldn't do anything to relieve the situation. I then requested the manager on duty, after my third request a female manager appeared. I voiced my concerns and asked what could be done to fix it. The manager was very dismissive and nonchalant regarding the matter. She stated there was nothing she could do to fix the situation even though two empty tables were readily available and within eyesight. When queried about the tables, she stated they were reserved. My concern was we were already there and putting money in the till. Manager should have solved the immediate issue and adjusted for the customers that hadn't arrived yet. Then to make more room on the table, I sent my untouched plate back; the manager snatched the plate from my hand. And for that deed, I put her in check. I've been to many Longhorn Steak Houses, and I've never seen such behavior from a person in a management position.
