There a bus company it's not amazing it's not horrible can't expect more than that. Pretty cheap to go to Boston so can't complain

Great service! I took Boston Express from Boston to Salem, NH and back today, and it was a pleasure. The busses were clean and on time. The drivers and the people behind the counter were nice, too. The park n' ride station in Salem was really nice, too! Very clean, with bathrooms and complimentary coffee. They even have a bookcase with books you can read! read more

Reservation system is a complete mess. Their website doesn't even have a basic limit function so that they don't oversell buses. You buy a ticket and it's a reservation NOT A GUARANTEED SEAT. This morning they oversold the bus by several spots and said "sorry figure it out, our next bus doesn't come for over an hour" Oh and it takes 7-14 days to get a refund and you have to call an 800 number as the employee at the station won't even issue one themselves. Hassle-free way to get to Logan Airport. Convenient location off I-93 with free parking. Helpful staff at the Exit 5 terminal. Drivers are terrific and exhibit both safe driving, but with the assertiveness necessary to get you where you are going. Love the ability to sit back and leave the traffic hassles to these professionals. Had driver Bob on our last two return trips including one in the aftermath of a messy ice storm. read more

I have taken this bus many times from Londonderry, exit 5 to Logan Airport. It's very convenient, the buses are clean, and the bus drivers have always been very pleasant. You can't help traffic going into Boston or out of Boston especially at rush hours, so I would always suggest taking an earlier bus if you absolutely have to be on time. read more

I have been taking this bus to travel to Boston on numerous occasions. I really love it as it is a very relaxing way to travel to Boston. I am a stellar customer and travel alone. Hence, I never make a peep on the bus. I did not give this a 5 Star Review simply due to their no cell phone policy. I got a call from my son due to an urgent matter. I was whispering into the phone. I would never talk for an extended period of time and he lives in Seattle. We cannot talk on the phone but I am in the front seat near the bus driver so I was reprimanded at 65 years old. I don't appreciate that. We are listening to conversations from passengers in the rear of the bus throughout the trip, but we cannot talk quietly into the phone for a brief urgent matter. Makes no sense and I told her that. I hope this policy is changed especially for lonely solo travelers who would never abuse the privilege of speaking to their families regarding an urgent matter. We don't want to go to bus jail for talking! read more

It is very nice that they provide access to tyngsborough and nashua but God forbid you have to reprint your ticket. It is an Act of Congress and pisses off the driver bad. Word to the wise. Don't use the online service. Take extra time out of your day to go to the station in tyngsborough and buy the damned ticket. If you are returning home after a trip and unexpectedly have to take the bus don't buy the ticket until you get to South Station from Logan. read more

Great company, always on time... Rare occasions are there issues, and they are always rectified immediately. One time a while back I completely screwed up and needed to go back to Boston so he gave me a ride back... (He was going back anyway but he was supposed to go straight to the airport) This is quasi state owned, but they are far from state employees stereotype!! read more

I use this service when traveling from Logan airport to Salem NH. It is convenient very reasonably priced. I gave it 3 stars because the past two times I have taken the 10:05 from salem to Logan it has been late. When I asked the attendant at the counter she said the driver runs late. I arrived at Logan 30 minutes late. I made my flight because I was able to go through TSA pre check but if not for that it would have been too close to all. The regular security lines were crazy. read more

I have been taking the bus into Boston from Salem and back for work for about 8 years . It has been for the most part a good experience. Ever since the buses have resumed post Covid, there has been an influx of people going to the airport. They are rude, ignorant, and completely clueless. Their once a year trip to the airport seems to make them feel entitled for unknown reasons. Whether it's their baggage that they don't know what to do with, or what part of their ticket they give the driver, it's always a cluster. Today one of them thought it a good idea to put his two backpacks in seats. As the bus was crowded, who thinks this a good idea? I don't know put them under with the luggage. How about not blocking the door waiting for your luggage while other passengers are still getting off. I am not the only daily commuter feeing this way, I hope you people going to Logan read this and get it, finally. read more

I like the service for it is convenient. But there was one thing that puzzles me. When I purchased a ticket online, I was instructed to show my ID when boarding, which was what I did. But the driver wasn't happy. He said that I should have had my ID checked in the office before boarding. Is this a company policy or just this particular driver's preference? Note that there was no ticket office at Logan and I wonder what the drivet is going to do in that situation. read more

Great way to get to the airport and not have to pay for long term parking. Be sure to read the bus schedule accurately. I thought my bus was picking up in Salem, NH at 720am to head to Logan, but it turned out that that was the commuter bus with no stop at the airport. Thank god for the driver, Ed Fleming. He offered to drop me off immediately after his South Station stop. If I hadn't taken him up on the offer I would have missed my flight. For anyone taking this bus round trip from Logan to Salem, NH be sure to catch the bus at Logan on the first floor where you see the "Scheduled Buses" sign. They do not pick up outside of the JetBlue arrival doors on the second floor. read more

