We went here for the plate of nation special. It was our first time. Even though the space is small, the menu is extensive. I had for the first time a KimChi bugolgi beef banh mi. It didn't have that much meat. My friend liked her roasted duck banh mi. She said her tea was good as well.

I ordered 6 drinks today and I was a little disappointed in the boba. The boba was old texture boba, I know that because I used to work at a restaurant before. The drinks are decent definitely need more tea flavor to it. Service was great today, very friendly. It's a small shop with banh mi, roasted pork, ducks, and party trays to order. Would I order again? Uhm probably but they definitely need to stop using old boba though.

I visited Boss Tea after having dinner nearby, and it was a good spot for a beverage. Boss Tea is a small Vietnamese shop on Rainier Avenue that offers small dishes and a whole menu of different boba drinks to try. On a Saturday evening I was pleasantly surprised to find that Boss Tea was still open after we ate dinner, and there were a few people getting takeout here. Although they serve lots of different Vietnamese bites, I came here for a beverage for the drive home. I was pleased to find that they had a lot of different ube drinks, which is my favorite! Since I didn't want anything with caffeine, I ordered an ube milk latte, which didn't take long to get. The drink was tasty, with lots of ube flavor. Glad to have checked out Boss Tea while around the neighborhood. It's a solid spot for some boba or tea with friendly staff that's happy to accommodate whatever you prefer.

We usually go to Tony's bakery for banh mi sandwiches, but this morning my boyfriend and I were craving bubble tea. It's hard because on a Saturday morning at 10AM, bubble tea places tend not to open until 11-12pm. Well we searched up Yelp and found Boss Tea just a block away serving banh mi sandwiches AND bubble tea, amazing! I got the egg & avocado banh mi and added ham to it- like a breakfast sandwich egg, ham, and avocado, and my boyfriend got their grilled pork and egg banh mi. Sandwiches were delicious! It's also a plus that you have the option to customize your sandwich as well. We can't wait to come back to try some of their more non-traditional banh mis like the roast pork, duck, and there was even lobster on the menu! We also picked up a peach black tea and a matcha mango. Both were very good. I find that sometimes matcha drinks don't have enough of a matcha taste but there is plenty here! Can't wait to come back and try their other menu items and drinks!

I used to love coming here but recently the guy working the tea area is really not nice. I feel like he is rude, never friendly like zero % friendliness, and makes me feel bad for asking any questions or even wasting his time up by ordering something. The ladies that I've encountered are all nice but he has been the one I've been having to interact with lately nearly every time and I think I've had enough that I'll stop coming here sadly.

I visited here with my sister today, we ordered a few different coffee lattes and a lemongrass tofu banh mi for my hubs. I had the ube coffee latte and the tiramisu coffee latte. My sister ordered the pink butterfly and strawberry milk latte. All of it was good, my sister is super upset that there isn't a place like this near her so everytime she comes over we have to get drinks like this. She 100% recommends the strawberry milk latte if you like strawberry type drinks, the tiramisu coffee latte was too sweet for me so next time I'll order it with less sugar. Next time I'm in this area I'm gonna try one of their fruit teas.

This was my first time coming to this shop. I thought the service was okay but while drinking my boba on the way home, I felt something weird in my mouth. I pulled it out and uncurled this sticker or label. Super disappointed and dissatisfied with my first visit and I probably won't return. Unfortunately I was already on the road and it wasn't worth it to turn around but this is gross.

Pretty good! Loved how chewy my boba was. Their ice is square cube shaped, I know most people want to know with ice preference. This place is worth the drive and shares the same interior with banhmi sandwiches. No fresh fruit or fresh take but if you're looking for something sweet and refreshing this place is it. The workers are incredibly nice and knowledgeable and most of all honest. I will continue to support this small business.

I came to Boss Tea a couple of times now. It's been nothing but a good experience each time. Drinks: There are extensive selections of beverages from tea, coffee, matcha, etc. The photo shows Matcha Hurricane(B1) and Mocha Vietnamese coffee (V1) with egg pudding and Boba. Very appealing from the look. Sweetness, ice level, toppings are all adjustable, just like other bubble tea. Cleanliness: The store is clean with a warming atmosphere--definitely 5/5. Staff: Friendly and attentive staff. Drinks and food are prepared promptly. Even they could get busy during lunchtime, and the turnover time is still quick Parking: Shared rear parking with Rainier restaurant. Overall, I recommend if you are craving bubble tea in the area and enjoy! :)

