Boston Pizza is known for just that Pizza. Most of the Boston Pizza locations are the similar in decor but all different in taste. Booths located down the sides. To the left you will walk into the Bar where the house the TV for the sports nuts. Many of occasions the bar will be packed with people watching a game. Service is actually really good as they are very efficient or at least the girl that was serving us was. When I was there I had the Three Cheese toast with garlic I think it was around $5 bucks. I had the lasagna in a dish which was very good but I have not yet come across one that was like it was homemade. Total coast was about $22.00 and the portion was big. Boston Pizza is a family restaurant for all ages.

Martha's Pizza II - Bacon Cheeseburger in the bag

Review is closer to a 1.3/5, or a 2/10. Ordered last night through Uber Eats. Ordered a large…read moredonair sub without veg, and a bacon cheeseburger with fries, without veg, and asked for some ketchup included. They very clearly don't bother reading the requests, because they had full veg on the sub, and onions on the burger. But that itself wasn't the problem... The food was just terrible. The sub fell apart upon opening, with the cheese and meat both falling off the bread immediately. Bread was both overly toasted and way too soft to hold the ingredients, and apparently the donair sauce was on the side with the burger and fries, something I wasn't told of. Reason I didn't look? Cause the entire container was open and just tossed in the bag without any care. The burger was overcooked and tasted of the grill, with the only reason it was edible at all being the okay bacon on top. The fries were actually alright, the only reason I wouldn't give it a straight 1, as they were crispy and tasted good, but I also know for a fact that they're the same kind of frozen fries you can get at the grocery store. But hey, not gonna judge, they were the best thing I got. Got two portions of donair sauce, they were okay, but again, wasn't informed they were even in the bag. All in all...Awful food from a place I know can make really good stuff. I understand it was Christmas, but if you can't make the same quality of food, there's no reason to be open at all during the holidays.

Ordered delivery and really liked their donair - better than Tony's to me. Meat was good thickness…read moreand well seasoned, wrap bread held up well. Also enjoyed some pizza. Delivery was faster than expected which was nice.

We were lucky to get a table in the small outdoor patio and enjoyed Seafood Chowder, Cobb Salad and the star of the show, the Crobster Roll. Everything was fresh and well prepared. On to the food -- My spouse ordered seafood chowder and said the broth in particular had tremendous flavor. It was filled with haddock, 2 scallops, 4 mussels, and a bit of lobster along with potatoes, carrots, celery and onions. A tiny biscuit came with the chowder, which was a little disappointing. I ordered the scallop and pea risotto which offered an explosion of flavor in every bite. The creamy risotto came fused with mint and a dotting of fresh peas, and the 5 scallops topped with crème fresh and mini radish sticks and fresh pea pods added texture. Service was spot on, and since we did not have reservations yet were the first to enter when the establishment opened in the evening, the staff graciously gave us a 90-minute window to enjoy our meal. If we vacation in this quaint town again, The Canteen definitely will be among the first eateries we visit.

Opening up on Blowers Street in the spring of 2024, Buddy's Deli is a takeout spot slinging subs to…read morethe downtown lunch crowd. It's a bit of a long haul from my office, but an appointment in the area brought me by and I had to scratch my sub itch. The menu is pretty compact , with eight-ish subs on the go at any given time, including a rotating monthly special. Prices seem to be comparable to the premium subs at their local competitors. The Italian bonafides of the Buddy Roma caught my eye: with lettuce, tomato, provolone, mortadella, ham, salami and roasted bell peppers, all held together with a pesto mayo, it seemed like an easy win! Taking the hefty sandwich back to the office, I unwrapped it and dug in. There was a generous portion of meats, with their tender, salty and savoury goodness melding together. The provolone added its signature mild funk, while the roasted bell pepper and pesto mayo really brought up the flavour with bright vegetal notes. Some acid would have been nice to cut through all the richness, but this was definitely a tasty sub nonetheless! A truly great sandwich is often more about the bread than it is the ingredients, and while Buddy's standard sub bun wasn't groundbreaking, it was light and soft, and held up well against its robust fillings. A return visit had me trying their clubhouse sub. If you're a club sandwich purist, it's a bit of a curve ball since in addition to lettuce, tomato, bacon and turkey, it has Black Forest ham, Swiss cheese and dill pickles. Let's be honest, getting your nose out of joint about something like a club sandwich is a bit much, and these additions are all very typical sandwich ingredients in their own right. Once again, it was a very solid sandwich! It was generously filled, and the *real* crumbled bacon stood out flavour-wise, with the tomato and pickles cutting through the savoury ingredients and slathering of mayo. The hefty sandwich made for two good lunches. I could have put it down in one, but I would have been significantly less productive that afternoon. Buddy's is putting some quality sandwiches out and fills what was a surprising blind spot for downtown Halifax, while filling up your stomach.

From the owner: Come on down to buddys deli where the sandwiches are large and fresh and the customers are treated…read morelike family.