Bus was supposed to arrive at 9:25 but arrived 10 min late...then at each stop it took forever to get going. They arrived at south station 30 min later than stated in online bus schedule. Be prepared. read more

Nice buses and convenient routes but horrible customer service. The agent in Salem NH likes to lecture and is extremely slow moving when processing. Why do you need to show ID? Also the website sucks. This company has a monopoly and bureaucracy has taken over. Customers first please. read more

I really can't say enough good things about this company! The buses are clean, on time, dirt cheap, have bathrooms and Wi-Fi and extremely pleasant drivers. Oh and the bus depot is spotless and inviting. I leave for Salem NH and ride to Logan. They drop me off right at the jetblue terminal. It really could not be better. The seats are comfortable and spacious. I wish more companies would follow this business model. I am not a bus person but this experience has Me using this company time and time again. read more

Employees are great, friendly helpful. Thats why it gets stars. Riders put there stuff in line like there waiting for the middle school bus. Made no sense to me at first since it didn't seem there were so many people that the seats would be full. But I got it later. All the line spot savers get on and pile there stuff in the empty seat next to them. So if you didn't save a spot and each double seat is full you're out of luck. They'll all pretend not to see people trying to find a seal. Now the seats are really small so I kind of get this but it still sucks. This kind of crap is why we moved back from CT. Typically NH people are better than this. On the train not only are most people better than this but if they aren't the staff makes sure people know not to do this. Also a regular seat on the train would be like a first class seat on the bus. One last thing, and this of course isn't the bus companies fault, because Boston's traffic is ridiculous it can still take 2-1/2 hours or more for the trip. If you're gonna be a jerk stay with the bus otherwise you might want to try the train. read more

Used the shuttle from Logan to Salem and was scolded by the bus driver for taking a phone call. Don't really understand how a phone conversation could be more distracting than the conversation I could have with the person sitting next to me. If your drivers cannot concentrate with some chatter behind them they shouldn't be carrying passengers. Shuttle was on time so no complaints there but I won't be using this service again. read more

This company is garage if you are a daily commuter, for $360 a month what you can expect is poor communication, late buses and cancelled scheduled commuter buses before and after every major holiday (because no one has to work AFTER a holiday in the middle of the week). Boston Express should not have a contract with the state. read more

I have used Boston Express before and was actually quite pleased. Today, however is a different story. I was going for the 10:15am bus to Nashua. As I'm running through the station, at 10:14 the bus starts backing up. I wave to the driver to please stop and let me on. The driver made eye contact with me and shook his head!!!! Mind you, I am close enough to touch the bus. Very disappointed. I believe in being kind and clearly Boston Express does not hold the same beliefs for their customers. The bus trip itself is fine. But their ticketing and scheduling could use some work. I arrived at the Boston depot five minutes before 2 and bought a ticket for 2 o'clock. After waiting 15 min, the arrival sign quietly updated to display the next bus's information. Apparently it had already come and gone before I arrived. So, A) it left before its scheduled departure time, B) they sold me a ticket without seeming to know that it had already left, and C) they were not sympathetic or apologetic once I complained. Granted, five minutes was cutting it close. But while a bus can leave late, it should never leave early. And they need better communication with their ticketing agents. read more

Rude driver yelled at me for making a 30 second important call to my wife while people on every side of me prattle on loudly and incessantly for the whole trip. Driver was offensive and the policy is idiotic and flagrantly biased against people who travel alone and work for a living. A consistent no talking policy would be quite nice actually but being forced to listen to others while I cannot have my own quiet conversations makes this a non-starter. I had hoped to make this a regular thing but I would rather drive and pay for parking. read more

One word for this company... SLOW! I ride this bus daily due to working at Logan Airport and while some of the bus drivers are cool, others are just complete snails. On the return trip northbound, expect to spend 15-20 minutes hanging out at South Station. Seems it would make more sense to just schedule your pickups around the trains rather than sit and make other passengers onboard wait. I've been taking it for nearly a year and I'm switching to a new bus. This bus isn't for commuters. read more

Bus was late and extremely RUDE male driver. I took 12:40pm pm the Boston Express Bus Route 3 from Logan and that driver was so rude. When I wheeled my luggage to the bus he immediately stated he has a broken back and couldn't lift 50 pounds. I told him no problem I would lift my suitcase. He literally lifted my luggage and threw in on the bus. All the time making rude comments about how heavy it was. He told everyone who got on the bus at every stop how he has a broken back. Also stated numerous times what a bad company he works for. I commented to him maybe he should find another job since he hates the ones he has so bad. Also he talked with another passenger about her medical issues and how his wife has medical issues all while driving. The sign that states no talking with the driver when bus in motion. He did all the talking.When I got to my destination, I said I would get my luggage and he took his luggage grabber thing, and literally pulled it so hard it landed on the ground. read more
