I think the day pass prices are a little steep and notice they've gone up recently. I took my very active 4.5 year old and got a really great one to one safety briefing for my son from a helpful desk employee who clearly has worked with children. The kids area is great and since we were 1:1 supervision I got to bring him to the adult area. He really enjoyed his time here and I wish it was less than $46 for both of us. I've seen a lot of parents complaining in the reviews but we honestly had a great experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed my rock climbing experience at the bouldering project! I got the day pass for $20 which gives you access to the whole gym including bouldering, treadmills and yoga studio. The yoga classes are complimentary and available at various times throughout the day. I signed up for the free introduction class in which the instructor showed us around the whole gym area and gave some helpful tips on how to climb safely. Tried a few different yellow routes (for newbies) and happy to say it was a challenging but fun experience.

ABP has ruined my home gym for me because they were FANTASTIC! The day pass came in a bit pricey, compared to what I have seen in my travels at least, at $20. But this includes rental shoes and chalk, so it's worth it. I didn't confirm, but the rental chalk felt like Unicorn Dust, so if you hate fine chalk bring your own. I did not try the rental shoes so can't speak to their quality. They're rental shoes ‍ Their grading system was different than what I'm used to but was easy to follow. It was a busy day being Christmas Eve, but I never waited too long for routes to open up. The place is also so big you can easily move to another area if a specific area gets too clogged up. The employees were very nice and accommodating. I had my service dog in training and they were very helpful. Peter, who was actually off the clock, offered to help redirect people away from my dog since it was busy. It never was an issue as everyone at the gym was very respectful of my dog, but it was a really appreciated gesture. The gentleman at the front desk who's name I did not get was also very nice and checked on us at the end of our visit to make sure everything went smoothly. Will definitely be coming back next time I'm in ATX.

Checked this new location out after being a member at the Springdale location for years now. Tucked in a shopping center, you would have never known there was a climbing gym here, but that doesn't mean it's not a great spot. This location is definitely smaller than the Springdale location, but everything is brand new and clean aka everything grips, aka sandpaper, but I love it. There's more slab/vertical areas which are what I love so that's a plus for me. The sets I feel are more true to color (different from Springdale), and definitely climb differently. The gym area is pretty fast with plenty of machines and tools for working out. It almost feels a little like there's too much empty space, but that's also a nice thing. Heading back there again tonight and will definitely come here once in a while. This spot is a bit further away from me since I live in north Austin, but it'll be nice to have new stuff to try every time I do visit.

I can't say anything but amazing things about this place. The staff is always very friendly and helpful, and there is something for everyone at this gym. Even when this place is crowded, it does not feel overwhelmed and there are more than enough walls for people to climb. ABP is one of my happy places and I have been going since it first opened! 10/10 would recommend checking out!

This particular location of Black Swan is tucked away from the main road. It's one large room vs studios with multiple rooms. It has mirrors everywhere so you can check and correct your posture easily, as well as rubber flooring that makes balancing better / easier on your joints. They have plenty of props and the room being wide allows everyone to have a good view of the instructor as well as hear well.

Here's the thing:…read moreBlack Swan lists a bunch of their classes just as "Flow" but each one is led by a different teacher with a different style and different definition of "all-level." Your experience will vary based on the teacher and time of day. 5:30pm - you're gonna get a sweaty, packed room and hardcore workout. 8:30pm - you're gonna get a chill vibe more focused on stretching and winding down for the day. I'm glad they offer both, but it's hard to know what you're gonna get when you book. I literally started keeping a list of teacher's names to note if I liked their style or not ‍ Parking sucks at Orchard (& Cesar Chavez). Get there early to find a spot. Also, they also don't clearly advertise that the rooms are heated. Trust me - bring a sweat towel!

I was doing hot yoga around 3 to 4 times a week and some Pilates here and there, but I quickly had to change my routine as an expecting mother. And I was so blessed to find Austin Yoga lounge! I love taking the power flow classes for a bit of a challenge, and show up almost every Tuesday and Thursday to do Alex's prenatal strength. Do not be fooled, you will absolutely get a workout from these classes! Motherhood can be such an adjustment and I'm so grateful that I get to continue to move my body in a way that serves me. Beyond fitness, Austin Yoga lounge has a ton of different workshops geared towards various topics, mother's groups, and even doula services. I am a first time mom, and I live out of state and away from all my family, and Austin Yoga lounge has been my support system in my community through these past six months.
