I guess you could say that I have run the gamut of Bothell Chiropractic and Wellness; chiropractic care, rehabilitation, massage, and Ideal Protein. I definitely feel as though this is my home away from home where, "Everyone knows my name." It is a comfort for me to entrust my healthcare to the clinic and I consider each individual as part of my family. I have been seeing Dr. Dubois and her team for almost three years now. I first discovered them when I received a free chair massage at their booth at Bothell's RiverFest. I had been receiving prior chiropractic care in Seattle, but since moving to the north end, I was in search of a new clinic in the Bothell area. As soon as I came in for my new patient consultation with Dr. Dubois, I knew her and her clinic would be a great fit for me. The new patient consultation was extremely thorough and she discovered that one of my legs was slightly shorter than the other, which was causing my chronic lower back/hip pain that had been persistent since my first pregnancy. She started me on a regular chiropractic care plan and advised insoles for my shoes which help to balance my legs and in turn reduce my pain. In July 2011, I was in a car accident and sought treatment for whiplash (my neck felt like it couldn't hold my head up straight). Again I was given a thorough examination of my neck and shoulders and was found to have an injury that, if not taken care of immediately, would impact me for the rest of my life. I immediately began an aggressive ritual of 3-chiropractic and rehabilitation visits per week with 1-2 massages a week for a 6 month time span. I was introduced to Dr. Doergy and Dr. Parker for my rehabilitation. I quickly gained a trusting and friendly rapport with each of them. And let's not forget the wonderful massage clinic. I have seen most every massage therapist at BCW. Each has their own technique and I know who I can request to get just the type of massage I'm in need of at a particular time. I have started taking my two boys, ages 7 and 4, to the clinic to get adjusted as they play contact sports. They love having the "popcorn" popped in their neck and back. Both Dr. Doergy and Dr. Dubois have treated my kids and it was a great experience all around. (A special shout-out to BCW to being VERY patient with my crazy and loud boys when we come into the office) What more can I say, I just love these guys! read more

The first appointment I had was the same day after work, which was nice both for the immediacy and the flexible hours. The people at the front desk are very cordial over the phone and in person. Within in a few minutes they had me registered, back in an exam room and paged the doctor to let them know I was waiting. Dr DuBois was very professional and friendly walking me through the process and setting expectations in regards to treatment type, frequency and recovery. True to her word I was mobile within a week and better than I had been before I hurt my back by week two. I have been really impressed with the technology, demeanor, results and atmosphere in this office, so unlike most places you visit in the medical industry. The front desk personnel were very efficient in letting me know what my insurance would cover and various options on the amount of treatment going forward coupled with options on payment. After a brief review of this information, they quickly put together a schedule for future appointments and added me to their notification system which can send reminders via text, email or phone. I thought I was done after my back was in great shape and feeling good in such short order. On one visit in my first week I thought I would ask about the Wellness in their name and find out what else they might provide. The first thing I tried was their nutrition program for weight loss which Dr Dubois had been doing herself and spoke very highly of. I thought I would try it based on the excellent results the produced working on my back. I was amazed at how well organized they were and how simple this looked compared to the Vegan diet I had done for 3 months over the summer. Within the first two weeks 12lbs, and 3 pants sizes magically disappeared with little to no effort. I can't "weight" to see what week 3 looks like. 2 for 2 I thought I would get a massage instead of going to a Spa or Massage Envy to see how they compared. This also was a winner as the last of the tightness in my back went away and I feel way more flexible. I found this surprising as I usually get a massage every couple weeks and this has been a lot more effective. I would highly recommend this provider to anyone who takes the time to read this. I feel a lot better than I did even before I hurt my back and well on my way to getting back into the shape I was in college :) read more

I can not say enough good things about Bothell Chiropractic and especially Dr. Doerge and my masseuse Suzanne! You see, I am not and easy patient. I have scoliosis so my back will never be at 100%. I also have MS (multiple sclerosis) so it is sometimes hard to determine if a symptom is a back problem or an MS symptom. In the past I have not have the best luck with chiropractic care because my body often does not react the way you think it should. A friend started care with Dr. Doerge at Bothell Chiropractic and he could not stop talking about how great he was. At the time I was suffering from frequent headaches, constant low back pain and a rib injury (at least that's what I thought at the time). So, I decided to try chiropractic care again. At my first visit with Dr. Doerge I knew it would be a great fit for me. He listened to me and went over all my concerns, he is very patient, and we worked together on a plan of attack. Luckily for me that plan include massages as well. Working with Dr. Doerge has been great. not only is he one of the nicest men you'll ever meet. He really listens and will adjust his treatment as needed depending on how I am feeling and how my body is reacting to a specific adjustment. My masseuse, Suzanne Clark is also great. She is so willing to adjust her massages as needed and try new things. I can not believe the difference in my back today. I have no lower back pain