We had a reservation and when we arrived, we were told to head up and the only table was our reserved table. The bartender with blue hair came over, didn't greet us, didn't ask what we wanted to drink, just immediately told us we would have to sit outside because the table we were at was for 6. (We were a party of 2). I explained we had a reservation and she scoffed. So unwelcoming. We got up and left and will not be back.

The bartenders were really nice. The bottle "cellar" area is full of different styles. I perused the area and if your looking for international beers this is a good place to look. The shelves were stocked with a very wide selection of mostly Belgian, Italian brews with American Micro and German coming in just behind. I've had Spanish brews before, but they actually had in stock six to 10 different Spanish Brews and some Brazilian beer. (Makes sense since a Brazilian Steakhouse is connected to the building) The prices were fair and they even had some exclusive Iron Abbey collab beers with local breweries. It's out of the way for me bottle shop wise, but if I do stop by the area I'll of course check out their stock. I found a couple of nice hard to find Imperial Stout's that now have a nice home. A nice addition to the building.

Okay, I see you, Lancaster. If there's one restaurant to allure the Michelin guide to Lancaster,…read moreit's Josephine's near the famous Central Market. Joining for dinner on a Thursday evening in July, here's my experience. 1) Food: The chef and pastry chef take their jobs seriously. Every dish was unique, full of flavor, beautiful, and worth every dollar. To start, they bring out homemade bread made fresh every morning with salted butter. I ordered the special- five jumbo shrimp with smoked garlic aioli. (They have cocktail sauce if you want it, but the garlic is phenomenal.) Before the main came out, the chef brought over the gazpacho using vegetables from his garden. The soup was thicker than I'm used to, but it paired perfectly with the vegetables. It was delicious! The scallops for the main were perfectly cooked and worked with the sauce in the middle of the plate and the green sauce on top of each scallop. Another winner! The lemon custard was refreshing for dessert. It's presented so well where you uncover more layers with each bite. 2) Drinks: They have a full cocktail menu with drinks named after famous people, wine, beer, and mocktails. Enjoying more sweet drinks, I ordered the "Marilyn Monroe." It was a fun drink, but a little too sweet for me. If you like berry and sweet drinks, you'll love it! 3) Service: It's excellent from start to finish. My server Tate was friendly, passionate about the menu, and efficient. His timing with everything was impeccable. 4) Space: It's beautiful. Despite on the basement level, it's lit well with photos of famous icons on the walls. It's iconic!

Great service like that still matters. Bird went with the crab cake and was already planning her next visit halfway through dinner. I started with the shrimp cocktail, followed by the Caesar salad and filet, all outstanding. Everything was paced perfectly and cooked exactly right. And then came dessert...which somehow topped everything else. Incredible way to finish the night. Between the food, atmosphere, and service, it was the perfect spot to celebrate 20 years, plenty of laughs, good memories, and another adventure for the books. Highly recommend.

In my opinion, it is the best gym around and it is truly a lifestyle beyond anything. The Escape is the perfect place to do exactly that. Have to say that while it appears to be an amusement park from beyond the fence with massive water slides and multiple aquamarine pools for various uses; from within it makes more sense and is actually quite attractive in a hyperactive way. Happy Hour with half price drinks was a good deal, and the bar food offerings were also well designed to complement the alcoholic drinks, if not all that tasty, nor compelling in their own right. So many people in a relatively small space around the bar, that conversation was a bit challenging. Plenty of alternative distractions among the many "beautiful" folks who enjoy being the center of attention, and know how to do it right, especially when encouraged with beverage. With music playing in the background the experience was a mixed bag. Clearly, the plan is a bit over the top, and made for people with kids or those who like this glitterati experience. Yet, there was a full house that evening, and business was booming. Covid put an end to the crowds for the last year, but I suspect the club will be back in action full tilt come vaccinations and reduced mask wearing. I'm the more cautious type, and will wait a while before accepting my next invitation.

The rabbit poutine was very good. The meat was tender and we loved the fries with the cheese curds. The tartine was tasty and we liked the whipped ricotta. The bread & butter came out warm and we loved the cultured butter. For our entrees we ordered the steak frites, crab ravioli, and the half rack of lamb. The steak frites were a very large portion and cooked perfectly, and we loved the crunchy fries. The crab ravioli was delicious and we also loved the clams. The Lamb was also prepared perfectly but we didn't care for the seasoning. For dessert we had pistachio brûlée and sour cherry ice cream. The ice cream and brûlée were very good and the brûlée was large enough for both of us. It would be five stars, however, the cocktails took a while and we were not informed the butter for the steak frites would be an additional $6 and $9 dollars. The entrees were already $44. The restaurant is beautiful, and the service was excellent. We loved our bottle of Cab Franc and also the Amuse-Bouche. Our daughter also enjoyed her comped birthday dessert. We will be back again for happy hour!