There wasn't anything too spectacular about the drink, after going to so many boba places, it's starting to kind of be similar with the sugary blended drinks. But it is really cool that they also serve food here, like legit Vietnamese food you would find at a deli, not just snacks. They share a parking lot with Rainier Restaurant. There's very minimal seating here, like 4 small bar stools against the window, not really enough room to sit and hang out, more to have a seat while waiting for your order to be ready. This place is great! The deluxe Bánh mí was delicious with flavorful and crunchy pork belly! The bread was toasty yet easy to chew and the veggies tasted super fresh. We also had the pork and shrimp spring rolls which were amazinggg! They're not small like most places and the peanut sauce was okay for the most part. We like spicy food so we added some siracha to the peanut sauce and also added that to the banh mi The boba was pretty good! I got a peach/mango oolong tea with tapioca and lychee jelly and my boyfriend got a grapefruit/mango oolong tea with tapioca, mango jelly and lychee jelly (not on the menu but the lady was super nice about letting us create a drink) There was only 2 women working and one of them seemed like she was new but we were in no rush so we had no problem with the wait. The place is very small but very chill and quiet with a zen vibe.

This place rocks. Really nice people and the food is quick and yum tasty. The bbq pork is more flavorful than the usual, not sure what spices they use but it's interesting. The bulgogi banh mi is delish! The spring rolls and egg rolls are great too. Their signature Boss Tea with boba hits the spot. This place is clean and friendly and everything seems fresh. If you wanted banh mi or boba, many other places do far better. Customer service is not great either, if you do not speak Vietnamese, don't expect to get helped right away. Even when standing in front of the cash register, they will sometimes ignore you and continue doing their own thing without asking if you require assistance or even ask you to wait. read more

Took the munchkins out for lunch today and decided to try this new bubble tea shop. The photos on here looked yummy so I had to check it out. We had ordered the jasmine milk tea with boba, mango green tea with herb jelly & a Thai milk tea with boba. The tea was perfect on sweetness everything at reg levels. The Thai tea and the jasmin milk tea was a bit on the sweater side so I do recommend doing less sweetness unless you have a sweet tooth. I normally don't care for boba, but I am in LOVE WITH HOW SOFT THIER BOBA IS!!! Prices are average of $4-5. The shop of pretty small and they also sell sandwiches inside. We had ordered the grilled pork spring roll. It was not crispy as I had hoped but it was still good. Parking is shared with rainier bbq. I would definitely make the trip back out here. Staffs are very nice and friendly! read more

Boss Tea is combined with Bahn Mi Deluxe. Boss tea has so many different drink varieties and combination. I got a tiramisu coffee latte with lower sugar and lighter ice. It was perfect knowing that if the full sugar FOR ME would be too sweet. It was perfect to have it with a bahn mi even on a rainy day. It was a perfect balance of sweet and salty. I have tried a couple different drinks and they are delicious! Here are the ones I have tried: Boss Tea, Taiwanese Milk Tea and Peach Kumquat Lemongrass Tea (not on the menu, but definitely order... really refreshing)! I like their boba, crystal pearls and egg pudding as toppings. Glad to see Banh Mi Deluxe in the same building. Truly a one stop shop with the Asian BBQ (Peking duck, roasted pork/BBQ pork & soy sauce chicken) and Vietnamese sandwiches as well! I like the roasted pork banh mi and even their yogurt in the fridge! Always leave here with lots of goodies since my husband and son loves it! read more

This was my first time trying this place! When I first walked in, I had to wait a few minutes before being helped or asking what I wanted to order. I went safe and went with the first drink boss black milk tea with boba. It wasn't bad and the tapioca was really soft! They also have sandwiches right next to them, I didn't get to try that but pricing was around $5-7! read more

This place was a miss. The boba has a very bland flavor and a soggy texture. I got the hurricane matcha and unfortunately the matcha was bitter and tasted low quality. There are better options for boba I would recommend over this one. Maybe the food is better? But I won't be back for the boba. read more

Banh Mi and Bubble Tea in a one stop shop for a perfect breakfast, lunch, dinner. They also have duck and chicken to take home for dinner. I tried the tiramisu coffee and it was delicious. Bringing Vietnamese coffee to a whole new level. I also tried the Roasted Pork Belly Banh Mi with eggs and have to say it's the best in town. read more

The Lemongrass Tofu Bahn mi I had was tasty. Well marinated tofu, although I felt the slices could've been a bit thicker. I also got the Ube Taro milk tea with tapioca pearls and lychee jelly. Tasted way warmer than I would've liked, even with a few ice cubes floating at the top. Could've done with more ice personally. Service was quick! In and out within 5 minutes. read more

I just got this butterfly detox tea, I was so excited! The whole concept is cute and aesthetically pleasing, but I must admit, the flavor of the tea was very disappointing. I was looking forward to tasting the tea with whatever flavor it was supposed to be but it was just water and sugar. There was no tea flavor-- I couldn't taste the lemon in it. This gem recently opened, they share the same storefront as Banh Mi Deluxe. Awesome!!!! So, now I can get my banh mi and boba tea fix at the same time! My go-to is their Peach Lemongrass tea (not on the menu but ASK FOR IT! You won't regret it!) and of course, the classic Taro Milk Tea, you can't go wrong with it. Overall, a great addition to the south seattle area, would recommend to all! read more