at all. My neck area is feeling great and I am rarely experience headaches. Turns out the rib problem is probably an MS symptom so that is not much better. But what I love is that both Dr. Doerge and Suzanne are trying new things each time to try to get the ribs pain free. I would like to also mentioning how incredibly nice and helpful the front desk staff is! They always greet me with a smile and are willing to answer any questions I have. And lastly, when I am having a rough day there is nothing better than spending a few minutes petting Sedona and Lola (Dr. DeBois' beautiful dogs) before heading back for a massage or adjustment. I first walked into Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness in January 2011 as a potential, but skeptical ideal protein client - more to placate my husband than out of real motivation. But I was quickly won over by such a great staff and I look forward to my visits there. Their support of the Ideal Protein program goes beyond the basics. They openly share their own experiences on the plan - the successes and the setbacks. They experiment with new recipes and eagerly share them on their Facebook site. They've organized clothing exchanges for dieters that are traversing down sizes. They understand that life happens, and when you stray from the plan, they help you back on track. I used to think that chiropracters were more dangerous to see than helpful; they hurt you so that you would have to keep going back. NOT TRUE! I'm a total believer in chiropractic now and have been seeing Dr. Deorge for about 5 months and in that time he's helped me more than my regular doctor ever has! I have paid well over a grand in medical bills in the last year and have had zero success in getting better (without listing my ailments) and they have never given me any advice on things I can do at home to work on getting me healthy and I was angry when they just tried to give me more pills to take that were expensive and came with negative side effects. My posture is better than it's ever been, I have no more pain between my shoulders and I swear after my first adjustment I could see and breath better! I'm not exaggerating, I called my brother and told him that exactly! It was amazing. Dr. Deorge suggested I take fish oils for the seemingly chronic swelling I was experiencing and after about a month I have no more swelling! He suggested I take vitamin D because it's a natural anti biotic and I did and it's improved my mood and my acne which I've struggled with since I got off birth control. My dermatologist wanted to put me on medications that required me to get my blood drawn every month to monitor my liver! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?! Before that I was on an antibiotic called Minocycline and I had horrible dizzy spells which made walking around stores difficult, I would have to stop and hang onto something to steady myself. My husband and I started treatment at Bothell Chiropractic and Wellness for injuries we sustained in a car accident back in 2010. I have to say that my back prior to this accident was already messed up from a previous severe whiplash injury that I never got properly treated so I've managed to deal with chronic pain because I didn't know any better. What I appreciated about working with Dr. Parker and the rest of the BCW team is that they were not only concerned with easing the pain we received from our accident but our overall health by doing adjustments and physical and massage therapy. After several months of care I felt the best I ever have in my life and we able to close out our treatment for the car accident within couple of months. We decided to also continue getting adjustments because we finally felt that we understood the health benefits to getting chiropractic care. It was also during that time I received the best surprise of all, after years of trying we found out that we were pregnant with our first child. Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness In October 2010, we started receiving chiropratic care adjustments from Dr. Ryan Doerge. We soon discovered that his listening skills, as we explained our physical problems, his technique and genuine concern for his patients was a perfect match for us. He not only spends time with the physical adjustments but he explains what he is doing, why he is doing it and why it will help our particular problem. He also has spent a considerable amount of time teaching us exercises that we can do at home to relieve discomfort and build muscle strength and memory. Tom suffers from peripheral neuropathy and although not a reversible condition, he receives tremendous relief from Dr. Doerge's adjustments. I have been a patient of Dr, Ryan Doerge for about 6 months if not longer. I started going due to migraines. I had been tried other methods to get rid of my migraines with no success; such as MRI's and a bunch of different medicines. Nothing was working and I was at the end of my rope. I had heard stories of my friends being coerced into treatment that they didn't feel comfortable with. I can tell you that is not the case at BCW. Dr. Dubois and her staff are there help and work with you. They meet you where you are at and listen to what your body and mind tell them. BCW is a great example for other business that want to provide the best care for their patients. The staff is skilled and varied. The variation is a good thing, because I have learned that your body responds to different people and treatment styles differently. I have had care from everyone at the practice and while all are great, I have found the staff that implement the treatment I best respond to. Changing care providers is okay! There is no bad feelings and it is encouraged because they understand this concept. Bottom-line, if your back is hurting and you aren't sure what to do, give them a try. You won't be disappointed! Well where do I begin? I had never been to a chiropractic office prior to my car accident so I really didn't know what to expect and the thought of someone adjusting my back was a little unnerving considering the amount of pain I was in. I chose BC&W originally because it was close to home and