Very surprised how fast and efficient their work was, and for a fraction of the cost that Renewal by Anderson quoted us before we went with Quality! Also great communication through and through.

Weird but fine, if the text etiquette is on point. His was a mess. He asks me to take pictures inside and out, of the windows. Ok sure, but I'm one town over and you could just pop by. He asks what I want, I say picture windows. He sends me a picture of double hang and says he recommends them. Don't need them. Then he just TEXTS me a price range. Red flag. Where's your quote with the type of door being used? Also, the number is high. I ask for the SKU to look it up on my own. He sends me a generic link to an affiliate landing page for DOUBLE HUNG DOORS. Ok, so here's where you have to use your best judgement. These guys have great ratings on multiple pages, so they obviously do excellent installs. But that doesn't mean they aren't ripping people off, because you can get similar work done for MUCH cheaper. That's where I got him, bc he wasn't willing to disclose where his range was coming from and then immediately tried to pass me off to Renweal by Anderson, which is widely known as THE biggest price-hike in the game. The safe bet with them is whatever they quote you initially is about double what it should actually cost. So it makes sense the owner thought it's a reasonable peer in the industry. Then he weirdly started text-harassing me when I passed on his offer. Piss off.

You ever have a basement window just....sporadically shatter for no apparent reason? Well,…read moreevidently this is just a thing that randomly occurs in this part of town. The last time I had glass shatter spontaneously was back in '24 when our winter storm door screen was completely pulverized by the summer heat, it seems (Pro-life tip: swap out your storm door screens in the summer with mesh ones). On the back of that unforeseen devastation, out went my mass inquiries to all the local shops servicing the Nashua area. Out of maybe 5 (?), 3 responded almost instantly. One sent a quote so high, I was half tempted to reply and ask if I could have some of whatever they were smoking. Another replied with what seemed to be a promising rate, but there was one problem. Their communication was severely intermittent to the point where they inexplicably ghosted me faster than a recruiter responding to a job applicant. Ultimately, I settled on Good Window Works. They offered a fair quote, were easy to get ahold of, and even provided a COI statement as per the request of our housing board. For those unaware, a COI is a Certificate of Insurance. Basically, it's assurance to the board that the contractor in question is insured to complete the job without creating a liability if they, say....jam their thumb beneath a tack hammer or something. With those formalities out of the way, the job was simple enough: Replace the half of the basement window that abruptly disintegrated. All in all, the job took roughly 2 hours. In the end, the window he installed was so transparent, it looked like there was no pane at all in the frame. But no--the glass was just THAT pristine! I don't say this often, but....experiences like these are what I love most about being a Yelp writer. So rarely do I get to be in the position to not only promote another hard working local business, but also pose as the microcosmic advertising vehicle that just might serve as the prompt some very fortunate individual needs to go, "Yeah, I'm hiring this place to work on my house". If you're wondering whether you should hire these guys for your next installation or repair job, the answer is likely yes. Good Window Works is worth 5 window panes clearer than thin air out of 5.

Only Good Windows responded and sent someone out to do an estimate. They just finished the job. The original estimate was done from the ground, however when the technician was able to get the unit out of the frame, (This is an old style window), we both saw that additional work had to be done. The tech did the work and did an excellent job. It was only a bit more over the original estimate, but quite reasonable. I highly recommend Good Window Works.

It has been an absolute pleasure working with Chris on this very important investment. My windows were 25-year-old vinyl double-pane and double-hung. They were absolutely horrible and I had to put up thin plastic films over the windows to prevent cold draft coming in. I set out on a journey to get my 17 windows replaced. I have gotten quotes from 10 different contractors and the quote from Window Master was the best by far. I had quotes from $500-$1200 per window. Due to the # of windows I was installing, Chris quoted $330 per window installed. I did all the research on my own and know what kind of windows are good and I know I wanted something with U-factor of less than 0.3. I was intrigued by Chris' CraigsList posting for triple-pane windows offering much better energy efficiency at a reasonable price; his windows has a U-Factor of 0.21. They are Alside Mezzo triple-pane double-hung windows. Communication with Chris was a breeze. I called on Monday and asked him to come out and give me a quote. He said he'll on Friday to schedule a quote. He called on Friday and scheduled me on Sunday (I wasn't available on Saturday). Chris came on a cold Sunday morning. He brought the demo window and briefly went over the window features. He was knowledgeable, fair, polite, courteous, and did not try any aggressive sales tactics. I had a few concerns about my current windows and he answered them. When I asked whether or not I should replace my only 2-year-old-window, he suggested against replacing it because it's in good working order, despite the fact that window is inferior to his triple-pane offerings. He measured the windows and then left for his other appointments. At the end of the week (this was 2 weeks before Christmas), I reached out to Chris and informed him I would like to proceed to get the windows with his company. He sent out a contract a day later. I printed it out, signed and sent it back to him via Email. Due to the amount of windows I was replacing, Chris offered 2-tempered glass windows and 3 bottom-frosted windows free of charge. Other companies wanted $400 just for those features. About 2-3 weeks later, I reached out to Chris to get an update on the windows. He informed me it'll take 1-2 extra weeks for the windows to be delivered from the manufacture. One week later on a Sunday, Chris texted me to let me know the windows have finally all arrived and whether I was available the next day to get them installed. I was out of town and will be back on Sunday (7 days later). He said he'll reach out later in the week to schedule something to get the windows installed. On Friday, he reached out again and we scheduled the upcoming Monday (MLK day) for the installation. Monday morning at 8AM, his 2-man crew finally arrived with a truck full of windows. The two men did a great job removing my old windows and installing the new windows. They also insulated window pockets as needed. Once they were done, they caulked the windows trims. The windows were just the right size so their fit was snug and air tight. Chris did a great job measuring the window sizes and his crew did an excellent job installing the windows. They replaced all 17 windows in 1 day and were done by 6PM. I was so happy with their work, I tipped each person $20. My house used to feel "chilling" cold even when the heat was set at 72. Now at 66, it feels warm. This was the best investment I've ever made. It was the right choice to work with Chris and his company. I've started referring him to my friends and co-workers already.

It's now mid-November, and not only are the windows still not installed, but the installation date was just pushed again to mid-December--almost five months after signing. We specifically reviewed the timeline because we wanted this done before it gets cold. We have booked dog daycare which has to be rescheduled, it affects our schedules, plans, and will massively impact our work, which is WFH. The measuring process was chaotic. The person sent to measure always gave last-minute notice and had to come out multiple times because they kept miscounting the number of windows--always short by one. Communication throughout this process has been terrible. You have to constantly follow up for updates; Zen never reaches out proactively or takes ownership of delays. Every update comes only after you chase them. When we brought up these issues, the company's response was to blame the original sales rep, who is "no longer with them." Convenient excuse, but the timeline and promises were in writing. Zen has taken no accountability for the misinformation or poor service. Yes, they may be cheaper than competitors, but you truly get what you pay for--unreliable timelines, lack of professionalism, and customer service that's downright egregious. Buyer beware!