The tiger brown sugar is the best around, boba was perfect firmness and drink wasn't overly sweet like many other spots. The sandwiches at this spot are a must have as well. read more

I was excited to find a bubble tea spot in South Seattle but unfortunately they did not live up to my expectations. The location was previously a bbq restaurant now transformed to a bubble tea banh mi spot. I ordered a matcha hurricane and a pink butterfly, which was one of their recommended items but was not impressed. I was told that the matcha is fresh and high quality but the flavor of the drink was unbearable and the pink butterfly tasted like I was drinking syrup water. For the price and quality I would not recommend. You can get better at a Tammy's bakery just down the street. read more

The best Boba place in Seattle to be honest. The texture of the boba is just PERFECT... not too soft and not too hard. I recommend trying their Oolong Milk Tea because they use real tea. I would avoid the Matcha Storm though. It's too bitter, unless you like that. Inside that location, you can eat the Vietnamese food they offer inside with that place. Definitely a hidden gem. read more

There wasn't enough description for some of the drinks. Had trouble trying to choose a drink based on that problem alone. Also, ordered a matcha drink and it was too pasty for our liking. The matcha was not mixed correctly or something. However, our other orders such as the brown sugar drink, and a super fruit drink was good. read more

Passing through Rainier Ave and spotted this place for some milk tea and boba. Customer service is non existent and the person helping me didn't seem to know what they were doing. It took over 10 minutes to get one drink. I was the only customer there. The actual drink was very sweet and the boba texture kinda hard. I'll take a pass next time I drive by. read more

OMG, this place is an awesome little spot, love the vibe, with friendly staff! So many great looking options for sandwiches and drinks, hard to pick just one. They'll even make them to your preference (less sweet, etc). And their presentation is amazing. Five stars hands down! read more

There's several small tables inside than can fit a max of 3 people, yet the interior muffles the bulk of the noisy traffic on Rainier Ave. There's some decor on the walls and near the counter where the kitchen is, and the counter to order is almost directly in front of the entrance. Phone reception inside was iffy, as I had to go outside the building to check into here on the Yelp app. Seating was full, mostly from patrons ordering and taking their goods to go but with some actually dining in. For a place that serves banh mi, they also have pho, bun, Vietnamese coffee, lattes and matcha drinks. Several of the drinks are also available in hot formats, and all drinks cost the same except for Vietnamese coffee and lattes which cost $1.95 and $1 less before tax, respectively. There are different price tags for the hot drinks. Banh mi sandwiches also come in bags that look like they could be used for roasted coffee beans - they're dark brown and are about the same size as store-bought coffee bean bags. What a coincidence given they also serve coffee! We got many things from here: - Old school Vietnamese coffee ($7, hot): according to my dad (and me after having several sips), this unfortunately tasted more like American coffee; it was missing sweetened condensed milk to make it more like so, and the coffee itself wasn't strong. It seems regular milk was used as the sweetener instead. - Oolong house blend ($8.95): your standard milk tea. I added both grass jelly and tapioca onto this. Mom liked this and had no complaints; I had a sip and thought it was pretty good too. - Grilled pork banh mi sandwich ($9.95, medium toast): I partially shared this one with my mom. Grilled pork is all right at best, otherwise it has all the works of a great banh mi. We'd still prefer the one from Q Bakery for now. - Butterfly matcha: the butterfly pea flower in this drink created a blue hue inside the drink in its own layer and essentially enhanced the ceremonial matcha taste a lot more, since it tasted more woody and earthier than usual once I mixed everything. It's also sweet enough to satisfy any matcha lover out there. I loved this drink a lot and would highly recommend! - House special banh mi sandwich ($10.95, medium toast): this sandwich is much larger than I expected, and comes with Vietnamese ham, pork ham, pate, jalapeños and what looked like Chinese sausage along with the same works as the grilled pork. Everything went well together and it was loaded! All meats were fresh and just this sandwich alone made me really full. Another high recommend! I really appreciated the staff for asking all the clarifying questions for our banh mi sandwiches and drinks, like how toasted we wanted our sandwiches, the sweetness and ice levels of our drinks, and toppings for those drinks. They also let me and other patrons in line know of wait times for our food, with my order being quoted about 15 minutes and coming out by that timeframe. This place has been open since September of last year, and they have a decked out menu for anyone wanting to grab both food and drink. I'm definitely coming back to try their other drinks and sandwiches!