on my insurance plan. Well I have completely struck gold with this place. First off the office staff is amazing. They are all so sweet and attentive. They know your name when you walk in the door. There are 3 chiropractors at this office and I have been adjusted by all however Dr. Doerge is my regular chiropractor and he is amazing! He has the best attitude. He is so happy and cheerful. It makes all the difference in the morning when your back is hurting. I leave there feeling refreshed and eager to start my day. They have a state of the art office equipped with massage therapy as well. My adjustments have been amazing and I am taking all the stretching advice that has been given to me. I am in less pain and I no longer have regular migraines on a weekly basis! I highly recommend this place. "You broke your neck!!" Imagine the shock of hearing that you broke your neck in a car accident years and years ago and never knew it - that happened to me! When Dr. DuBois pointed out the fracture on my digital x-rays, I admit I was a little freaked out. I mean, a broken neck - holy cow!! Talk about sobering news. But I immediately understood that the trauma from that long-ago crash explained all the neck pain and stiffness I'd had pretty much my entire adult life. (I thought it was just the way I was built or carried stress or something.) In her calm, knowledgeable manner Dr. DuBois reassured me and described how she could use her chiropractic skills along with rehab and massage to help me. Her evaluation of my issues was very thorough, and I really appreciate that she took plenty of time to explain everything and answer all my questions (and my husband's). I've been hanging out at the clinic for nearly three weeks now, and although I have a long way to go I am definitely noticing improvement. Buyer Beware if you want to use your health insurance! I am a new mom and I needed to relax. Why not support local business I thought. I made an appointment to see a massage therapist and confirmed with the girl on the phone that they were contracted with my insurance. No problem, she says. I also confirmed that I DID NOT need a referral from my gp. I got to my appointment, checked in, GAVE THEM MY INSURANCE CARD, and had a lovely massage. I felt fantastic, until I got a phone call a couple of weeks later. I'm so sorry they tell me, we don't actually contract with your insurance. That's ridiculous I say, I confirmed before I made the appointment, you took my card when I checked in, you saw who my provider is. After many phone calls, and a lot of run around they send me another bill for the full amount telling me oh ok they'll bill my insurance but I actually needed a referral from my doctor. Seriously Bothell Chiropractic? I'm sick of talking to you so I'll pay this bill because I don't want the hit on my credit when you send it to a collection company but your customer service is for crap and I will be reporting you to the BBB. Whims can be a wonderful thing! One day I was strolling down Main St. in Bothell headed to the Hillcrest Bakery. Just before I got to the bakery, I saw a sign for Bothell Chiropractic & Wellness that claimed I could lose an average of 5-7 lbs per week. Well, since my general practitioner had been after me for years to lose weight and I needed to find a new chiropractor, I decided that I would pop in to ask some questions. Best decision I made on a whim ever! Dr. Dubois' intake exam was the most thorough I'd ever had and I've been going to a chiropractor for about 12 years. She told me about a condition in my lower spine that explained pretty much all the problems I'd been having. She also recommended that I start the Ideal Protein protocol to lose weight. Since June of 2011, I've gone from a (very) tight size 18 to a 6! My GP and I are both extremely happy! Dr. D and the Ideal Protein staff (shout out to Alana--such a great coach!) have a no-nonsense approach that will help you get to your health goal! Chelsea and Kimi are always friendly and helpful, and I get some dog time with Sedona and Lola whenever I go in for an appointment! read more

I have always been a bit skeptical about chiropractics. Some people say it really works; some people say it doesn't. Therefore, I was always on the fence about it. When Sarah was having her migraines and was getting no relief, it was tough to stand around and not be able to do anything for her. When she began seeing Dr. Doerge and the folks at the Bothell Chiropractic and Wellness clinic, she was hooked. And she was beginning to see some relief. She convinced me to go, and I decided to take a chance. Being someone unfortunate enough to have a double spinal fusion I was worried that nothing would offer me any relief. Well, I was wrong. While I will probably NEVER be completely pain free, Dr. Doerge and the rest of the staff have done a wonderful job of assisting me in feeling much better both physically and even mentally. I don't suffer from headaches nearly as much, and my back doesn't hurt nearly as much. I am now a believer in chiropractics and a recommender to anyone else who thinks as I have previously thought. There are some talented practitioners here, but not all are, so be careful. Also, be prepared for a sales pitch for a very expensive, very time consuming treatment plan. I was assured, and I do mean assured, that it would resolve my issue. It did not. Not even close. No explanation provided. Apparently I am expected to fork over yet more money, to get probably even less helpful results. I found the PT to be superficial and noticed that EVERYBODY there is doing the same thing. They will sell you access to their "vibration plate" and "traction" which I found sort of gimmicky, and did nothing for me. This was a waste of money and time, and they wanted more of both. Nice people, but my feeling is that they need to check the greed motive. They need to own their mediocre results if they are going to free you of over $1000 and months of you time. Also, be aware that this office runs a promotional program wherein their patients can win prizes for doing things such a writing glowing reviews of their office. Seem unethical? Yeah, I think so too. read more
