First time, but definitely not our last!…read more We finally made it to Kickin' Crab in Garland, Texas, and wow... it exceeded every expectation! The seafood was incredibly fresh, perfectly seasoned, and absolutely packed with flavor. Every bite was delicious! What made the experience even better was the spectacular service. The staff was so friendly, attentive, and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. Great food + amazing customer service = a perfect dining experience! If you're looking for a fun place with mouthwatering seafood and outstanding hospitality, we highly recommend giving Kickin' Crab a try. We can't wait to come back! We had to celebrate the blessed day! Highly recommended

My friends and I are on a cross country road trip and were really craving a seafood boil--We found…read morethis spot on Yelp, about 15 minutes from our hotel, so we decided to check it out. -- Combo #1, which lets you pick 3 out of 4 seafood options for $47, plus corn, sausage, and potatoes. We chose crawfish, mussels, and shrimp head-on with Cajun&Garlic butter--it tasted super tangy for some reason, I think they may have accidentally added lemon pepper but it was good still. --My other friend got 1 lb of crawfish and 1 lb of shrimp with mild Louisiana sauce, which was sweet and buttery. The Louisiana sauce is definitely the go to choice, if you dont know which to get. --We also got rice (a bit dry but perfect for soaking up the sauce) and steamed broccoli, which was cooked deliciously. -- And the only other thing I would mention, is the shrimp and mussels were of good size but the crawfish was on the skinnier/small size.. a little disappointed but still great, nonetheless. The service was great, and everyone was really friendly. Ambiance wise, the store is small and decorated with a beach shack vibe.

Six boudin balls and banana pudding. Starting with the dish that was the least appetizing, the garlic toast/ bread had no garlic spell or taste just butter taste. 2nd least favorite is the expensive banana pudding . I have had much better banana pudding with no bananas from another restaurant. I would have rather had more than 5 mini vanilla wafers instead of the cool whip topping . $7.99 for that never again . The French Quarter dish was dropped off it was received warm from the doordash dasher . Everything was seasoned well , the shrimp etoufee is a tad bit spicy but it isn't overwhelming. I wish they provided at least two catfish fillets instead of just one . . I didn't want any hushpuppies but there is no choice to decline them. Boudin balls are good. I am from Louisiana been living in Dallas-Fort Worth over 24 years now . I enjoy well cooked cajun meals . Portions large enough for leftovers

I ordered the Coddle Plate ($18.95), which is described as tilapia and jumbo shrimp sautéed with…read morehouse seasonings, topped with a creamy cheese sauce mixed with pico de gallo, served with basil white rice. What I received was completely inedible. The tilapia was burnt and tasted almost rotten, not just overcooked but scorched to the point where the flavor was overpowering and unpleasant. The shrimp were also burnt to a crisp. The tails were visibly blackened, not charred for flavor, but burned. I managed maybe three bites before having to stop. No amount of cheese could cover how bad the fish tasted, and it honestly felt like the cheese was being used to mask a serious cooking issue. This was a complete waste of nearly $20. I also ordered the Grits & Gumbo, described as deep-fried grits with a crunchy exterior topped with house seafood gumbo. The grits were hard and bland, not flavorful. The gumbo itself was disappointing: the roux was thin and bitter, lacking depth or seasoning. The only decent part of the dish was the shrimp, but that alone couldn't save it. I finished the gumbo, so I'm not expecting a refund there, but the coddle plate absolutely should be refunded. It was genuinely inedible. Unfortunately, based on this experience, Flying Fish will not be getting any more of my business. Whoever is running the kitchen does not understand execution, seasoning, or basic seafood preparation. Strongly do not recommend.

Looks like April 2017 was my last trip in here. Two stars then yikes!…read more Fortunately tonights experience was much better. However, this location in my opinion is the weak link among all the Dallas Ft Worth locations. My fried catfish and shrimp combo accompanied by fries and 2 hush puppies did the trick. The decor as all the others is nuvo bait shack which I love. All in all, if you're hunting " seafood" in this area, their extensive menu will surely satisfy One of your cravings.
