If you have a large group you may get seated on their little patio (Hear all the cars and traffic, no AC and the heater for colder days may not be enough) The good: everything else!! Food is amazing. What a great dinner we had!! This place is always so busy, so we found a Thursday night when it wasn't too crazy, and we had three wonderful menu items. We started with the "Country Bread" which are fresh baked rolls with a sweet topping, with whipped butter. Entrees were "Shrimp + Grits" with creamy gouda cheese grits that would have been great even without shrimp. Also the "Shaved Pork Chop Sandwich" was something I never thought to do, cut thin deli slices and add pork belly plus their own barbecue cabbage slaw on top of a sesame pretzel bun. The service started great but the moment you ask them to fix a mistake in the nicest way and still apologize for the bother. The waitress immediately change their mood. When food came out one burger was incorrect so we did ask for it to be corrected. We asked for separate checks for our party ahead of time. They were aware of it ahead of time. When checks came although they tried their best a couple checks were incorrect we asked to be fixed. Again apologizing for the bother. Last minute 2 members decided to cover checks for the people we were celebrating. So the waitress told us "well now I have to recombine them" with a little bit of tude. My partner got the breakfast sandwich which he said was okay. The hostess welcomed us warmly, the wait staff was attentive and friendly, the bartender was fantastic, the chef clearly puts a lot of care into every dish, and even the team clearing the tables was kind and professional. It truly felt like everyone worked together to create a great experience. As for the food, yum... Brunch was unexpectedly delicious. And the jalapeño avocado crema, which I was honestly hesitant to try, ended up being one of my favorite parts of the meal. It was creamy, flavorful, and had just the right amount of kick. Came here for dinner with a friend who was in town. I usually don't come to the downtown Orange area because it can be so busy but I love that the parking structure is nearby so that's one thing not to have to worry about. We ordered drinks and the burrata appetizer and then each got an entree (my friend got the spicy rigatoni and I got the crispy chicken sandwich). Both were good but if and when I return I will probably just order a few more of the appetizer shareables which sounded more interesting! They were busy on a Wednesday night, but still very attentive. I appreciated that they say me when I arrived even though my friend's uber was running behind in traffic. Lunch at Bosscat was amazing! I was at the Orange Circle on a weekday afternoon and feeling those hunger pangs. I walked into Bosscat and immediately liked the vibe. Hayley was my server and provided personable and perfect service worthy of the Waitress Hall of Fame. I started with some bubbly mineral water before deciding on a glass of wine - Pessimist, a red blend from Napa (a good choice). They had a few lunch specials which weren't on the main menu and I gravitated toward one of those - a BLT with housemade chips. It was later in the afternoon, past the time most people have had lunch, so my order came out quickly. The BLT was magnificent. It's such a simple sandwich but everything on this was perfect. The toasted sourdough bread was tasty and held together well. The lettuce and tomato were fresh with vibrant flavor. The bacon was plentiful, crispy, and exploded with bacony flavor. Plus they had some sort of sauce that elevated the whole thing to make it maybe the best BLT I've ever had. The accompanying chips were fantastic too, the kind you just can't stop eating. Tasted like burnt carbon (I tried a bite of hers). I'd suggest staying away from that item and go for the burger instead. Presentation was great and fries were incredible. We tried a few of the drinks and they were really good. I can't remember the name of the drinks but you can't go wrong with any of them. Also tried the fried apple pie and that was so delicious. It was just ok....I'd probably wouldn't order it again. The taste was just ok, could've used a bit more short rib tho. The cinnamon bun is HUUUUGE! No wonder it was under "shareable" part of menu. The cinnamon bun itself was so good! It was crunchy on the outside and soft and warm in the middle. The only complaint is the glaze...that glaze was terrible. Not sure how to describe it, but it was not good. The loco moco was good. The hamburger beef patty wasn't dry. The gravy was flavorful and with the creamy mess of the yolk combined everything together. My daughter got the BLT. She said the bread was nice and crunchy, just the way she likes it. I love coming here for brunch! Their Country Fried Steak is easily one of the best I've had in the area. Other standouts include the Steak and Eggs, the Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich, and the Chile Verde Breakfast Burrito; you really can't go wrong. Tasted amazing. I love all the fruit and honey and other extras in there. We sat outside right at the entrance. It was a very nice ambiance. I love the energy here. Everyone having a good time. We shared the pork belly, mushroom fries, buratta toast, corn brûlée. Portions were good and everything was delicious! Corn brûlée was our favorite followed closely by the burrata toast. Food came out quickly. Ambiance is cool, we appreciated the decor and the good music. The free parking around the corner at the city parking lot was nice. Service was just ok. Aside from the food coming out fast, the other service was relatively slow (taking our order, checking on us, etc). We didn't know this ahead of time, but they only made 10 cinnamon rolls and 8 croissants every Saturday and Sunday morning. So make an effort to be there sooner as to later. We got there at ~10:30a on Sunday and were able to get one. Definitely shareable and a top sourdough cinnamon roll without a doubt! My husband and I also split the Short Rib Chilaquiles with 2 eggs and the avocado add-ons. I'm not always the biggest fan of chilaquiles, but these are some of the best I ever had! The chips stayed crisp, the meat and sauce were immaculate, and the eggs were super fluffy. My husband is a bit of a chilaquiles connoisseur and he said they were more like super saucy nachos and therefore not his fav chilaquiles ever. But this is my review, not his, so I'm not taking a star away for that nonsense! Our waitress was Sophia and she was so nice, helpful, and funny! Was super attentive without seeming like she was interrupting or hovering. The location and building are really cool! My husband and I really loved the music and volume. Might be worth noting that they play the explicit versions of songs... which again, we loved! But we also weren't there with children or a big group / trying to talk to people a couple seats away. I started off with their Bloody Mary, it came with a thick slice of candied bacon and a lime wedge right on top. The menu was definitely full of Thanksgiving favorites such as green bean casserole, pecan stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, cornbread stuffing, macaroni and cheese, turkey, ham, and apple cobbler.
